Many many years ago my mother knitted me a cardigan and a crew neck sweater. I confess I have washed both in the washing machine and dried them in the dryer more than a few times. The yarn must be super resilient because they still look great. Of course, I shudder now at what I did and I am much more careful these days. My mom passed away 15 years ago and these sweaters are precious reminders of her and her craft. Until I started to crochet I didn’t realize how much time, energy, and care goes into handmade items. Great video!

Thank you for sharing these tips, particularly the one rolling your item in a towel and squeezing!!

Hi Rosie, I wondered if you had any recommendations for crochet books? I find lots of great tutorials and patterns online but sometimes its nice to have a book of great projects to fall back on.
