I can see why you love it so much. If I got in there I would never leave. It such a special place with such a wonderful atmosphere. It is so sad we can't get into the middle of some parts and really read some of the more obscure headstones, even to have a picnic with these grand historic people. This is really a favorite of mine too. Such a fantastic video, especially the baby angels! Touché Suzanne! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great to see this again Sue, certainly the row of mausoleums have been cleaned up since I went back here in 1992/93. When they were green and black with the trees above.
Forests may be gorgeous but there's nothing more alive than a tree that learns how grow in a cemetery. THANK for the amazing video I do appreciate it. 🌻😊
I really like your style of video. Not pushing yourself forward with a lengthy intro giving your whole family history, rather getting straight to the point. Also no cheesy music, just the ambient sounds of the moment.
Yes that graveyard was amazing. And all those mausoleums in a row on both sides of the walkway. Sad it closes at 5.p.m. so not much time to look. Loved that little girl statue was so sweet. Alot of lovely statues so thanks for inviting us.
You could spend a week in here, it is massive! So glad people are tending to it💕. The carvings should be preserved as you don’t see those today! I felt like I was walking with you, thanks so much Sue!
Like Sue says it's vast all around. It would take forever and a day to cover it all. Always prepare your footwear as a precaution. But most of all take it all in because it is an eye opener.
This is on our to-do list hopefully this year. We have a couple of holidays to get out of the way first but this is definately on our list. Great video as always Sue (and I'm still watching as I type)😁
That is a beautiful old cemetery. Don't worry about getting out of breath, I get out of breath watching you walk up and down the pathways, LOL God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Highgate is phenomenal. So many beautiful monuments and with the overgrowth, it's enchanting. Thank you for the great tour. I'm jealous of that homeowner 😏.
I just wanted to say, I have enjoyed your videos of cemetery walks. Ireland is beautiful and I hope to visit one day. Keep in walking and sharing with us. Looking forward to your next video.

Thanks for bringing us along, I’ll probably never make it to Ireland but that’s ok because you and GV bring Ireland to me 🇮🇪 Much appreciated 👍👍 Btw there’s a lot of beautiful stones there for your book, just saying 😁👍 Thanks again 🙏
Hi sue hope you are well it's really a beautiful cemetery just so much to see it just goes on and on it's just so unreal lovely video take care and thanks for sharing 👍
What a beautiful cemetery it's so big but it's awesome to watch you going round the grave yard thank you so much I would never see the cemetery or the history thank you Sue
The craftsmanship of the old monuments is amazing and a lovely walk under the canopy of green I would love to visit there but I don't think I would live there great video
Mother Nature is reclaiming the grounds for sure. Would take an army of landscapers to beautify that cemetery. All the overgrowth gives the grounds an otherworldly feeling.
Thank you Sue for giving a wonderful tour of Highgate Cemetery in London. I enjoy those monuments very much and I'm with you, I love those monuments and they are just gorgeous. Interesting I Saw The Headstone with Joseph Hudson and we had a Joseph Hudson who founded the Hudson department stores in Michigan where I am from. In fact as he was called JL Hudson, when he came back to England to visit where he was born, he died there and they sent his body back to Detroit where he is buried in a mausoleum in Woodward Avenue Cemetery called Woodlawn. Again thank you so much for giving us a wonderful to work oh, and I have allergies myself so I understand what you're going through. Have a great weekend have a safe trip home
This particular video of yours, is now one of my favorites! This cemetery is totally awesome! Many old monuments and headstones 🪦 but some newer ones as well. I love the mausoleums also, they are totally awesome in themselves alone. This is one cemetery I would love to visit on Halloween. I am so glad there is an organized effort to care for the cemetery. Thank you very much Sue and GV, this was wonderful.
Wow Highgate seems to be alike a beautiful overgrown park. Beginning to Love it! Even though my great great grandma is buried somewhere in there probably with a marker - bless her. Much better than l thought it would be- thank you dear Sue in showing me around. It’s so huge place of wonder
I like this one. The cemetary is chock full of great monuments. It looks challenging to maintain tho. Sue your voice is very calming and has a tone of respect and proper decorum. So many narraters try to sensationalize. Keep it up fine lady.
As beautiful as the greenery is, the trees topple gravestones and the roots invade the graves themselves, yeah, part of nature. The moss, lichen and ivy actually eats away the stones. Everything man has ever built can be consumed by nature, eventually. Another great video, thanks!
Hello Sue , I love it when come to these place they are so beautiful , were you not here before I seem to remember the story of the lady with the dress that caught on fire , also i think you went to George Michels grave . I think there must be quite a lot of famous people buried in there , I remember Beryl Bainbridge she wrote The Girl in the Poker Dot Dress something to do with the Robert Kennedy assassination. Thank you Sue this was fantastic.
Hi ! Sue this cemetery was quite interesting ! Very gorgeous headstones! You are right people were small in those days! But i think someone followed you while you were visiting the grave yard! And i think this person was dead for a long time! If you see what i mean!!! I loved your video Sue as usual! But be careful when you're on your own ! Stay safe God Bless ! Denis from France...
If at all possible i woould really love to see any earlier photos of this site before it became overgrown and any other similar sites.Such a beautiful site and one could only imagine the history in this place
I would love it if you could visit the Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh, Scotland and read most of the tombstones.
