20 Encanto Animation Mistakes (& Other Disney Movies)

- We’re taking a look at the most recent animated Disney movies and bringing you the animation mistakes that have been spotted in the movies. First up, the newest movie, Encanto. Did you not notice the moment where the woman with the fish bowl turned into Delores? Or how the maracas flipped sides of the basket Mirabel was holding? How about how Luisa is all over the place? Next up is Raya. The little baby Noi, in an instant gets from atop Tuk Tuk to standing on the ground just to be picked back up. A sweet moment but also totally inconsistent! Then we’ve got Luca which has a couple mistakes such as a disappearing ice cream cone and questionable water logic. And then we’re onto Moana that has completely different canvases from one shot to the next, Moana escaping the mouth of a monster with the magic of animation mistakes, and a gramma with magical hair. Coco has magical doors that really shouldn’t be magical and vanishing security guards. Frozen 2 has a bunch of little things including a disappearing reindeer, characters that were side-by-side suddenly appearing twenty feet away, a sword that can’t make up its mind, and characters on the wrong sides of each other. ONWARD is juggling plenty of continuity problems which is understandable given just how big the movie is and how many props the animators were dealing with. There’s a dad bod that just doesn’t make sense, magically appearing markers (which we have a great theory about by the way), soda - that just like Luca’s ice cream, disappears, and a brother that appears like a devil on the shoulder - or an elf on the shelf - or maybe like a spiderman. Then there’s also a little something we found in Soul that includes all of 22’s found things. Yes, there’s a lot and we didn’t even cover half, but we do have another video so watch that if you’re curious to see more!

The first one is definitely not a mistake, animators made a clear decision to swap the fish lady with Dolores, you can’t do that accidentally and somehow not notice that.

Actually the fish lady is added there as they can't add Osvaldo and the bald priest so when you can hear Dolores' voice more louder that's when she walks to the frame
What about when Dolores could hear the chorus a mile away and teleport to the house? Or was that Camilo all along? We need answers!
Encanto is an amazing Disney Animated Movie.
The thing re: the fish lady turning into Dolores wasn’t a mistake. On Twitter, one of the animators who helped with that part of “Bruno” uploaded a rougher version of that part of the song, but he moved the camera over a little. His version of the clip shows that the fish lady puts her fishbowl down and Dolores replaces her.
I felt #4 too. You captured it really right
Keys when Dolores was dancing in we don’t talk about Bruno look behind her there is a figure moving!
Every time you show that there is a mistake I re watch the movie and releases the mistakes

In we don’t talk about Bruno on Camilos part when he is shifting between himself and bruno, when he is himself he is wearing Bruno’s clothes and has his hands
Most likely nothing, but the potted plant behind which Bruno hides ticks me off, as if the density of the foliage weirdly varies to show him clearer from one frame to another
Encanto:
Camilo’s belly changes colours
In the song “The Family Madrigal” in the part where Mirabel sings “My primo Camilo won't stop until he makes you smile today” when Camilo jumps up just before he shape-shifts into someone else his shirt lifts up and his stomach is white like paper (or more actually the same as his shirt)
However latter on in the song “We don’t talk about Bruno” in the part of the song where the family is getting ready for diner Camilo’s shirt lifts up again and this time his stomach is the same colour as the rest of his skin
So yeah that’s an animation mistake I’ve found
Mirabel's shoes are simple flats that slip onto her feet magically, but throughout the movie in distance shots, her shoes have straps around the ankles.

For the first one when I saw an animation process video I noticed that I was going bonkers cause my brain did a fish flop and I was so confused so I’m glad that was a mistake
When the song we don’t talk about Bruno when they put all the cups and the plates on the table Mirabel is on the right side
For the shapeshifter they just wanted to fit all character
The first mistake I already knew about and in the end people also knew
The reason Delores got swapped for the fish lady is because they were showing the characters that were singing at that moment...
#1 is not a mistake: the people are in the mind of Mirabel, plus... the people appear or disappear based on the lines that every character sings in the "madrigal-like" chorus

THIS IS NOT A MISTAKE: When they sing ``We don't talk about Bruno`` we see Dorores singing and in the house,on the second floor you see Bruno!
I thought of an idea. I know this is weird but I’ll say it anyway because I wouldn’t be able to do it with time travel. If I had reality-warping powers, I would erase the Croods characters except Ugga, the Disney dinosaur movie but I would use the deadly meteor shower scene it for my movie, and erase the movie Encanto from existence but I would use the three sisters from Encanto and make them cave girls and make a new movie called Disney Pixar cave people. I would combine the animations of the Disney dinosaur, the Croods, and Encanto. It would have the locations from Disney Dinosaur and the Croods in it and it would be 3 hours and 50 minutes long and make it a musical. It would even have action and adventure in it too. It would have the dinosaurs from Disney dinosaur (only bigger) and more dinosaurs that we didn’t see in Disney dinosaur that can talk in it and the creatures from the croods. Also In this movie, cave people can talk to the plant-eating dinosaurs and they jump high, swing on vines, and climb trees like the lemurs in Disney dinosaur. The meat eater dinosaurs wouldn’t talk in this movie like they did in the Disney dinosaur movie. There would be more locations in this movie than there was in the Disney dinosaur or the croods movie. The character Aladar would still exist but he wouldn’t be the main character in the movie. The main characters are cave people who live in a cave on an island that looks similar to Lemur island from Disney dinosaur only bigger. There is a mother and a father who have three daughters who look exactly like the daughters from Encanto except for the cavewoman who looks like Mirabel doesn’t have glasses and she has a daughter of her own named Suri who is 4 years old and who looks like a female version of Disney's Tarzan when he was a child and she loves to swing on vines and slide on trees. The cavewoman who looks like Mirabel would also have two younger sisters who strongly resemble Luisa and Isabela. The cavewoman who strongly resembles Luisa is the youngest of the three and is very strong and tall but not as tall and strong as her father and she has a close relationship with her niece Suri and always tries to be there for her niece. The cave sisters would have a grandmother who strongly resembles the grandmother from Encanto and three aunts and uncles. Ugga from the Croods would be the mother of those three cave girls. The movie would be about a family cave people who are trying to find a new home after their island home is destroyed by a deadly meteor shower. They will have to travel far and face many dangers that lie ahead of them. For example, Carnotaurs, T-rexes teratacly, pterodactyls water meat-eater dinosaurs, raptors, and spinosaurus. Even Earthquakes. There would be a scene where the cavewoman who looks exactly Luisa sings a prehistoric version of the song the lion sleeps tonight with her niece Suri while riding on Aladar just to be funny. It would be called the T-Rex sleeps tonight. I would use my reality warping powers to have this movie released in 2023. Do not reply to this comment with swear words I mean it I hate swear words and don’t reply to this comment with a rude reply either if anyone doesn’t like this comment then don’t reply at all.

Im not sure if this is a mistake or im missing something, but the man that gifts Maribel with the 'not special special' basket, says that the last gift ceremony was a bummer, referring to Maribel's ceremony. But shouldnt the last ceremony be Camilo's since he is younger than Maribel?
