Hearts On Fire + Up The Mountain - Rocky IV. Instrumental cover

- This is my instrumental cover of Hearts on Fire from Rocky IV by John Cafferty and Vince DiCola. I've included a slightly remixed version of my cover of Vince Dicola's Up The Mountain at the end as it is played in the movie.
I made this track on the back of many requests for it after the success of my covers of Training Montage • Vince DiCola's TRAININ... , and War • Vince Dicola's WAR (fr... by Vince DiCola from the same movie. I hope you enjoy it.
Regarding the technical production of this cover song, I produced it in Cubase 11 Pro using a wide variety of VST instruments only.
Everything you hear has been worked out by ear and I don't have sheet music for it.
The rapid synth line in the middle section of this track is crazy, I attempted to play it in real time, but it needed lots of editing! So you don't see me play this part in the video... my fingers aren't as supple as they used to be!
Many thanks to all those who have asked for this track, and huge respect to John Cafferty and of course Vince DiCola who I think is one of the most under appreciated film score composers of all time.

To me, Heart's on Fire is the most uplifting and motivational piece of music in the entire history of music and this is by far the best instrumental version I've heard of it.

Thanks Ingo. Yes it was a tough nut to crack this one. That synth line in the middle is rediculous! No idea how they did that in the original without modern day editing facilities.

This is absolutely fantastic a total belter and this is completely original there is no such standard of cover of this track on RUclips. I been looking for years trust me.
Even the Directors cut doesn't have this at the end titles.
The fact the original complete movie version doesn't officially exist anywhere was an incentive to get this done.

Does anyone knows where I can get "Hearts on Fire" as a Midi File, just the Tracks including all the notes? Cant find it anywhere on the internet. And Julian, keep up the great work!
I get asked a lot for MIDI/project files for my covers, and this one seems to be by far the most popular request, so I don't think it must exist anywhere. I make everything by ear.

Since 1987 is this song my "companion" during gym,. 10 miles running and first and for most the song a had on my ears before the next tennis match starts. Well, back then I was 14. Now, 50 years old, I play along to lots of 80's songs on my MODX6, KORG Minilouge, M-Audio by uising FL Studio an a lot of VST's. All just for fun. If you would put a 100 Pounds price tag on this pure mide file, guess who's the first one opening his wallet

(by the way I have uploaded a karaoke edit version using the OSTs and few movie samples, if you wanna check it)
The 'Drago' scream at the end was a last minute decision, lol.
Re your Karaoke edit, I listened and it sounds practically identical to a version I created as a reference version to help me identify the notes.
I recorded the movie version and stripped out the vocals using Spectralayers in Cubase.
I assume you did something similar?
up the mountain transition isnt the same without those hardcore quick drums going into it
If I did it again, that's one of things I'd change. I don't think I've yet released anything I didn't want to do again, but as they say... Done is better than perfect.😀
