So I have a question: how to connect with the right audience?! I am a jewelry designer, I have over 10k followers, that’s great, right? But then when I check my metrics, I see that just 50% of my followers are in the countries where I offer my products. And then the other problem I have is that also a big percentage of my following as well as the people that interacts with my content are other jewelry designers 😳 please make a video about this!!
That sounds fairly normal for most niches! We can't control who follows our great content 😀

I’m definitely in the visibility season on ig (but have a bigger following/business on other platforms) and I’m just struggling to gain followers.
I’m posting like 5-6 reels a week and only gaining like 2-3 followers per week. I feel like I’m doing the right things but the results just don’t seem to be coming in how I’d like. Is slow growth normal these days?
Reels have been super glitchy for many lately, and as a result I've heard of others posting frequently, but not getting the same engagement that they normally do. Depending on what you sell keep in mind that there is a LOT of competition during the holidays as well which might explain the slow growth.

I was stuck at just my mom and other family members as my followers for a long time. My growth was slow, and I still have weeks where I gain less than 50 followers. But I'm working towards 20k by the end of this year. Hang in there! It just takes patience and consistency.

Good question! I teach students more about this inside my programs, but the main idea is to post content that prompts engagement like questions or polls.🙂
I want to use the like, comment or follow in my caption but I feel like that is “ thirsty” I’m I wrong and is there such a thing as too soon to go live if you are just trying to build organic followers and interaction? 🙏💖thank you Elise
Hi Mariah! You're not alone. Many have a fear of being salesy, but more than likely if you're saying things like "follow me for more if you liked this post" or "share this post with someone who needs it" it's going to interest your community and get you genuine followers!

Asking people to comment is helpful not only for engagement, but it gives you a good idea of what your audience likes and then you can tailor content around the positive feedback you get from your posts. It might seem sales-y, but just saying "let me know if you've experienced this, too!" doesn't come off as pushy. You'll find your flow. 👍
