You are teaching this 71 one year old lady how to play the banjo, and I am so grateful! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with such patience and good humor!
I really like the way you teach. I understand it better with you than anyone I've tried to learn with. Most of the other instructors on clawhammer go to fast , you take the time to explain and show what you are doing . That's how I learn so that I can really understand whatever it is that I am learning.. My sainted mother taught me that way. She was a saint dealing with me. God bless you too. says Judy Corrette
These and your 3 easy clawhammer exercises are getting me through the "master the basics" stages without getting bored and wanting to move on before I'm ready. :) Thank you so much!
I just started following you Mandy, and I must say you are a pure joy! Not only are your lessons fantastic and so much help, but the enthusiasm and joy you show always brings a big smile to my face! Thanks so much for sharing it all with us!
In going from the G to the C, isn't it easier to go from the third string second fret to strike the open second string , instead of sliding up to the third string fourth fret?
Hey Jeremy, sure you can do it however you like, but I do like the sound of the slide so that’s why I use it. It’s not always about the easiest note to get.
