    thank you so much for sharing this. been finding how to use hobonichi cousin since i'm truly considering it for 2024. and though i love writing, the dailies seem so intimidating to me. i also don't know how to use the weeklies. but i love how you explore and try bunch of things in yours so i'll probably be doing the same as well. new subscriber here

    I just love this. Thank you so much. especially for telling us that the planner is our safe space. I noticed that it didn’t take long before I started « performing » even for my planner, for it to look nice. I started putting a lot of pressure on myself for something that was supposed to be for me. thank you for reminding us to protect our inner child. 😓 I really felt that. I am just curious, do you ever journal out in public, like in a café? I think that’s something I struggle with and am trying to figure out right now. I have a Weeks that I take out « publicly » to doodle in cafés and it doesn’t matter as much if people see what’s in it, and I leave my larger cousin at home, but I would love to have everything in one book. I’m curious whether people journal in public or not and whether it affects how they structure their books or even which books they choose.

    • @torionpaper
      @torionpaper  Год назад

      I felt the exact same in the beginning! I have journaled in my cousin in a coffee shop and other public places before and didn't mind it (also mind you I share mine with the entire internet so that might be different LOL). I try to just remind myself that no one really cares what i'm doing and more than likely I am never going to see these people again and even if they did see me or my book they will probably forget about it the second they walk out. I also like to write smaller to give myself a greater sense of privacy but again I think it is just letting go of that feeling of perfectionism and not caring what you or those around you think about your book. I hope this helps! Thank you again for sharing

    Do you think a common planner might suit you more (if you haven’t already tried). It’s almost identical to the hobonichi where it counts, but the “daily” pages are undated. As you often write multiple days on one page, like I do myself haha, maybe the CP would be a good match?

    • @torionpaper
      @torionpaper  11 месяцев назад +1

      I've gone back and forth on a CP and have been sooo tempted to try one but for some reason I don't like the font in the CP which is such a niche thing to be picky about lol. It's definitely been in the back of my mind though, maybe one day! Thanks so much for the suggestion
