This run feels a lot more similar to how difficult the og Thronefall was! I am thoroughly impressed with how well you did. Especially how you improved after retrying the day. Some notes: - This is one of the harder maps IMO. The distance from spawn -> castle center is quite short not giving you a lot of time. - Glass Cannon is more of a mutator than it is a perk. Especially combining it it with Warhorse Perk did not set you up for success. I know it was for a quest, just saying it's a particularly nasty quest, so you might want to solo that one. - Not dying is very important (as you figured out). Your character has insane damage output, but more importantly, you can distract and manipulate enemies. Mastering this technique is key for dealing with harder levels. The nights were you hung back and distracted enemies from destroying your towers you did much better. This is very difficult to do with Glass Cannon though, so don't feel too bad. - My only suggestion is to choose sniper towers less often. You are almost always losing to hordes of smaller enemies and not big single targets (even on other maps). Sniper towers fire _very slowly_ and don't have a ton of health. My personal decision tree for tower upgrades: * Frontline + Well protected (either by walls or terrain) => Bunker Tower * Frontline + Not well protected => Armored Tower * Backline/Will never get touched + Having issues with big single targets => Sniper Tower * Anything else => Castle Tower I probably over-pick Bunker Towers, but their DPS and ability to clear hordes is _insane_ if you can protect them. More strategic options for dealing with difficult scenarios like this map will open up as you get deeper into the Perks, so don't fret!
Remember, getting those Shrines going early can really save you, cause the enemies can't target them you have a constant and invulnerable defense turret.
why not tall on the top level and expand outwards later. use the house perk to boost eco, build archers to max top shrine, towers and research, wall then expand down
@@LucklessLovelocks the archery towers on the top level on the wall overlooking the enemy spawns are powerful so invest in them, you should have 0 coins beginning a wave, SPEND SPEND SPEND
Try to be a bit more greedy in the early levels. You can get a lot done with your hero and town center alone for defense with some kiting. The earlier you get economy going, the more gold you have for defenses and even more econ later
Front towers: armored Middle towers: damage output Backline towers: snipers / range. You are supposed to take down siege units while the siege unit tries to move to a farm or another useless thing. Castle guard: some air defense damage output Centre Gate: fire arrows might do very well, the enemies clog up here get the kills while they are moving not while they are fighting on this map. The lower terrain is best to stall the enemies. Good choice on the exploding fields.
One other quick thing. Bunker Towers can deal MASSIVE damage against both groups and individual targets once they get up to speed (making them excellent at chewing through hordes of smaller/weaker/faster enemies). Placing them behind walls or Armor Towers gives them enough time to build up speed/damage.
Don't take this the wrong way, but you're REALLY underestimating the value of Shrines. They have better damage output than towers AND monetary income than houses (on top of being essentially immortal), and the more you activate, the better they all are. Prioritizing getting as many of them active as soon as possible can give you a major advantage, though it's usually best to only build them on routes that are guaranteed to have enemies that night. Building the ones closest to your castle and working your way out is generally a good tactic to ensure they all get activated. Just keep in mind how 'many' enemies you're letting get in proximity of your castle.
This was tough....thankfully i remember you saying that you don't like easy games :) I love watching you figuring out the little things.... Glass canon I never chose...not fun to die every second. Also mills generate tons of money. If i may suggest, especially on this map the left most mill is the first thing to build and upgrade.
I haven't had a chance to watch all your videos of Thronefall yet due to unforeseen circumstances, but I'll watch everything over the next few days and give tips I've picked up where I can.. commenting as I start this video because all praise the algorithm 😅
Loveless all your towers at the top. Need to be fire towers because the enemy is teleporting up. They're jumping up to those towers. And immediately attacking them.
Glass Cannon is a trap. It's easiest the worst buff one can take. Build the mills asap 4 econ. With double pay. Those shrines r rly good when u get them activated.. But they don't attack flying troops.. For assasin.. 4 like spear it is good.. U just hit the button constantly. For book don't think so..
Me watching this: I wonder how he'll deal with the bonus stages 30 minutes in: he's underestimating the shrines, barricades and mole men advice: "heading directly to your town centre" = build walls ALWAYS (or have lots of flails in the bonus stages), your strategy of running into them to do damage doesn't seem worth it with the curse weapon
Don't focus on what the description says they target. That's more priority than anything else not that they won't attack other building types. Also, range resistance is good research for this level
1 hour in: catapults will flatten everything... armoured towers are your friend in danger zones, snipers in the safe zone. use both for siege weapon and the big guys. Building shrines early before building walls make more sense to me
1hr 30 in... ahaha you finally felt the danger of the moles but if you upgraded the town center you'd unlock important other buildings, it'd have more health and better/faster ATK/DEF 1hr 37 wave 10.... your farm would have survived and so would your wall if you'd've built that shrine wave 11 - sniper towers on the left side would be your friend. also help with mole men. also also sniper towers means you get to attack the flying units before they arrive over the city

"How am I supposed to defend against that?" Lol the ultimate Thronefall experience 😂
Any suggestions for improving my play? This was TOOOUGH!

How do you not have all the perks unlocked? You play halfway through the map you basically already unlock all of them.

42:40 if your ally die this will respawn they
I don't understand. Are you saying allies will respawn there if they die and that will stop if the barracks is destroyed?

9 minutes in - you can curse from afar. Why are you running up to them to die?
well.... I've never used the weapon before and I also do damage when I trample over them. I'm figuring things out. Is it not obvious?
