Sasha missed the transfer window. She requested the transfer in may I believe but since the war and ban stuff has been pushed back. So she will compete under sambo but will be training with CSKA. @@mariam.2024 From the comments I've seen from the Russians about Anna, they speak very badly about her. They judge any action she does, good or bad. And as Olympic Champion, I can bet they would prefer anyone else. They say she stole or bought the gold. That she's bad with Sasha for winning. And usually they don't take her into consideration, they forget about her. Anna doesn't exist for them, unless it's to talk bad about her.
I think she's genuinely liked in Russia, actually. But some Russians were offended that Anna didn't attend the pro-Putin rally and appear in propoganda with him after winning the OGM. Her family belongs to the liberal bourgeois intellectuals with ties to Europe, so Anna isn't fully in step culturally with Russia's zeitgeist. That said, she's quite gifted at PR and is good at crafting a likable, apolitical image.
i can see it. also mabye it wasnt about the test skate but afterwards that eteri said to her she needs to train more and sadha said nope i am out of here
I truly hope things work out for Sasha, but it's difficult to believe so. At this point they're all so injured, it's going to be rough to come back from if she's not given/doesn't take the time and space to heal
When I watched the test skates live, a lot of the people commenting were claiming she withdrew from the test skates for the free program portion because of a back injury
When I watched Trusova's new SP I thought something was weird in her skating (not just the jumps), but contrasted with the second program you show in your video it's so obvious. The new one has no speed, no energy, no ice coverage. And I was so distracted by those strands of hair in her face (she seemed to be, too). It seems the three Olympians' bodies have started going through puberty since the Olympics. TBH, even if russia gets the hell out of Ukraine today and the ban is lifted, I doubt we'll see any of them in a major competition again. (The new girls are severely, disturbingly thin even for their ages.)
I'm honestly happy for Sasha. Actually eteri and her have the same thing in common (bad bitches) each in their own way (you know what i mean). Also the fact that team tutb knew that sasha is going to leave them would justify her sp presentation: her hair was a mess and she looked like a fu**** Christmas tree in that polyester green dress...im sorry but it really was a that bad. I hope she can rest and recover in the new team.
The green costume looks fine, Sasha has beautiful green eyes, green dress matches to her eyes color perfectly. Sasha in red hair and green costume looks like Mera in Aquaman❤
Sasha was never my favorite, but she's incredibly talented and deserves to be somewhere that she's happy, cared for and about, encouraged, and healthy, both physically and mentally. Also, best wishes for Alena and Anna on their recoveries. I adore Anna and would love to see her doing gala appearances in the future.
Is she is looking to prolong her career, I 100% believe this is the right choice for her. She needs someone who is going to work with her changing body and not to stunt her growth.
Sasha actually looks like a figure skater, muscular and very strong. I’m pretty sure leaving Eteri will definitely benefit her. Sasha growing her musculature to jump better is actually way better than losing weight, both from skating and physiology. Good for Sasha
I'm new to the figure skating community and Paola is my main source of information, which is awesome! but how does everyone else keep up to date? should I be following certain accounts on twitter/IG?
How could you tell she was injured by her performance on the short? I would never think she was injured bc I saw nothing different, she just had a little mistake but It looked unexpected like she just lost her balance. So I’m asking bc I’m genuinely curious lol

soooooo this explains that ''last minute'' sp of sasha in the test skates. what i think is that for sure she had no chance of making it to milano cortino with eteri, with cska? idk. if you think about it, if sasha wants to make it to the olympics she has to do well in rusnats 2025 december. who knows if eteri will be able to prepare younger rockets to fight or not, i dont think they will be petrosian and sofia either. i admire sasha's determination to success and if we were not talking about sasha but another skater i would 100% agree that it is a soft retirement. however i believe sasha will try everything she has to stay competitive just like zhenya. lets see how it goes, i hope everything works out for her well!
Age limit will be having an impact as well on any future Eteri dominance (assuming her return to international fs competitions anyway). Though I would also not be surprised if Russia put the girls on puberty blockers or something....
They would be crazy enough to do that 😂 kind of like when in East Germany, female swimmers were given ''vitamins'' but actually they were given testosterone and later in life they started to grow beards, became infertile and so many other health issues 🙊 but i do hope the new age limit kills Eteri's dominance

Ummmm becuz no matter what she wants rn it doesn’t change the fact that currently Russian athletes are banned for any international competitions and no one know how long the ban will last. @@ariseira_ my prediction is that all three girls from Beijing Olympics will be semi retired by the end of the season. No one is going to compete on ice rink again after this year.
Valieva should leave as well. There is no question she was exploited by Eteri in the test skates.. and that after being traumatized just months ago. Eteri is toxic.
The entire field of ladies figure skating is swiftly collapsing before our very eyes and Eteri Tutberidze is contributing towards its precipitous fall. The doping scandal of Kamila valieva which blotted this year's disappointing Olympic event and Putin's ensuing war against the Ukraine are only compounding the sport and turning off many fans. So its not surprising why Sasha Trusova is making her exit once again amidst the Eteri camp. Her top skaters have all fallen victim towards sustaining injuries or they are retiring at an early age. What a sad prospect for such a stellar field of extremely talented Russian female skaters whose careers are being sabotaged by the very coach who enabled many of them to achieve astronomical success. Only to be tossed to the wayside as an after thought!
What is going on in this world? Sasha Trusova is changing the coach. OK that happens in sport all time every day. It's 100% just her decision!!! Not anyone else his decision.
She is a real athlete and she have a dream and it's still possible to get this dream come true. When you read the Russian news and comments on this coach change news it's ridiculous. Where is all the hate coming from??? Why does it exist? "My skater is better than yours he is the best ever an all time... (you have to live a long time to say this) Sasha is just shit she was shit she will never do Quads again her carrier is over...... What is wrong with you guys? She is a smart girl😎! So clever 🤓 btw: Did someone know that Eteri during her medium career changed 7 times the coach. They say Sasha will now loose against all the Sambo70 girls.... Which Sambo Girls? Kamila Valieva: Is suspected of doping. If convicted, she will not compete at all. CURRENTLY she is INJURED and is happy to do 25cm high 3+3 combos - she is far from quads and her best times. Sasha landed 5 quads just bevor the WC in the same age, but the Pandemic closed all doors. Anna Shcherbakova is recovering from a knee INJURY and if she will ever do Quads again, we have to see and wait. She struggled already last season with one or two quads. Never landed a quad at a WC. I will say nothing about this over 100 TES at Olympia😷🤔 More than Yuzuru with 3 quads two 3A and an 4A attempt. Sofia Akateva: First official she is a junior for the next two years. She can say thank you to... We will know soon 😁 She is an underweight Ultra-C jumper with OK artistry. If she can do Quads when she is a senior!? But in her age Sasha did already 5 quads on training.... At the Test Skate she landed one quad and an 3A on the limit to be underrotated. Is also recovering was INJURED. Adeliia Petrosian: she is also a ultra ultra light weight Ultra-C jumper landed one quad at the Test Skated. Looks like a kid on the Ice with too big shoes. Yes, she is cute but it a sport! She is a Kid. International she will not in the Top 10. In 2 - 3 years possibly. But if she has than still Ultra-C? Maiia Khromykh: is INJURED was not at the Test Skate. Will never beat Trusova. Have a quad but how long will take her body that? She is the tallest from all. Daria Usacheva: Had a bad hard INJURY never landed one Ultra-C. Great artistry but also lost against Sasha when Sasha was injured on the Ice No one talks about the real great talents in Russia Sofia Samodelkina or Sofia Muravieva... This both can be great one Day. All of them without Anna and Kami, will have their first international senior season when they are allowed to be back. They will be nervous and will do mistakes. That's normal. They will get less GOE because it is their first year. GOE you have to earn over the years. Sasha Trusova will go in her 4th-5th senior Season as an adult Women. She will be judged differently like it's normal. Sasha landed during off season with the body like it's right now all 4Lz in all shows when I'm right 14 from 14 one step out. She landed 5 from 6 4F. 90% of this new girl's ever landed an 4Lz or 4F!!! Why so many think Trusova career is over and that she will do no quads anymore? I tell you are all wrong and just dream it will be like that. She landed some weeks ago an awesome 4Lz seq. 2A. Now in 3 weeks she lost that 😂 Keep dreaming So many say she did this just because of Mark. No one thinks just a little further. I think Trusova does this. What is her goal as an real Athlete. It's still the same. She wants to win Gold at Olympia. This she can do just again in 4 years. 2026 in Italy. She will be 21 nearly 22 years of age. How long was the longest Eteri Girl on the Ice? 18 - 19 years of age Jewgenija Medwedewa was with 19 physically a wreck! Alina Zagitova was when it comes bad like Kamila a mayfly bred to the point at the age of 15 to win Gold at Olympia. Not allowed to drink during competition eating like Anna fluid food etc..... None of them had a real career.... One of the best and from the 3A Girls - Aliona Kostornaia have an hip operation with 19 and when she ever comes back lika Anna S. just with a long recovery time. If they ever come back doing multiple Ultra-C we do not know. Multiple quads is a good point still no other girl ever landed consistently multiple quads in a program without Trusova. Sure including 4Lz and 4F. Since Trusova did what all "great coach" thought it's impossible for Girls. The 4S from Miki Ando was so massive under that it was a joke to give it positive GOE. She never landed an quad at senior level too!!! Sasha's goal is to compete 2026 maybe with Mark and Samu in Italy to win that Gold that she deserves!!! But this she can not do under Eteri Tutberidze. So best season to do it is right now. Think about it who is the smart one?????
I think a lot of the skaters are keeping on going because it keeps the sponsorship money flowing. Alina Sotnikova didn't "retire" for ages, despite not competing, because I imagine there was money involved. Zagitova hasn't retired yet I don't think. Even Roger Federer took a long time to actually retire
More than wondering if Trusova will go to the Olympics, I wonder if Russia (as a country) will go to the next Olympics, I mean they are already banned from international competitions and the war situation doesn't seem to improve, if they go people will not being very happy to see them, for serving as propaganda for their government, for doping, their overrated scores and their constant victimization instead of accepting responsibility, it's inevitable that people feel rejection when there are no sanctions and when other athletes who worked hard are affected
I mean if she is still skating competitively in the next 3 years and the ban is till on I can see her changing her sport nationality and competing for a different country.
The 2nd mark is just a social construct. Trusova won’t be more than a good at PCS so why bother putting time into it. She needs a coach who just says, “Fuck it. We’re All-In on jumping.”
I think the russian fs era is over. I don’t see anna or kamila competing internationally again, anna will be too injured (and she literally won the Olympics like there’s nothing more to win), and Kamilas reputation is destroyed (doping and putin). I think aliona will retire sooner or later, and sadly i think sasha won’t be around much longer (or not for another Olympics) just because of these injuries. Also these girls are now adults with lives and other things... fs isn’t their whole life anymore so i don’t think these girls want that so badly anymore. Also the new team tut talents aren’t that interesting anymore with 3A retiring, i mean none of them will accomplish something ‘never done before’ bc sasha anna and aliona already did that years ago at 14/15. The russians aren’t that interesting anymore + nobody likes team tut after that olympic scandal and the whole war thing.
I think she's phasing out anyway. Her injuries will only get worse. Eteri ruined her body like all her girls. Valieva needs to get the hell out now. She might save herself for a few more years if she goes immediately or She'll be ruined too. As for Anna, I bet she's done too.
The move is for recovery not achievement! She try the “selling your health” for the olympics and know she needs a functional body for the long run. We all knows that’s not what Eteri is know for…
Have you heard of the new ethical Rules of the Federation? Ich hope Paola converts it too. It seems all very correct and polite but they are actually silencing both skaters and coaches
Overtraining and working out 12 hours a day makes the muscle fibers detach from the bones. The girls are not being properly fed & skating vigorously burns 300-500 calories an hour. And not even being allowed water to stay hydrated? They're starving these children and abusing them. It's cruel and sick. They need to take a lesson from Jack LaLane. He knew what he was doing.
Scherbs aint coming back she got her ogm she has her worlds gold she just had knee surgery i assume she doesnt want to further reck her body given there are no interenational comps in the near future, if anyone is to make a comeback is alyona
If you took a look at the participants list you would see how many more of them are there... Loena Hendricx preparing fir her 3rd Olympics... And getting better and better by each season
This commentator has a most unfortunate register. She sounds like of a yappy gossip - full of heresay and subjective twittering. The expletives are unnecessary.
Is it possible she's going to get/is able to get permission to skate under another country? Because whilst a move I would make does seem wild if she isn't able to skate outside of Russia. She'd be putting so much at risk if not.

Radionova even said she loved the programs she choreographed for aliona.
She may never perform like she used to, but it doesn’t mean she leaves the sport.
motivation is still there since she didnt get to go to oly, or should i say bitterness.
@@keiralionel yeah i agree.
Aliona is much older than most of other girls and she doesn’t have quads, it’s not cost effective for her to continue fighting in such extremely competitive environment of Russian skating.
@@KamilaValieva-fan she could have a Triple axel and great artistry. She’s barely older than Trusova. Girls like Muravieva don’t have quads either, when you don’t have quads you can still exist on the scene without being on top.
Besides she has a big fan base compared to others so she will still attract people for competitions.
@@NB-or8rs yes, Aliona will be on stage without topping, she is 1 year older than Trusova. Aliona currently ranks no. 10 among the Russian female figure skaters. Sofia Muraveva has 4S, 3A+3T.
I hope that this new coach treats her with some gentleness and kindness. And I hope she never goes back to Eteri. Aliona Kostornaia seems to be doing well again with Elena Buyanova.
I really hope eteri doesn't commit the same error of doing sasha the public enemy:(
well it works in Russia. The media are pro Eteri so they will paint Sasha as an ungrateful brat like they did with Evgenia, Aleona and Julia
It will be interesting to see how the minimum age being bumped up to 17 will affect the Eteri expiration date.
I hope this mean she will be able to take care of her body and we might be able to see her skate for a couple more years.
It’s like Evgenia and I feel like Sasha has the chance Evgenia lost due to Corona and she tries to foght trough it with true willpower.
It’s like an era ends Liza probably won’t continue so old athletes won’t be there. Sasha will also probably retire and with Kamis doping Skandal the future isn‘t too secure. The former Juniors are great but not as mindblowing as the others
Medvedeva lost because she was worse than others, why always blame old injuries, covid19.......
@@butterfly6546 yes she was worse bc she was firstly not in shape and secondly tutberidze is like Apple just as iPhones every generation gets better like medvedeva 3-3s, Zagitova 3-3s and jumps all in the second half, sasha Anya Aliona Quads and 3A, Valieva 3A and Quads in one person, Petrosian 4L and more students with 3A and Quads.
First they take the basis and then improve it so naturally the 2nd generation starts earlier bc they see it is possible
@@butterfly6546 хейтер медведевой
It seems like Sokolovskaya is more careful with the atlethes bodies. Maybe, that ist her reason for changing to her since she has not the oportunity to go to a Brian Orser like Zhenia did. I wish her the best .... althou I do think, the era 3A is gone. All 3 of the are seriously injured. Etery und Dudakov have to figuere out a way of train champios without destroying their bodies in the process
Eteri isnt interested in training her skaters without destroying their bodies and then blaming the skaters for their injury calling the lazy . or eating too much!
E Danil deve trovare il modo di essere educato e non offensivo con le atlete, lui è il peggiore dei tre
Shasha can go whatever she wants. For me it’s look like she just want to train with Mark and spend more time together. There are no international competitions, Shasha do not need to train so much as before. And she will go to the university. I think she try to find herself. It’s ok. She tried herself as a trainer at the Summer, ja with Eteri. And it’s look like she like to train from the beginning. I have seen that Eteri liked how Shasha trained. And she told this to her too.
the problem is if the Russian skaing federation doesn't like her choice they will cut her funding
Sasha missed the transfer window. She requested the transfer in may I believe but since the war and ban stuff has been pushed back. So she will compete under sambo but will be training with CSKA. I think it’s a good choice. She wants to compete for awhile and make another Olympics. She has all the quads, and is working on skills.
This feels like Evgenia all over again: after getting 2nd place at the Olympics, they leave Tutberidze and go to another coach when their near the expiration date
I still wish zhenya stayed with brian :( she was so talented and one of my favorites.
Do you really think Anna is coming back? I think she will use her injury as a way of bowing out gracefully.
I hope so, leaving Eteri is not an option unless you want to be treated as a traitor. And Anna is already hated in Russia
@@deb22605 wait why is Anna hated in russia? Genuinely asking because I thought they liked her as the Olympic champion
@@zackwilson8701 Yes, that's probably why. Still, I think it doesn't change the fact that despite being the champion she's the least "popular"
I think that she had a fight with Eteri for the long program: Eteri wanted her to perform injured and Sasha had it
That's what I think too (just a guess). Think they fought over her doing the free, and she refused.
Wow I hadn't thought of this good point
i can see it. also mabye it wasnt about the test skate but afterwards that eteri said to her she needs to train more and sadha said nope i am out of here
I truly hope things work out for Sasha, but it's difficult to believe so. At this point they're all so injured, it's going to be rough to come back from if she's not given/doesn't take the time and space to heal
Every time Paola posts major fs tea spills 😂
the universe plays games with me 😅
When I watched the test skates live, a lot of the people commenting were claiming she withdrew from the test skates for the free program portion because of a back injury
Саша сама сказала, что снялась с произвольной программы из-за травмы спины
I agree, it seems the Eteri expiration date is showing itself again.
Hope she goes to at least one more olympics, it's rare to see russian girls going to more than one
Good for her
I support Sasha in whatever decisions she makes
She is my fav! Wish her the best.
Is she is looking to prolong her career, I 100% believe this is the right choice for her. She needs someone who is going to work with her changing body and not to stunt her growth.
Sasha and Mark make a cute couple♥️
So I’m asking bc I’m genuinely curious lol
she didn't perform her long program at the Russian test skates due to a back injury and stated she did the short for the fans, not her health
@@rebekahglennellis7434 I know. That was pretty clear. My question was not about the free program, I am pretty clearly talking about the short program
when you have an injury it's easier to lose balance bc you have less range of motion, a lot of her movements seemed shaky to me, hope she will recover
@@anajulialuz1968 oops, i read your comment too quickly. my bad! other commenters have already answered your actual question, and i'm not sure which mistake you meant to comment on originally, but to my eyes aside from the shakier landings on jumps that she usually nails, her flexibility in her illusion spin kicking her leg over her head looked a lot clumsier and less smooth than usual
soooooo this explains that ''last minute'' sp of sasha in the test skates. what i think is that for sure she had no chance of making it to milano cortino with eteri, with cska? idk. if you think about it, if sasha wants to make it to the olympics she has to do well in rusnats 2025 december. who knows if eteri will be able to prepare younger rockets to fight or not, i dont think they will be petrosian and sofia either. i admire sasha's determination to success and if we were not talking about sasha but another skater i would 100% agree that it is a soft retirement. however i believe sasha will try everything she has to stay competitive just like zhenya. lets see how it goes, i hope everything works out for her well!
Age limit will be having an impact as well on any future Eteri dominance (assuming her return to international fs competitions anyway). Though I would also not be surprised if Russia put the girls on puberty blockers or something....
They would be crazy enough to do that 😂 kind of like when in East Germany, female swimmers were given ''vitamins'' but actually they were given testosterone and later in life they started to grow beards, became infertile and so many other health issues 🙊 but i do hope the new age limit kills Eteri's dominance
maybe her camp will become a junior camp where you go to become a junior champion and leave as soon as you show signs of injury at 16-18
I thought they already were on puberty blockers..
This is self preservation she had to leave eteri to continue any career
This happening while Plushenko and Yagudin have rekindled their feud over some stupid thing. I love Russian figure skating
I was waiting for u to upload because of this news😂
I don’t understand why y’all are saying she’s not doing international competitions any more… Trusova herself said in an interview she wants to skate until she’s 22 because she wants to go to the Olympic Games AGAIN. Isn’t that a international competition? She will need the Eteri Bonus…
Ummmm becuz no matter what she wants rn it doesn’t change the fact that currently Russian athletes are banned for any international competitions and no one know how long the ban will last. As of now she is not doing any international competitions anymore cuz she literally isn’t allowed. None of them are
@@oyinolubayo7079 yeah but when they are allowed again I think she will have the same success with some other Coach…especially at the OG
Don't listen to words, actions speak louder. Her body shape does not suggest that she wants to stay on for any possible International competition in the future.
@@goodfella1234 she has most likely taken a break from training due to her injuries! Don't count her out
@@ariseira_ my prediction is that all three girls from Beijing Olympics will be semi retired by the end of the season.
I also don't like how people are making weight comments about her. she was starved the last olympics. leave the poor girl alone
(you have to live a long time to say this)
Sasha is just shit she was shit she will never do Quads again her carrier is over...... What is wrong with you guys? She is a smart girl😎! So clever 🤓
btw: Did someone know that Eteri during her medium career changed 7 times the coach.
We will know soon 😁
She is an underweight Ultra-C jumper with OK artistry.
Great artistry but also lost against Sasha when Sasha was injured on the Ice
No one talks about the real great talents in Russia Sofia Samodelkina or Sofia Muravieva...
2A. Now in 3 weeks she lost that 😂
Keep dreaming
So many say she did this just because of Mark.
ALexandra fue la.primera en contar su experiencia en los olímpicos, solo que no es reconocida ,sino copiada
just came back from ice skating practice after wandering when will a new video would came out
I think a lot of the skaters are keeping on going because it keeps the sponsorship money flowing.
Let’s hope their won’t. It’s sickening what are they doing.
I mean if she is still skating competitively in the next 3 years and the ban is till on I can see her changing her sport nationality and competing for a different country.
I wonder if she will consider switching to pairs ?
It’s svetlana SOKOLOVSKAYA
The 2nd mark is just a social construct. Trusova won’t be more than a good at PCS so why bother putting time into it. She needs a coach who just says, “Fuck it. We’re All-In on jumping.”
Eteri did not remove her bc Sasha still gonna represent Khrustalny, that is bc Sasha left when the season has already started.
I always say the “Guys, guys, guys..” part with you to get me primed for some Russian drama

They need a new poster now for the background lol
actually it wasnt yesterday but on Saturday. or did you film this video on sunday?
did she bring eteri flowers and thank her though?
Good for her!!
I don't think Sasha made this decision entirely of her own volition, it's like she was forced to, because why wait so long
BABE WAKE UP NEW PAOLA VID JUST DROPPED
I have been waiting for your video on this

Can you tell more??
Overtraining and working out 12 hours a day makes the muscle fibers detach from the bones. The girls are not being properly fed & skating vigorously burns 300-500 calories an hour. And not even being allowed water to stay hydrated? They're starving these children and abusing them. It's cruel and sick. They need to take a lesson from Jack LaLane. He knew what he was doing.
