Did it help... Hell yeah, it helped. I fixed my refrigerator and for 4 mins and 15 secs, I felt a sense of pride. Then my wife came around the corner and saw the smile on my face. She muttered something under her breath and disappeared into the bedroom and came back with the honey-do list and added 3 more things. Thanks for error code guy. We'll always have those 4 mins and 15 secs.
Great tutorial. I wasn’t able to find the service manual to test the main control board, but I was able to test the other components. Thank you for providing this video.
Thanks for the video! Excellent camera work. I think at the 6:50 mark, you had the thermistor and fuse reversed when you were naming them. But overall great explanations and tips!
Fantastic video, only two things I would say is at 7:14 that is the fuse in the ice water not the thermistor. I think you know that and this is just an accident. Two I would amp clamp the defrost heater wire at the beginning when you test the boards output for 115volts.
Where do you find which wires to check for different units? I got the manual (which is of no help) and diagram (nicely put on the back of unit) but still don't know which to probe.
I'll confirm it is the defrost HEATER (that long u shaped coil) that needs to be replaced - not the defrost sensor and certainly not the control board. After spending $500 on a bad diagnosis, and research into this on YT, I got a third tech to order me the defrost heater. It's been 5 days and the issue is solved, finally. He had to cut the support bracket to get the old one out, but it was a 20 minute fix once the part came in.
Recently, the ice machine is not working, when i check it, the fan motor of the ice maker is not working, when i try unplug the temperature sensor of freezer, it works normally again. when I plug the temperature sensor of freezer back, it not work (but the Evaporator fan still work). Can you tell me why?

This is the most comprehensive video on this issue to ensure proper diagnosis. Thank you!!
Really well thought-out and filmed guide. Watching this gave me the confidence I was missing when I was just following the service manual. Thank you!
Super..thank you. Can't explain this better

This is super helpful! However, did you mistakenly place the fuse assembly into the ice water instead of the thermistor?
Hi ...I have a kenmore elite , I wonder if that is the same part for my refrigerator, i think that is the same part I need. I dont have the manual

Just because it was the heater in your case doesn't mean that the defrost sensor or board can't cause the same issue.
Thanks for the vid, can I try and ignore this error, what’s the worst that could happen? 😅
It will cause damge
Yes but what is root cause of fuse blowing?
Super
