“Their time’s limited, hard rocks too.” A Hard Rock is a tough guy, thug, gangsta, etc. The line is basically saying that living that street life can cut your life short. That line was sampled as the hook on the underground classic TIME’S UP by O.C.
ricks delivery and flow on this track and the beat is a masterpiece god bless 😇
A truly innovative song.
My favorite rap song. And arguably the greatest rap song ever. Seriously. A powerful and monumental achievement as timely today as it was decades ago. That crazy beat and melody tricks you into thinking it's some standard hip hop song. But then when you actually listen to what he is saying... This song is a call to action and a cautionary tale that saved and inspired many in my generation. But not enough. More should've listened then and more should listen now.
You won't find a more power rap song about atonement and individual responsibility.
This is one of the ultimate classics!!
