Two years ago,I swapped my old tired"PENTA"diesel,on my 8.50 M Sail-boat with a 2015 KAWA Motor/Jet set-up,cleaned up the greasy bay(Hard to cut-up a large hole,in a perfect sound boat..!!),added extractor fans, and top cooling, machined parts for a perfect fit,on polyurethane silent-blocks,tried it for a short costal trip from the north of France to Portugal and back..just an amazing reliable Engine,...Motoring at slow speed for Bonita/Mackerel fishing was perfect,so much extra torque with lighter pulleys, low consumption, and top power if needed when caught in high tide, with new electronics, radar,AP,solar panels, all LED lighting...I"ll be ready next year for"the big trip"to the(West-Indies) Islands....!!!!..
I love how people always say the Kawasaki is slow but then when I ride with other brands I am always stopping to wait for people to catch up to my basically stock kawi lol
He took a bone stock ski and competed in a race and did really well. Kawasaki makes an amazing ski! Can’t beat it with anything else on the market that’s bone stock.
Kawasaki haven't upgraded there engine displacement for years all they do is just squeeze the boost up more and more . These engines definitely would not last as long as the Yamaha
Piece of crap I love the ski when it works I keep my boats immaculate but first thing the flame arrestor breaks to pieces into the water box luckily and great person now passed helped me out and replaced the arrestor and water boxes and even replaced the tensioner for the SC belt Then now at 80 hours freshwater only the ski won’t go past 5000 rpm without cutting out replaced fuel pump spark plugs cleaned intercooler had the fuel bar cleaned out nothing so we are waiting on a new ECU hopefully that fixes my ski I love this ski it’s heavy and quick and handles like a rollercoaster please Kawasaki make it more reliable
Weighing in at a porky 1050 pounds compared to the RXT300 @805 lbs and GPR1800 at below 800lbs. That’s like carrying Rosie O’Donnell around all day. No thanks.
You are not comparing apples to apples. Kawasaki listed weight is loaded with fuel and oil. Sea doo and Yamaha list dry weights. They will still weigh less but the difference is much less. Fuel alone in 20 gallon tank is 120 lbs.

because flat water skis don't do very well on a typical weekend with tons of boat chop
Immediately thought Catalina and yeah !

Lawl yamaha skis suck ass 😂😂
More displacement doesn't really mean more durability.
1.8 vs 1.5? Kawasaki engines hold up just fine and no failed sc clutches
Lol just heard that comment the other day very next day his yamadog left him and his wife stranded at sea with bad weather coming in ...

Offshore or in waves, the weight actually helps you. Plus, with a reflash it goes just as fast.
I guess weight would help in this case. I bought a RXT 230 last year and really like but I’m on a small recreational lake.
Is she wearing a bikini?
