JHS Seniors Surprise Teachers with Thank You Letters

- As seniors at Jenks High School approached graduation and the end of their JPS journey, many of them took the time to personally thank a former or current teacher for the influence and impact those teachers had on their success as a student, and as a person. Get the tissues ready.
I'm balling my eyes out.
Great teachers do make a huge impact on their students!! Makes me remember a teacher I had in high school, almost 30 years ago. At my 25th reunion, we were talking about our fav teacher, and he was overwhelmly mentioned as the best. Even after 25 years, the amount of respect, honor and guidance he provided still shines thru his former students. The number of people who consider him as a lifetime mentor, and one of the best people overall.

Without teachers there would never be doctors, engineers, managers, musicians and every other professional on the market
Teachers live in the hearts they touch forever!
I think this should be a project every senior class must do. It helps them realize the people that helped them be successful along the way. I had so many teachers and professors who were my role models and mentors.
Thank you from students is the biggest, best gift any teacher can receive. But hearing just how teacher's have impacted students' lives, is truly invaluable. No greater joy as an educator ♡
No matter how good or bad a teacher, whether they are your most hated to your favorite one, every teacher deserves appreciation in some kind of way. I am so glad that I watched this as this inspired me to write a whole bunch of letters (33 of them) to my teachers throughout the years and I felt the happiest i have ever been in my life due to showing gratitude. Always find opportunities to show gratitiude
That broke me down as a former high school English teacher. I sometimes question whether it was worth it all; you know, worth all the late hours marking papers and preparing lessons for the next day. The kids are all right, and the right teachers definitely do make a difference. Perhaps one day I may be so lucky to receive such praise from some of my former charges. Knowledge is power. I've always believed that.

Thank You To ALL My Teachers! Also I took care of my elementary principal in nursing and she said she was so proud of me. I did good. 🙏 Well I had good teachers and they did good.🙏

I did this for my fifth grade teacher when I graduated from college. She made such a huge impact on me and she didn’t even notice.
I love this because I do this too and it feels like I’m the only student to do it with my teachers.
A teacher truly makes a difference.I wish I had a teacher that asked me how I was when I wasn't.In all the schools I went to I never mattered & never got the help to succeed 😥

literally the whole class had a A+ the whole year
like all we did was play games and watch RUclips on our phones and chrome books but whenever the principal walked in we all pretended like we were working.

We did nothing but f around and play on our phones/chrome books

Omg this so amazing and cute I also graduate In 2019 I'm so close with teachers like their my whole world my everything I still talk them and follow my high school teachers on social media I wouldn't know wat I do with out my teachers

GIVE OPPORTUNITIES TO THEM.
THEY WILL VALUE IT.
GIVE RESPECT TO THE THEM.
