I like the fact that this adventure starts with a mirror: one in which she's seen herself over and over and never paid attention. And it ends in a mirror she's never seen before, out of place, in a place she's never been, and she sees herself for the first time.

This film is not to take literally. The plot doesn’t make sense because it’s a poem. The only message is that everyone is its own treasure and that self realization is our end goal. The rest doesnt matter

"Sanele Makhanya" I was wondering if the movie had a shocking twist or ending to it like someone buried in the dirt she was digging in reaching out and pulling her in ( like what happened at the end of the movie "Carrie") or maybe someone in the cave telling her that she can never get out.
I am glad it was not that kind of movie but it is very abstract and though you can get a basic idea that it is about a young woman who finds out about her "inner worth" it is a common concept and the movie is anti-climatic and says what philosophers or motivational speakers ( etc) have already said many times. It is a cliché.

The Treasure is you. Love yourself. Quality of life is important, no matter how much money or career you have, make sure you make time for yourself.

To hunt the real treasure LIFE is to have "coffee" with liesure, knowledge in good books, take time "out", re"cycle" your knowledge and connect with the nature, do some work to dig your soul and then you will reach the stream of love flowing in the wild...the real smile and happiness. Did I get "The clue" right ?????

This mysterious adventure changed of whom she is. as well in her perspective to the surroundings and how she deals with it. By the end of the movie she become able to touch soil n dig earth with bare hands. Conversely to the beginning where she uses a tissue for everything she touches. Uncovering what's to become . The curiosity humans possess as an instinct. and that for we are reminded of in the very end where the treasure is a mirror.
I admire the plot. Yet there are plenty of scenes that feels neutral.
If only... Many folks could use this little treasure hunt to be reminded just how important and precious we are.
Sometimes you just have to just do it. No matter how scared you are. What's the most that can happen? You'll fall?
And? So what? I'm learning that as I get older. Just f'ing do it! 😊

Got a fortune cookie once that said your fucked try another cookie , i did & that one said sorry you're still fucked !!! It turned out those were not the case as years later i met my now wife of 37 years. I have no further needs for fortune cookies !!!! Just kidding about the cookies but not the rest. No need to read what's in my heart as far as cherish is concerned . Interesting about time lines & i met my dream of a woman from a friend i played music withs wife & to this day neither of them will really tell me if she set us up but i think that was the case . It was a good forute after all .
I liked how she was wearing a warm, sunny coloured jumper at the end, watering a plant and letting the fresh air and sunshine back into her life.We should all take stock and do this sometimes.

I love how she lost her OCD during adventure. At beggining she even clean her boots with special wet towels and then touched every book and lie on the floor at library. As person with not strong type OCD I admit it's possible. When you are excited and your life is not so boring and you enjoyed moment you can tame your OCD pretty well.
She also only wore grey clothes and in the end was wearing yellow 😊

The water cascading down a waterfall and flowing in the stream, true element of life, living, and abundance.
Entering the cave, going within. The journey within oneself. The light streaming into the cave giving view to reflection of self.
All the human beings that are on a adventure to find oneself in natural surroundings.......Most of all, to be joyful of what one finds in self.
Although no one leaves a message on a mirror in your home to start off with, the film serves as an invitation to all, to go on an adventure of finding yourself. It is the true reason we are here.

I think people do truly care about eachother. We all inherently want connection, and truly care about our loved ones. I find myself crying over strangers, and I don't think I'm alone in that regard haha.
Our house burned to the ground and we lost everything this past summer, including pets. People I had never met sent money and not small amounts. Our neighbors, some I knew and some I didn't brought a meal to our campers 3 x's a week (they were delicious). It was hard to take all these wonderful gifts as my heart had been hardened by personal tragedy (before fire) and I didn't trust. I handled it by secretly giving to other people and I am going to keep that up after we get our new home. I pray that where ever you are, you stumble into people that care. If they don't, you be that person. God Bless You!

As a woman, I was hesitant throughout the film - imagining a stalker leading a lonely woman deep into a restricted part of the woods. Great ending! But in real life it could be very different.
Yes, poor start, I agree, could have been more creative on that first message... yet the ultimate message is ageless and True; nothing we can get or learn or find out side of us can match what we can re-connect to within. For me it is a lesson in accepting how very imperfect we all are on this journey of return, but that even as we are still getting clear we can begin to share the true we are starting to come back to.. imperfectly of course.

Reminds me of Mondays with my 3 children . Rain or sunshine! We hiked a 3 mile loop with our 2 happy dogs. The forest comes alive in the winter! One of my daughters was incredibly tactile but also dyslexic. She was mesmerized by Moss when it was wet. Eventually my youngest looked up during the pandemic that Moss was very good for our oxygen and began collecting moss and growing it in pots throughout our entire home. My oldest if we let her and mostly we did go barefoot she would. At the bottom of the hike there was a little Beach and the dogs could swim and the girls could put their feet in the water. It was just an absolutely lovely lovely time in their childhoods. And this went on for 6 years even in utero when I'd be pregnant since they're all 18 months apart basically. We did this hike every Monday with our dogs

I’m reading the comments and it’s about how each person preserves it. So i had a dream about treasure and God has been speaking to me all day about it. I was going to get 75% of the treasure and I had the bag in my hand. I was told I could get 100%. So I gave up the bag of 75% and went for it all. This movie made me cry when she showed treasure on the sign. But right before that point I’m crying already because I had a dream that I was under the waterfall and right after that all my blessings from God showed up. I’ve lost everything. My house, my job, every material possession, church family, immediate family, relationship with kids and I’m not giving up. It’s been horrible but I’m coming back. Narcissist/jezebel devils are coming down. I’m not giving up and I believe every promise I was given. This will be all for Gods glory. He’s about to make known who his chosen are. It will be obvious.
So glad you found God. I am working on it. I read spiritual messages daily. I've had so much anger inside of me lately and have been reading to give it to God. It's not easy to do this because I've always depended on myself solely to deal with my emotions. But, God, here I come.

Wow did anyone notice how she saw the danger sign, smiled, and went there anyway? A visual interpretation of "feel the fear and do it anyway". Follow your heart

@@mockingbird3099 Symbolically that's a great idea. Realistically, she could have lost her life ignoring the danger warning sign put there for a safety reason.
Feel the fear etc is intended to help people overcome their fear of doing something beneficial for them, like public speaking etc, not ignoring red flags and danger signs, like someone breaking into her apartment, and watching her, huge danger sign. Feel the fear and go to the police.
Sure, and that she went on when just a few hours before she opened the door with a napkin, meaning she was afraid of germs and all
I really enjoined this piece of art, don't misunderstand me, but this fantasy only could be happened in a perfect world, because in my Earth planet, since the very first time somebody trespassing to write something in your mirror I would be shitting on my pants, not mentioning to follow a map to take you to a forest in the middle of nowhere

A lonely woman stuck in her routine,
Monotony has clouded her, no relationship,
Expecting that things will get better,
Each time she get a clue, be it at home in the coffee shop and in the forest, her eyes sparkle with hopes as if a dream coming true,
Many of us are living like this,
We want to know the unknowns treasures of our life, we have this burning desires to fulfill the desires or live in pursuits of them,
Here a very cautious lady using sanitizers or tissues everytime, in the pursuit of her dreams forget and ignored this very basis of her routine. That's why in the library is desperate, no hygiene rule, because the pursuit has become the focal point.
Until she discovers herself in the mirror, like when you just murdered someone and see yourself to discover your true image or your new
Yourself.

Guess 9:50 seconds in I thought could it be a serial killer, after seeing the guy with the wing tip shoes and new jeans. He did not meet the Nora...then more people with the same waterfall FOTO.

How many people can look inside to find their real selves? It does take emotions that not everyone has. A narcissist cannot reflect within themselves as they are all about them. This takes a special loving, self aware, empathetic person to be able to do this honestly and purely.

Genius, just ... genius!
I noticed it was 3 years old, but it is so apt for today. Releasing people from the Covid prison that still haunts some people.
We all need some positive trigger to experience the present and the miracles of nature that is awaiting to be explored and admired.
I am not for going where it says danger but certainly for the water falls and reflection in mirror helps her see her inner beauty that she may have not taken time to admire.

Symbolism of an unknown place: it represented how one might find oneself, the delight of within, by doing things they have never done before and going places they have never been to.

We must all once in our life wwrite "lets go in adventure" on our miror to fing ourself. I found myself in the eyes of the animals i rescued not really in my eyes but this adventure i chose of rescuing pets was worth it...and i found a very kind and likable person. Me.

My wife of nearly 54 years leaves notes like that for me throughout the house. They usually start with "If you know what's good for you..." and I have to guess at my latest sin. These days I sleep with one eye open. There's no way I would go into that cave!
