I got my base copy directly from their Web store, however it's the first edition print and as far as I know there was only the one print run before the second edition with the different art etc. Checking the kickstarter I think the only difference was a Golden Garibaldi special card, although I haven't actually seen one anywhere

As far as I know, yes they are, and the changes are just cosmetic

Are there players in the first edition that aren't in the 2nd edition?
As fat as I know the only changes are cosmetic. However I don't have a copy of both editions base games to thoroughly compare players to check
