This is very insightful and exactly the kind of content anyone who wishes to go into hospital pharmacy will want to know. The exact queries you get. Thank you.
listened to all of it without any breaks!--- wow you speak so well! May you do vids in relation to the struggles, failures and successes you went through to get to this stage you're at now...thanks a million
This was so insightful! I have yet to do my first on-call and am straight terrified for the day I do start. My colleagues seem to have a lot of issues with the fridges all the time and sound really hard. I’m from NZ so our systems are probably much more similar than American systems so it’s cool to see similarities. Can’t wait for your next vid!
I think no pharmacists in the country have to do on-call on site like we do 😂 3 weeks of late, weekends, nights when we are on-call, making IVs, being a part of resus team never stop making my mind 🤯
Hi Regina hope your well, keep up the good work, just wanted to ask how do you get allocated the on call shifts is monthly or on a rota? And detail some finance associated with on call that would give us more insight thanks 😊
Hey you know now a days there is apprenticeship do you know anything about it related to pharmacy and can you make a video on that please ..I got lots of information from your channel about pharmacy thank you soo much...
Hi! I'm going to UCL pharmacy school this year and I keep constantly hearing that getting an internship as hospital pharmacist is really hard! is that true? or is it not so different to getting one as community pharmacist? p.s I've been watching your videos since last year and been so helpful!
It's more competitive than community pharmacy but not impossible!! If you keep trying then it will be possible! I can promise you that if you put the effort in, you will see the reward :D Thank you for watching since last year!
What happens when the needed antibiotic were not supplied anywhere in other wards/departments? Where can they get the supply from if it's not stocked and needed urgently?
On call is when the pharmacists aren't working - so it's on a rota basis after normal working hours. Therefore, there's no such thing as a "full time" on call, know what I mean?

Thanks for this video! I just want to ask where you can learn more about medicines and indications.
In general? Anywhere and everyone! Eg, BNF, SPC, NICE Bites, Clinical key etc!
Thank you so much for this video , very insightful ! Just wanted to ask, do you work the day after your on-call shift?
Thank you and yes!

Then you have to go in....as the on call pharmacist you can be called in at any time.
@@KOREginAPharmacist but would it be stocked in the pharmacy? And if it's not? What should you do?
Can you actually make a full time job as an on call pharmacist or would you need to do something else alongside? Thx

KOREginA London Pharmacist oh right that makes sense. It sound really stressful, do you get paid for it?
Ferrinject > Cosmofer
Hey Regina, how to prepare for your on call roles in general?
Hi, I prepare by begging my colleagues to help me haha
Hey is on call the same as EDC emergency duty commitment ?
Great informative video
In this case I mean Emergency Drug Cupboard!
Are these hours counted as part of your working hours?
No sadly, they’re extra hours!
@@KOREginAPharmacist so you're paid extra right?
