For a long life: Don't overfeed, regular exercise, obedience, don't leave it with dangerous items and purpose in life. Good advice, and it equally applies to humans as well!

Pay attention to toxic plants in the back yard, get rid of them.

This is hilarious because two weeks ago I saw a lean muscled Rottweiler for the first time and I told the owner what a great looking dog he was. That said, I still think that no dog is more handsome than a very dark black Sable, well-muscled working line German Shepherd.

    Need more listicle videos.
    1. This has been a constant battle because Chip is extremely food-motivated and we are extremely treat-giving (milk bones usually) because he's such a good boy. Generally, he eats 1.5-2 cups of kibble a day and if we give him too many treats, we light-load his dinner. According to the vet, he's 6/9 or something like that.
    2. In May, I decided to lose weight. 80 pounds later and I can walk that pittie into the fuckin' ground! He has been very happy about the walks. Now he's learning he doesn't have to come with me on the entire 20 miles.
    3. We've been working on this for the entirety of the 2 years we've owned him. He's up to about 80% recall. Easily distracted.
    4. My roommate learned this the hard way. First night we brought Chip home, he jumped up and ate the entirety of my roommate's nacho fixin's. Roommate had to learn to move his stuff back off the edge of the counter. As smart as he is, my roommate does silly shit like that.
    5. My dog's purpose is to make me hurt less. I have fibro and he's a full-blooded pittie. His purpose is... well, to be the needy little son of a bitch he is, lol. Also, he does deep pressure therapy and makes me interact with people on the walks. Sociable little fucker.
    6. Chip doesn't like sticks. When he was a month in, he deep-throated a thrown stick by accident. No lasting physical damage but he shies away from them now.

I’m so careful with my dogs diet, he has a sensitive stomach, plus his breed is more prone to diabetic problems. On the exercise front he gets plenty as he’s a very active energetic dog. Plus I love being out and about with him so much.

Yes, The 25% Malinois,75% Dutch shepherd crosses are used to help lighten up the darker brindle colors sometimes, in the Dutch Shepherd but can lead to slightly more hyper Dutch. The use of recessive, Yellow dog Dutch seems to be what more breeders are opting for when given the choice these days. All of them, regardless, seem to end up as breeding goes on to be more Dutch Shepherd in temperament and hyperactivity than Malinois, atleast here in the U.S.

Usually no more than 8 hours, I usually go home for lunch during the day to let them out, occasionally I leave them alone overnight, no issues.

So many idiots with mastiffs and bull breeds are so hung up on having the heaviest dog like it’s some kind of status. See far to many flabby large breeds.
