If you go down the mountain the other way, you'd get to a cafe and restaurant called 山上人家. Although I suspect that's where you were planning to go? It is quite a hike back to the parking lot if you went down that way.
Must be really muggy and humid. Mosquitoes r everywhere. And that's why I think hot and humid summer weather is something I cannot take when I was in Taiwan. Californias weather apparently is way better.

新竹山區爬山除了要注意安全，夏天還有很多有毒蛇類出沒，要注意安全，小弟很喜歡您的影片，除了可以看到美景之外，還可以知道哪裡有好吃的平民美食，看完影片真的讓人心情瑜悅。
鵝公髻山我們都是從山上人家的登山口開始爬，山上人家停車位多，而且那條路線比較簡單適合我們的程度，而且下山後剛好在山上人家吃飯

全台灣不管平地或山上都有水蛭，以前在新北的小溪邊玩或行走，都有可能被水蛭附上，現在溪流污染嚴重，反而平地很少見，只在山上容易遇到

喔~台灣郊山山徑上低矮草叢上都有螞蝗(在陸地上的吸血蟲，水蛭是生活在水裡)，大凡溼氣重的森林地帶都有，只要看到山徑四周樹頭上長有山蘇，就表示這附近地區濕氣很重，山徑旁草葉下面就可以發現螞蝗，螞蝗口器會分泌一種麻醉物質，叮咬時讓人不覺得疼痛，當它吸飽時，原本像橡皮筋粗細會脹到像人小拇指這麼大。如果發現正在被吸血時不要拍打它，要用撒鹽讓它自行脫落，否則一掌打下去(很多人的自然反應)，會爆漿被吸出的血液，螞蝗的口器還會留在皮膚上，造成日後發炎。雖然有些噁心，但是在台灣爬山，被吸點血的經驗一定要有。
下坡真的很傷膝蓋,通常我下山時都會穿上護膝
