The Vox Vibravox is a very natural sounding vibrato/tremolo pedal. Using a 12AU7 tube in the circuit, the Vibravox provides very warm, thick tremolo and vibrato. It is based on the original Vox tremolo circuit from the classic AC-30 amplifier. Vox has taken this classic sound and put it into a rugged pedal with added features. There is two separate speed controls and an effects assign switch for each setting. This means the Vibravox can give you two tremolos or vibratos at different speeds or allow you to switch between tremolo and vibrato on the fly. The Vibravox also automatically ramps between speeds to give that authentic rotating speaker tone.
The Vibravox incorporates a 12AU7 tube at low voltage to give a warm, natural sounding effect. The Tremolo is thick and sweet with a wonderfully warbly nature. The Vibrato is warm and throbbing while staying on the subtle side. The true bypass switch is crisp and quiet, no pop here. The Vibravox also features a 1-2 switch that allows switching between two effects on the fly. The effects assign switch allows you to assign the effect on each: T1/T2, T1/V2, V1/V2. This means you can switch between two speeds of tremolo, tremolo and vibrato, or two speeds of vibrato, COOL! The ramp between speeds sounds perfectly natural, just like an old Leslie.
