Thank you Ike and Jonathan, what a great show with your knowledgeable guests. One of my favorite episodes is with Audrey Moss played by Robbie Lee. I would like to see an episode with Leif Garrett talking about his movie/TV career. While I am here I also liked The Blair Witch Mountain Project 🙂 Have you done an episode with any of the earthquake gang members?

      Leif has been asked. :)
We did an episode with one, Brad Savage, but need to get the others on! :)

Really enjoyed this. Two of my favorite shows growing up. I agreed with everything. Loved the earlier seasons. What do you think a Bionic movie would look like?

I was lucky to meet Lindsay and Richard at the San Diego comic con. Having trouble catching Lee in person. Any advice on his appearance schedule? Thanks for your time. I immediately liked and subscribed.

As far as Lee, not really sure other than to keep checking possible appearances. Would love to meet him as well! :)

Contrary to the opinions of the podcasters, I was delighted that they never had Steve and Jaime rekindle their romance. The character of Steve Austin was extremely unappealing in that he had no personality (due to Majors poor acting ability), was too macho and was incredibly boring -- the polar opposite of the character of Jaime Sommers. She could do better than Steve Austin and did in the form of her later boyfriend Chris Williams, a much more appealing character than Steve Austin.

The Bionic Woman is far superior to The Six Million Dollar Man. In fact, it is only because of The Bionic Woman that the parent show became a hit at all. The introduction of Lindsay Wagner as Jaime Sommers so improved the ratings of the anemic Six Mill which was on the brink of cancellation for low ratings. The huge response to Lindsay Wagner and her sensational portrayal is what shot the show into the stratosphere. It was for this reason that Lee Majors so resented the spin off show for decades and became disgruntled that she was being paid so much more than he was. The Six Million Dollar Man is largely unwatchable today whereas The Bionic Woman is still immensely watchable.

Six Mill’s ratings were actually better then bionic woman’s during the 4th season of his show, her ratings continued to sink so much that her show was cancelled at the end of the 2nd season. So your argument holds no water. Plus there would have been no bionic woman show without the show success of Six Mil. The long lasting career of Lee Majors who starred in more hit shows than Lindsay. This shows us that you have a weak, poorly thought out criticism. Boith shows were great in there own way, let’s leave it at that.

I don't thinks so. The show exceeded the ratings of its parent show until late into its second season (still top 15) at which time the president of ABC who resented her high salary cancelled it out of spite -- which is why NBC scooped it up. Ratings on NBC exceeded expectations where it did 75% better than the show it replaced in a terrible Saturday Night timeslot. NBC wanted to renew it for a fourth season, but Lindsay Wagner said she was finished and demanded a fitting finale be written. Unlike Six Mill which whimpered to it's end with one of the worst episodes of its run without its star even caring. @@keith5220

Wrong, Fred Silverman canceled the show when he took over NBC, he never cared for Lindsay or her acting, I saw the ratings for both shows, six mill was higher but not enough to justify a new season, bionic woman producers saw the ratings tanking and Lindsay asked for a concluding episode.

Was a fan of both shows. Need to revisit them and see how they hold up today. :)

You are so triggered by my comments! I guess the sexism of 1978 is alive and well in 2024. According to LW, she was asked by NBC to continue, but she wasn't interested and the cancellation was announced by NBC thereafter. It is true that Silverman was president at this time, but NBC was in 3rd place and was desperate to keep her because the show did better in the time slot than any show for them in many years. The opposite was true for ABC when Six Mill was cancelled because it tanked after it's move to Sunday night performing much worse than the show it replaced. . Incidentally, Silverman's hate on for LW had to do with her power as an actress, much like ABC fired Suzanne Somers for demanding salary parity in 1981. I know, reality sucks.@@keith5220
