- So she has the song pretty well memorized...
I find it absolutely incredible that Korone is a pretty big South Park fan.

Korone singing the South Park anime song is both surreal and apt.
It's surreal and so real
Some things in life you never expect to crossover, this is one of them.
What's "apt"?
@@TAGanimationAppropriate or fitting. They’re basically saying that, while bizarre, it makes sense that korone would know the song given her personality and interests.
Been waiting ever since I saw 宮助's full cover of it.
You ever think when Matt Stone & Trey Parker made this song they ever thought that an actual anime girl would sing it
I wonder if they know about this. They'd love it.
Trey Parker actually Studied Japanese in College so he is fluent and actually records the Japanese for the show
Probably thought about it at some point as a joke.
It was surreal. Like, South Park might be famous in Japan.
@@shinodamasaru7945the original FLCL miniseries in 2003 had a South Park parody in one episode, so it’s had some kind of fan base in Japan for a good two decades now.
she knows the lyrics lmao
Well she did a cover of it before she joined hololive.
I think the song was pretty popular among Japanese geeks for a while. I'm not surprised she knows it.
@@morsletum5348 the vid still up?
@@alessandrowanderlei2656just search for Fighting Love, it will pop up
@@alessandrowanderlei2656 Yep, just search Korone Let's Fighting Love. Should be the one by Cucacoconut.
early in the game she also humming "Kyle's mom"
Clip?
Clip?
It's at 44:33 in the stream for anyone wondering.
I just heard Korone sing "protect my balls" and it's more than I could have hoped to accomplish today.
She's a cute doggy, so she's got a lot of tennis balls that she likes to chase. Obviously she wants to protect them.
fuwamoco: protect my smile
korone:
@@Ed-gz2lk Well, we now know who wears the pants in this dog family
Korone is known for being a huge South Park fan it even influence how she would "animate" her characters walking in her skits like her Ending Making Time.
Completely understandable, next to Married... With Children, South park was two of the shows that was part of family fun time here.
Of course not the only series/movies, but really memorable both.
Intellectually, I know that South Park has a surprisingly large following in Japan, but it’s always SO surreal to me to see Japanese people actually interact with it.
Didnt tenma also south park
Oh, poor poor Tenma. Forced to stream half of the game behind a censor screen, where the only hints at the content were her disbelieving screams. 😂
We need to find a way to get Korone to play that.
@@Necroskull388 True the good FLCL had a reference in one of the episodes
Korone singing "Taisetsu na mono wo PROTECT MY BALLS" isn't something I thought I'd hear today🤔
I love the reactions on chat. Half of it is JP bros being incredulous that the song exists, part is other JP bros knowing the song and just laughing along, and there's the occasional comment in English going "Wait, Korone knows the song?! By heart?!"
There were definitely more than a few cultured JP bros popping up when she mentioned that Stan's dad is her favorite who knew his name, lol.
Sadly I don't know the Protect My Balls song, but I do know the Uncle Fukka song by heart... even the dueling farts duet apparently. 🤣
@@lstcloud The episode is Good Times With Weapons, arguably one of the best in the series. Definitely worth looking up.
EN Doggos: Protect your smile.
JP Doog: Protect my balls.
I'm not sure how I should react to this.
Can't have one without the other.
@@adventpsyop Absolutely
There are -two- three wolves inside you...
I love the Koronesukis in chat just grabbing their glowsticks and going along with it
Can't protect your balls like that though
@@lazylonewolf yeah grabbin on for all time lol
Once again reminding me of that old meme saying "I love how JP people argue over western cartoons the way we argue over anime" 😅
I’m not sure about these days but the big three of Adult Cartoons from the West in Japan were South Park, Simpsons and King of the Hill. Given the popularity of those cartoons in Japan I can sort of understand how we got the Americans in Anime that exist today when those were their reference points.
@@Broomer52 They might as well fight the Mexican Simpsons fans. No seriously, Simpsons is on par with Dragon Ball in Mexico.
It still gives me warm fuzzies to hear JP folks love King of the Hill. Such a great show!
@@Broomer52
@@NoName-lk8ij king of the hill is the original slice of life anime after all
@@Urist_MythrilforgedMexican Simpson fans are nothing compared to Argentines Simpson fans, there that is like a religion.
Girl's already my all-time favorite V-tuber, yet she keeps giving me more reasons to love her, lmao
Imagine she breaks this at 6th FES
complete with a triple-air-flip
OMG. The funniest part of this comment is that it's NOT ACTUALLY OUTSIDE THE REALM OF POSSIBILITY that she would. Like, I can absolutely see her doing that, and I'm quite certain Matt and Trey would be more than happy to license the song for that purpose. ;)
omg they have to host a holo fest in Casa Bonita.
They bought the establishment you know, it's kinda struggling to be even remotely viable business venture.
People might get electrocute hen they hear this song. Like, I heard that song before, but where?
I would pay money if she sang uncle fucca and blame canada on stage
The fact that she knows "Let's Fighting Love" by heart is the best
There really is a perfect woman
This is actually the first time I've seen a full translation of the song. Korone's rendition is perfect.
Having any Hololive member singing this song was not on my bingo card
This dog is perfect
I am glad we have this trusty anime dog to guard our testicles.
After you run out of yubis, those are next for her to collect.
"This song is a little stupid and incomprehensible. The English is messed up" - Sakura Miko probably
I'll never forget the 2chan screenshot of the two Japanese dudes fighting over who was the most hardcore western cartoon fan, and one guy pulled out the "You've only watched South Park" insult.
Like us weebs would say "you've only watched Naruto" or something.
Where can I find this image?
interesting that south park is the default. I was thinking spongebob would maybe
@YingShanLT idk I saw it circulated again on twitter recently with a caption like "good to know Japan has the same arguments we do here in the west".
Other than that I can't help you out there.
@pointlessmanatee Maybe Spongebob ain't all that big over there.
Sorta like how One Piece was the biggest anime/manga in Japan for a solif decade or so whilst being less popular than Naruto and even Bleach for a time outside of Japan until fairly recently.
This is quite possibly one of the most bizzare things i've ever experienced as a hololive fan. The amount of layers as to why this is funny is incomprehensible. This clip will live in my head rent-free til the day i die. Thank you forever.
Korone is a south park OG, I can relate to her even more now
This song has always been multiple levels of genius.
Especially how "Hey hey let's go けんかする" (kenka suru) sounds like "Hey hey lets go kick assu"
When I saw the episode as a kid I genuinely thought it was "kick assu" just as a way of making fun of Engrish in anime themes. Much like the next line involving "PROTECT MY BALLS"
This stream was pure enjoyment for both Korone and her viewers. I already knew she liked South Park, but to actually hear her swear like a sailor (like we all did when we were kids and started watching South Park) and sing two iconic songs was too unreal
Like we all did, hm?
I always love when people are surprised that the Let's Fighting Love song was actual real Japanese and not just some made-up gibberish the way you'd assume South Park would do. It's honestly a pretty accurate parody of some anime openings. Especially one from the late 80's and early 90's.
Trey Parker is fluent, apparently.
It’s real Japanese, but the grammar is off.
Why would one assume that?
They've been pretty consistent with trying to use the real languages as opposed to gibberish since the very early seasons.
@@snausages43
This.
The intention for "Boku ga warui" seems to be "I'm bad(ass)", but just comes out as "Im wrong" or "It's my mistake" >_>
@@snausages43 Eh, not really. Songs will very often have sentence fragments. That's all you're seeing here too.
One of the million reasons why I love Koro-san
Blast from the past. She sang this one before she even joined Holo. 😂
Just when you think you couldn't like Korone more than you already do... BAM! She starts singing Let's Fighting Love.
Am I in the right timeline? Korone singing to of my favourite SOUTH PARK songs. Its not just shes singing it but SHE KNOWS THE LYRICS from SOUTH PARK of all places.
P R O T E C T M Y B A L L S
Korone keeps flexing why she's the goat
This is the best clip of all time.
What a timeline to be alive in... It's... beautiful...
I DIDNT KNEW THE LYRICS WAS ABOUT THAT !!!
Yeah, Trey Parker majored in both film and Japanese in college, so he’s pretty fluent, so anytime you hear Japanese in South Park it’s probably real, and it’s probably filthy lol
@@unmemorablehero Hey also had a Japanese wife, so odds are he got help from her as well to make sure it was coherent.
@@unmemorablehero Trey was the OG Filthy Frank, basically.
she's now my favorite. hands down.
The first time I saw that episode of South Park I don't think I would've ever imagined a day where a JP vtuber would be singing "Let's Fighting Love" on stream. What a great time we live in.
Unfathomably based doog.
I wonder how she would react if she knew the lyrics to Uncle Fucka.
I'm SURE she knows the basics. We have a VERY based doggo! Also, she knows ALL the lyrics to Let's Fighting Love! This shows how much of a South Park fan she is!
Oh she knows
She knows very well because while South Park is dubbed into Japanese (in Japan), when the song can't be directly translated, there is Japanese subs.
the song was dubbed, you can find literally dozens of videos of it on this very website
She did start singing a bit tiward the end. She knows her South Park.
I can't over how amazing this moment is. need a full cover or karaoke version from her pleaseeeee haha (no shot right)
the song has come full circle
Finally, Korone official cover of Let's Fighting Love!!!
It puts a big ol smile on my face to know that she knows the lyrics for the "fun times with weapons" episode 😂
Hearing Korone sing "It's important to protect my balls" in English gave me a whiplash even though I knew it was coming.
Thank you, I did not know that I needed this colab so much
Reminder that South Park was fairly popular in Japan even Ao Oni and Type-Moon's Carnaval Phantasm references it
"LANCER GA SHINDA!"
@@BloodrealmX"KONO HITO DE NASHI!"
Also Fooly Cooly
I love the internet sometimes. I never expected this from her and i love it!
I discovered that she already sung this "in a previous life".
Okay I am now very happy this game allowed us to experience this. I want a Hololive South Park Ep now!
I never knew I needed to hear this
I was breaking when she started singing the Ninja song live. She's the goat
look- i'm gangster as hell, but you know everyone sings along to *LET'S FIGHTING LOVE*
She's so real for this.
Korone is so cute lol
It’s absolutely hilarious that she’s a huge South Park fan
Korone's a national treasure of Japan
Really hope she plays The Stick of Truth, definitely a gold mine of reactions
Oh my god..... this made me happier than it should
South Park has had a cult following in Japan for more or less its existence. South Park went viral pre-mass social media (and before the term 'viral' was used in this context) and the Japanese were all, "Look at this crazy anime from the US."
Even the original FLCL had a lot of little references to it and a segment animated in its style.
Protecting your balls is one meta strategy in any street fight.
This is absolutely not something I knew I needed in my life.
But OH MY GOD I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFE.
I’ve never actually seen the English version of Let’s Fighting Love. The lyrics are hilarious
Uncultured individuals: This song is offensive to Japanese people!
Meanwhile, Japanese people:
I would kill to hear a Japanese parody of an American country song. Just absolutely full of butchered English talking about eating burgers, shooting guns, et cetera. I love that sort of parody.
Korone being a South Park fan is hilarious, but in a way doesn’t surprise me😂. The humour is right up her alley.
Just yesterday I saw that video of pre-Hololive Korone singing this song and thought "wow, she used to have a much different persona, huh? She'd never get away with that now that she's an idol!" And here she busts it out so casually lol!
This brought the biggest smile to my face. Must protect both my balls and this perfect doggo.
It's one thing for her to know South Park
But for her to REALLY know all the lyrics to that song, AND it's context, is top tier content! Lol
Korone singing "protect my balls" had me lauging so hard lol.
This is kind of hilarious. As I only speak English the Japanese parts just seem like gibberish but to a native speaker it's something that can be understood and repeated much more easily. It's funny hearing a different voice sing those lyrics.
It's great bc they're grammatically correct and make sense even if they're goofy as hell. Trey is a complete weeb. It's hilarious how he got the typical anison style of lyrics down to the corny mix of Japanese and bad English
Thank Trey Parker for taking Japanese classes in college
I didn’t realize that “Kenka Suru” was an actual thing, I thought the song was saying “Kick ass-u”
She added one more to her favorites collection
the uncle fucka at the end OMG. love her
If someone ever told me Korone would sing that song one day. I wouldn't have believed it lol
I am so happy, this has been my Raid in song for a while now and her singing and knowing it is amazing haha
i love korone, and i LOVE south park and the south park games an insane amount so this is an absolute win for me
Okay show of hands, who else didn't realize until Korone sung the song that it was actually Japanese this whole time and not just made up gibberish like they often do with languages on the show
Trey Parker speaks Japanese!
@@XCC23 really? I wasn't aware of this
Not even just speaks. Has a whole ass degree in it.
ALL of the Japanese in the show is legit as a result lol
I knew this song from way back, but with all the vtuber/Japanese exposure in my years i know find it funny how much of the lyrics i can actually undertand now
how long i have waited for a jp vtuber to sing this sp song
Korone is beyond giga-based
So weird. I still have my vhs recording of when that episode premiered. Never thought I'd hear Korone sing the lyrics lol. Heck, I never even looked up the translation of the song.
She never lost her way
It's truly impressive that she heard that song often enough to know it by heart!
korone trully cultured
She has always been a South Park fan.
I know the chances of his happening are incredibly low but I would be blown away if this could be an official collab or cover
Wow this is fast xD Thank you for the clip!
This is incredible, Korone is a good doggo
Korone is a really cultured dogo XD. She was my first contact with Miko, to the Vtuber world, and I'm glad that they are still making me laugh like on the first day.
shes perfect
the best cover of lets fighting love!
omg, i hate myself so much that i have to work early on and missed the stream, this is fckin glorious www
I absolutely love it 😂
I honestly think this is the biggest full circle moment in internet history. My inner child just exploded then melted.
I'm impressed how well Korone is pronouncing "L" nowadays!
She’s a cultured doggo.
Amazing, really, that Korone can make *THAT* song sound cute.
And wow, Korone's love affair with Western shows runs DEEP 🤎
Awesome Korone clip lol🥐 I love this so much lolol
