same here! Praise the Lord, God gave us an amazing woman. Jesus Christ blessed her with an incredible talent that cannot be replicated. Melba is beautiful and truly shines. I love that Katt who is a brother in Christ lifted her up and brought to our attention a real talent.
Melba's "Other Side Of The Rainbow" record was broken by Tee Green (doing Benard Ighner's standard "Everything Must Change") in early 2011 by only 3 seconds! The note was held on the word "fly"! Melba still holds the record..as far as women are concerned and she holds the record..as far as 'longest for an album track' is concerned! Her 's was recorded at 36 seconds, while Tee Green's ( a male from U.K.) was recorded just 3 seconds longer at 39 seconds!
Because of that Exhusband /Manager who took all of her money and lied saying Melba was unstable and on crack. She was reduced to Welfare and public transportation. Sadly Her Daughter abandoned her to "get on the money train" I actually ran into her one day in the 90's getting off of a bus and I told her how much I loved Her Music and I will be praying for her. She seemed a bit Surprised and Affected. All I wanted to do was hug her really. But I am so Glad my prayer was answered and she is better than Ever.

Melba still holds the record for holding a musical note for 22 seconds with her 4 octave vocals on any recorded song. Truly underrated artist.
She got 37 seconds in Other Side of the Rainbow. I have yet to hear a longer note LOL
