  • @lewisstretch

Its always smart to have two or three used cars that are paid for. When one goes bad, you put it in the shop and hop in your other car. At least you never have to pay for expensive rentals or high car payments, and you never have to watch out for the repo man. Never go taking out car loans trying to build credit. Thats a horrible way to build credit. Never trade a car. You're giving it away for free. I worked at a dealership in college. Keep your old car and get another used car from the auction.

    Dontay,
Unless you get a new car, DON'T finance. Instead, either fix your car and keep rolling or pay cash for a reliable used car from a private owner. While leveraging one of these decisions, save your money and work to improve your credit.
You don’t want a financed used car with a payment. Plus, incidental hits with maintenance and repairs.

The idea of having a newer vehicle is always exciting. The reality of it is having to finance it while paying for maintenance. As a suggestion, I would fix my vehicle and keep putting miles on it and save towards a newer vehicle. I personally would not add 4 or 500 dollars a month to the budget if you don’t have to. Celebrate your growth most definitely but take your time spending. Congratulations on whatever you decide 🤗✨

I think just getting the Escape fixed is the most economical option. You have not had that big youtube money for over a year. If you bring in 10-20K for more than a year then think about getting a $50K car. I know someone who financed a 50K car her payment is $1K month and they cut her hours at work. Stuff happens. Whatever your payment is you got to have full insurance on it.

And think about long term if you're RUclips has a bad couple of months. Can you afford the payments, repairs, tires, upkeep. Insurance, taxes , registration yearly. All those come into play. When my 2013 Corolla died, computer chip, the chips come from China, they didn't know when they could get one. I drove a Kia Forte rental for a week and ended up buying one, because I had a bankruptcy in 2016 that stays on the record 10 years my financing was 9%, so they stretched it out for 8 years. It's a used lease car 25K miles. I pay a little over $300. Insurance a little over $200. It was a good deal. The car came from Atlanta so it's highway miles on it. A mechanic bought my Corolla for his daughter. I kept up with servicing. I loved my Corolla but it had to go. Leases in NY want 4K down with monthly payments between 100-200 24 months. You get 12K miles you can put on it.

I have done it both ways through out the years I don't put nothing down now and have learned that the monthly payment is still what it is. it is also based on your credit, which will also only give you something off but still not much it is really based on the rate of the finance company. I hope this helps I wishing you and your family the best happy car hunting.

If you feel uncomfortable about it, I would fix your current car and wait. Regretting a car payment is the worst, interest sucks, but if you pay on time it will build your credit. Good luck.

@@itsnoahonfire bro don't even have a real job and he's trying to get a second car lmao so the best advice really is for him to continue using his car that he got for free from the government and save youtube money up in a investment account and let it compound for a couple years if he really cares about him and his family's future especially his son.

@ You are right his RUclips isn’t guaranteed income. He better fix the car he has. He is moving way too fast. Who buys a car with someone they just started dating 3 months ago? Bro need to slow down he fall too fast.

what youtube money can really do to people on top of leeching off of the government is crazy work. I digress

If there isn’t enough room then u guys will have to trade it in for a bigger 1 when the family extends & it’s common that happens sooner than we want. Most pregnancies r surprises, not planned. Gotta also include grocery & vacations.

You should always make a down-payment to knock of some of the interest and you will will have a lower month payment. You should never do zero down. Ask somebody and besides you can afford to do it.
