I see. You used a single weft so the fold over would be thinner. But by laying the track back on top of what was just sewed down, it’s the illusion of it being doubled
Blend with your natural hair? Try cutting layers into it where your natural hair ends. Also if you don’t have your silk press down it won’t blend either cause they’ll be two different textures

I saw someone else do a thin braid right around the leave out that way it’s not bulky
