I think it’s time to remaster all nascar races from the 80’s and 90’s
They weren't filmed, they were videotaped. So it's basically what you see is what you get. The only way to improve the quality is if NASCAR ever secures the surviving master tapes that weren't wiped or disposed of already from the networks that originally aired these.
Instead, they appear to mostly be uploading recordings of the live feed done by NASCAR themselves. At least they weren't using consumer VHS recorders to preserve their tv history, but they're also largely not the same quality we'd see from the network master tapes (Like the pristine appearance this spring on FOX of a Richmond Winston Cup race from 1986 that they aired early into the pandemic before the sport got going again; FOX holds the master tapes of Winston Cup races from CBS and some others that they acquired when ABC/ESPN refused to open their vault to FOX in the early 2000's for archival footage).
NASCAR Production and Images actually took possession of all the master tapes or copies of the master tapes from networks that still had them available and from what I remember the networks had 99% of the master tapes. Also Every NASCAR fan has access to this catalog of tapes by going to their website and paying for the amount of time of remastered video and NASCAR images will digitize what u want, and NASCAR images has been working on digitizing all the master tapes to digital. But it's expensive.
@@trecooledge1326 I have never heard about this. Could you please elaborate on how one would do this? Maybe a link or something? I'd gladly pay to get good video quality of some of the biggest and best races from the 90s and early 2000s.
@@trecooledge1326where is this ominous website you talk about?
I happily pay for high quality 80s and 90s races!
Upload more truck races from this time. Love the high quality
yeah
Oh yes! The first ever Truck Series race, and an underrated race as well!
@@E180TEKNO The first ever truck races with points awarded from what I know
The very first NASCAR Truck Series, it's a classic race.
❤ that #3 truck! 🏁❤🏎
I wish Phoenix still looked like this
Racing was so much better in the 90's
Indeed
It was. Especially the truck series.
Yeah got to love the design of the older supertrucks
I loved watching the trucks especially in Martinsville which is only 30mins from my house..
great race really thank you NASCAR for the pure moment of pleasure 😍🙏👍
Back when Phoenix was in it’s proper configuration.
I miss this old Phoenix International Raceway
I totally agree
Yup.
Wherever again will you see two Dupont paint schemes in 1 race, never
Thank you for uploading this race
I forgot how cool the Phoenix track used to be.
Just think, Kyle Larson was like 3 years old in 95, and chase Elliott wasn't even born until November 1995......Ryan Blaney would have been 2 in 1995 and alex bowman was 2 as well......
Good thinking
That number 6 truck of Ron Hornaday😄. Oh well even the greats have their off days.
There sure was a lot of good mustaches in the 90s!

The 1995 Skoal Bandit Copper World Classic was a pickup truck race held on February 5, 1995 at the Phoenix International Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. It was the first event of the 1995 NASCAR SuperTruck Series by Craftsman, the first season of what is now the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and was broadcasted by TNN Motorsports for The Nashville Network. The very first NASCAR SuperTruck Series by Craftsman race at the Phoenix International Raceway that was won by Mike Skinner was jointly produced by Television and Production Exponents, Inc. and SilverStar Communications, Inc. and aired live, nationwide, and via-satellite on GMA Network on February 6, 1995 (Manila Time) with a radio simulcast on DZBB 594 Radyo Bisig Bayan and Campus Radio 97.1 WLS FM
The best nascar series. By far
Interesting.....the background music during the field intro was what ESPN used to use in CART broadcasts.
I thought it was so cool that they were able to do a street truck comparison to the track truck, i hope with the next gen car cominh out next year they can go back to the roots of street car vs track car comparisons
I'm still waiting on the mini van series

Is this a “hint” that the truck series is going to Knoxville?
I hope the trucks go to more short tracks like how they use to. South Boston, IRP, Irwindale and etc.
They just released the schedule and no they are not going to Phoenix twice.
Good call, they are
(don't) not go support your local short track.
Oooo I can’t wait!
Legend
*Behold, the first ever NASCAR Truck Series race.*
Those obs trucks are the best
Truck engined sound better than thunder ⛈️ 🤔 ❤
According to Racing Reference, Skinner also started the championship points with 180, but had the most laps led with 30. Hornaday and Labonte the only other ones to lead... Shouldn't Skinner have had 190, Terry Labonte 175 and Ron Hornaday Jr 143? I thought it was 10 points for leading the most laps back then, five points for leading one lap and five for the win. Was I mistaken?
Truck racing wow
That number 3 truck looks like cleetus mcfarland's one
I'm pretty sure his was a truck series truck, maybe not that exact one, but one with that paint scheme.
I have a die cast of the Mike Skinner truck that won this race
Same here, mine is made by Racing Champions
FOR AN UNPROVEN SERIES LOOK AT THE BLUE CHIP COMPANIES INVOLVED AND THE QUALITY OF THE DRIVERS
Back when Truck series has big sponsor names.
The TRUCKS!
That Taco Bell #10 truck looks just like a Chevy truck with that chrome grille.
it trips me out how they kept switching hats during interviews back then instead of just having them say their sponsors lol. say 10 words then wear this hat, 2 sentences then wear this hat haha
Jerry glanville racing in trucks. I didn't know he race in trucks
The 3 truck had so much more horsepower then everyone else, NASCAR should have made them take off a plug wire to give them other guys a chance. I'm currently on lap 35, or thereabout.
Could you not put the winner in the thumbnail and description?
This was when Phoenix was at its best. Then you destroyed it
Not sure whats so terrible about the current Phoenix, but ight
the reconfig of Phoenix was needless
👍
18th Annual Copper World Classic what is that. 🤔🤔🤔?
Hey
Why don't dodge race in trucks
