We adopted a german/dutch shepherd from a shelter. She is so smart, loving and caring. She's are first shepherd breed....and I'm hooked on shepherds now.
@@elsquirt8660 honestly you have good days and bad its like a child as long as you give them attention and not neglect them you'll be good and it helps that these dogs pick up stuff very fast she listens better than my 3 kids.
you definitely just earned my sub. on about the dutch Shepard. Since I'm still researching which dogs are good for me, but dutch Shepard is definitely on top of my list so far. But my question is how long do you usually leave your dog at home when you're working and what is the max time you suggest that a dutch Shepard can handle themselves while you're out working or working out at a gym or stuff like that without starting chaos within the home? also, great videos content about the dutch/ malinois breed dogs.
Thank you! I appreciate it. They pretty much sleep all day when I'm at work. I try not to be gone longer than 8 hours. I leave bones and toys for them to chew on. The important thing is to exercise/play with and teach them when you are home.
@@predictionpain2632 which one of the breed do you recommend more between Akita Inu or Dutch Shepard since American Inu is too big. And If you do work out but usually not for a the whole day and also in terms of handling the dogs once you are home?
@@therealchunkalunka381 I think a Dutchie would be better, Akitas are known for being highly territorial/aggressive with other dogs and people. They take a long time to train, dutchies are fairly easier
@@therealchunkalunka381 Originally I wanted my dogs to grow as large as possible, but honestly 75 lbs is more than big enough for me. I would take the dutch based on size alone. Akita's also shed a lot. If I were in the market for a different breed I would also look at Doberman's or Rhodesian ridgeback. The key for me is making the most of the time I when I'm with hem. Some days I have to work late, there isn't much I can do about that.
I adopted my dutchie Tiffin (ig:@tallape) about 4 months ago, and have already had 3-4 times where I watched her do something that I swear could only result in injury....and then she pops up and no big deal.Header off a 10 foot high rock? Sure, why not. Still working on getting the recall that you have with Jax and Cinder, though, ended up getting a tracking collar for her because the deer up here in New England are way too attractive.
how much do your pups weigh? my pup is an 18 month old GSD Mal cross he is a super lean 80lb but is near desk height at the withers. keeping weight on him is difficult because he is always on

Does Cinder still play with the bowling ball? Did you get her a heavier one?
It cracked in the sun, I may replace it with a heavier one though.
