It was a foreshadowing of things to come with nun in the opening sequence, but she’s great! 😊 I couldn’t help but wonder what the building looked like in its early history. Repairs and renovations are a necessary part of upkeep, but extensive work changes the character of a site. I liked the portico as the priests were leading the procession, as well as what I’m assuming is the refectory/stables. My favorite part, though, I have to admit, was from 7:20 on to the end, as the nun is climbing the narrow stairs. The artwork was intriguing, and it left me wondering what secrets of the order may have been there. 🙏👍🏻
I love a good Mother Superior with character. She takes her role very seriously, and will defend San Sisto Vecchio with her life. Too bad such a personality is a novelty in today’s wishy-washy world. God bless her! Wonderful about the miracle when there was no food in the refectory!
In the USA, Catholic Education is suffering because Religious left the schools. Like the convents, schools are emptying and closing. The loss of Religious is a great pain for the Church, and the world is suffering from this loss.
Yet we are called to cooperate with grace unto the greater glorification of God. Moments in which I do not succumb to temptations, certainly give greater glory to God than my sin, which fails on all accounts to render glory to God which is due to Him.
Your sermon at the end really got me thinking thank you
BEAUTIFUL!! LOVE IT!! VERY MOVING! THANK YOU!
I was there last year. An unforgettable experience with that supercharged nun.
When I was there, ca. 2009, a nun gave my group a tour. It was when my Italian was at its best. I did my best to translate. Beautiful church.

Re: purpose - glorification of God - all fall short, why Jesus saves sinners - peace
