  • Flying with American Airlines from Miami, FL (MIA) to Los Angeles, CA (LAX)
This video is a flight report onboard the an Airbus A321 operated by American Airlines
My journey began leaving Mar del Plata, Argentina on January 3rd
    • FLIGHT REPORT | Mar de...
Continued with a flight from Buenos Aires to Miami the same evening.
    • FLIGHT REPORT | Buenos...
Looking forward to these last 5hrs of flight into Los Angeles and get some rest.
Unfortunately, Miami tends to be a hub for bad experiences every single time I've used it as a connection.
Immigration and Customs in Miami is awful. No agents were available when our flight landed. Over 400 passengers waiting to go through. Constant waiting, walking and waiting everywhere you go in this airport. Aside the staff is usually very rude. I will definitely be avoiding Miami as a connection airport in the future. You should too.
Once airside I thought we were cleared to have an uneventful flight to LA but boy was I wrong...
Boarded and pushback as normal. And as we were waiting to taxi we were told by the pushback truck that they saw a nail in the front tire. We rolled back into the gate to assess the nail and check to see if it was repairable.
It was not, we were told to deplane and wait for a replacement tire.
1hr 40mins later, the tire was replaced and we were on our way to Los Angeles.
As much as this is an annoyance. I give props for the American Airlines crew for handling it properly and not overlooking the issue.
Thankfully after that, we had an uneventful flight and landed in Los Angeles safely. Exhausted from this entire journey, I was finally able to make it home 25 hours later.
This itinerary (with exception of Mar del Plata) was paid fully with AAdvantage miles.
    45000 AAdvantage miles + $97 in tax
I will definitely do it again if I have the chance!

If that tire wasn’t replaced, who would’ve imagined what could’ve gone wrong...

      Muchas gracias!

You seemed a little upset at the delay for the tire, was you? aren't glad they found it? Cool video.

I was a bit upset because of how exhausted I was.
But I knew it had to be done.
So im glad they didn't overlook the issue and actually replaced the tire.

BTW did that American flight make up for any time lost in MIA?
