Thank YOU! After 3 hours of searching various websites, methods & watching videos about people droning on about what NOT to use - acoustic foam, foam bed toppers, etc. etc... And instead plugging an overpriced option with their obvious referral link, no solution at all, or a non beginner friendly DIY methods... I have finally found an solution to my problem, Thank You for getting straight to 👏🏾 the 👏🏾POINT! 👏🏾
Did u ever buy them. How did they work
@Born To Sing With The Guitar damn bro u sound mad offended
Wow 😳 glad I came here 1st!!!
Egg crates
Thanks for this Marcus! 💯✊🏾 Much Love bruh! Definitely helped not only me, but MANY ppl out!!!! This is amazing yo
You have help me to choose blankets over the other stuff I was going to use. So thanks , and I take my hat off to you good Sir.
You managed to pack in so much information in only 5 minutes. Thanks for that. Keep up the good work!
Finally a quick video that's straight to the point without all the lingering long technical mumble jumble bullsh*t. Other videos have either to much going on, or its just too long, or its not the practical DIY type video you looking for. FINALLY!!!
THANK YOU for this video!!!! I wanted to replace the blue foam acoustic tile because it's degrading and I don't want to inhale anything dangerous 😫. I really like these blankets and I'm opting to use the white side to brighten up an already darkened studio space. Also, thank you for those HOOKS!!! This will greatly help my studio to transform it into a voiceover studio!!! Thank you again!!!
You must've set those really well because iv never seen someone sound proof with only blankets, maybe only acoustic treatment but not sound proofing... wow good job man!!!
Deac!! This is vintage Marcus! Takes me back to your early vlogs!💯💯
Éso te hace un grande!!! Compartir tus conocimientos y apoyar desde donde estas a los que estan aprendiendo!!! Un abrazo Bro!!! 💪🇦🇷🇺🇸
thanks a million MT....im setting up a home studio as a voice artist in the mother-land South Africa, i was sooooo loooooking for an affordable oPtion...Great stuff keep up the gudwork
Brooo I appreciate this man for real getting ready to start back up with the videos soon and I needed something like this 💯
This is perfect for my new (old) house. Good thinking, thanks man.
This sounds great mate I used to play the Drums, Now I play the Congo`s & Bongos + High- hat & percusian there make a lot of noise ! So these Sound Blankets really work Bro. Cheers from OZ
Yo Bruh !!!!!! This is right on time !!!! Thanks for the VERY HELPFUL INFO. Mos Def going to look into these IMMEDIATELY !!!!
Thanks for this informative review. I had no idea this product existed but it is exactly what I needed.
My dad and I are planning to build a studio in our basement and this product could come in clutch for us. Thanks Marcus for the review. Can’t wait for your next cover.✊🏾
Have you used it already in your basement studio? cus i am planning to do the exact same thing in my basement
Awesome! I am building an at home studio and these look perfect thank you!
I freaking love you. Thank you, this helps so much!
Awesome video. This is really cool tutorial on how to soundproof your room. :)
Brooo thank u so much, god bless simplicity
Dude, thank you for making this video!
Great info lookin at a lot if options rn, ty for sharing!!
literally what I've been looking for, thanks man
How did they work?
did they work
Dude this video is sick! Definitely gonna get these sheets when I get into a bigger place! Thanks bro, kill it with your music bro 😜✌️
This was extremely helpful and now living in apartment which has the best amenities the walls in some of the areas are extremely thin and I need to watch TV and sometimes study with music and Scripts without disturbing my neighbor. Altho I feel it it’s the my problem and it’s the lanlords issue, I still will get this. I believe in making situations as satisfying as possible. Thank you !
Everybody needs a neighbor like you!
Hey how has this worked for you? I’m thinking of doing the same
Best "soundproof" room I ever practiced in was with carpet. My buddies lived across from a 4 story apartment complex and they just took the old carpet from the trucks. We had to nail 4 sheets into the wals but it worked. I played thru a half stack, thrasher Metal, full drums vox bass and unless you put your ear up to the outside window you wouldn't know there was a band.
So basically just nail four layers of carpet to the walls? That might be a good idea right there. Thanks.
When you say just took the old carpet from the trucks what do you mean exactly?
@@WindsongPodcast you might want to upgrade and use clean carpet, we were high, a lot.
@@pikeysrock haha ok will do. Thanks again for the tip. I'm probably going to use this method to sound proof a studio that I'm opening in a couple weeks. Cheers.
Carpets are heavy and they are not free
@@Theveganshift77 they were for us and the stains from the previous owners came included. So the apartments across from us had to replace the rugs. We asked if we could have the old rugs, they of course said yes because now they didn't have to hassle with the old rug 😂. But yes, if you bought new rug it would be really expensive. But we were teenagers in a punk rock house with a landlord that we dodged and hid from until the cops eventually evicted us. Our standards were lower than a frogs ass.
I'ts amazing that you have no neighbors beating down your door because I used to hear me friend playing his drums from inside of his closet, four houses down when I was growing up! Must be good stuff. I will probably make the investment.
You’re a lifesaver bro.
Thanks for sharing , this is just what I’m looking for
You're the best. I play the sax and live in an apartment. Saved me with this one
How many did u buy to successfully sound proof
This is really cool, man! i have a small room i chill and play guitar in and i think this is going to help out a lot. thanks for making this video, dude!
Happy to help!
wow!!! Thats amazing!!! Thank you for sharing.
Man thanks for this ! This helps a lot
Just bought mine can’t wait 🔥🔥
The best video so far. I also played the drums 🥁
What a brilliant idea
Thank you Marcus‼️ 🔥🔥🔥
Damn🔥 ima use this my guy‼️
thats a cool looking room for an amazing drummer! love your videos
Thanks so much for the video brother I'm learning guitar and driving my wife crazy🥴. I've been wanting to set up a spare bedroom. This might just be the answer.
Thanks man I’ve been looking for a temp setup without breaking the bank
good job on the new house bro
Thank you for this man
Thank you for this information!
Great suggestion!!
One small thing though: The product page of the adhesive hooks says they're not suitable for painted walls, which is what I suspected. I'd go with drywall anchors/plugs and screws. They are easily filled with filler once removed and do less damage than adhesive hooks which can tend to rip the paper from the drywall when trying to remove or if they fall off.
Do you think Curtain hanger bars will help hold the blankets?
Nice, I have the exactly the same blankets and hocks. Mine is painted walls and it hang well.
Excellent video, thanks!
They look like the old furniture safety moving blankets. I do agree they make the room look nice as well.
Yeah I wonder if those moving blankets might be similarly effective?
@@WindsongPodcastI’ve seen moving blankets recommended for this in quite a few places
I have a room that I need to add more soundproofing to. I’m trying to keep sound from getting out but also for better acoustics. How much does this work inside your house? How loud is the drum sound in the rest of the house? How much drum sound is there on the outside of the house? Could you make a demonstration video to show the effectiveness for both. Thank you.
Thank you so much!!! 🙌🏼
So inspiring me brother.. thanks before..🙏🏻👏🏻
Love this!!!!🙋🏽♀️💕
Thanks 4 this video Marcus
Love this!
Thank you for sharing!!!
You life saver about time someone showed us something different instead of them dumb foam panels
Thanks for sharing bro!
Definitely ordered mine!!! ✊🏾✊🏾
How well does it work?
Did they work as expected?
I love this video man, I've been wanting to setup a studio myself but haven't found the right stuff till now so thank you for that.
Just wanted to ask but does it get hot or warm with all the blankets? if so would you suggest anything like a ceiling fan or something to keep the room cool?
but love the content you make and keep doing what you love cause its helped me and many others.
This is good and cost efficient. thank you sir
Appreciate the info!
Thanks for sharing this video 😊
Man can you ask your doods that live in an apartment to do a feature video with you on it? Is it acoustic? I'm here for it!
Wish I had seen your video before I bought the foam tiles. We have the same room and ceiling.
This video is very helpful 👍
Hi Marcus. Thanks for the great video - really useful. How effective are acoustic blankets for blocking out external sounds - aircraft passing overhead, etc? I ask as I'm trying to soundproof an attic room for VO. Cheers mate.
Thank you very much very helpful.
Nice. Noted for a future project
I got it cos of you bro I highly recommended 💥
One of the Best Ideas of SoundProofing is "SoundProof Curtains" That Stops Outside Noise by 80% (25 Db) Tested. Check Here: livesoundproof.com/best-soundproof-curtains/
How did u order?
Thanks!
thanks for this!
Very nice video. Have you ever washed them? If so, did they shrink? Did they become less effective? How big is your studio and how many panels did you use? Since they are a little more than 6.5 ft high and wide, and most walls are 8 or 9 ft, did you use something to cover the 1.5ft left over?
Thanks Marcus
Appreciate this video a lot! Thank you! Does the wall hooks damage the walls in anyway? I have freshly painted walls and dont want to ruin them.
Nice!!!! Thanks a lot
I put this sheet on everything. Thanks bro🥁🥁🙏🏾
😂
@@marcusthomas88thought you might get a kick-drum out of that. 😩😭😊💪🏾💪🏾
Wow surprisingly afordable.
Thanks for the video. Do you think it would work for monitor speakers (7s or 8s) bumping 4/4 house music, quieting the bass for the neighbors on a far connected wall to their basement???
Thank you 😊
Thank you!
Yes!!! I got some curtains!! Omg yes
Marcus! Hey, I have my finger on the trigger to buy a duplex. The basement is where my drums would go, but there's a shared wall with the neighbors. Just wondering to what degree a few layers of these blankets might prevent my neighbors from hearing my drums. Thoughts? Thanks, my friend! God bless you!
So what if it's not for a studio? Will they work to keep from hearing my neighbors next door in my apts..they are soooo loud on both sides of me..I pray they work for that
Can you do a video on how you tune your snare drum?
Thanks dude
This is dope, did you have to order multiples sheets.? How many come in a pack.?
Just subscribed!!!
What is that you used to hang them? What’s the product? Also do they come with the sheets?
To anyone curious. These are not great for soundproofing, they are great for sound deadening. People tend to use these to phrases interchangeably, but they're not. Soundproofing is when you restrict air flow to and from a room to reduce airborne sound. One example of this is insulating your windows. It helps stop air from traveling in either direction, which tends to also make noise on the other side somewhat quieter. Noise deadening, which these blankets, and most moving blankets that weigh at least like 7lbs are great for is trying to make a room quieter by stopping sound from bouncing around. Echo and reverb makes a space louder.
The difference between the two is that one makes your voice sound more isolated without the echo and reverb, while the first one actually makes your room quieter by keeping some sound from getting in in the first place, which helps make your room more consistently quiet.
I appreciate your comment
So if I'm looking to do recordings in my room, would it be noise deadening?
What would one use for a complete soundproofing?
wouldn't it be hot and hard to breath inside if no air?
NRC ratings don't apply to frequencies below 200 Hz or above 2,500Hz, just something to keep in mind.
What is the difference from these blankets to padded moving blankets ?
What if you wanna play your music and amp for a karaoke night? Would that work?
Any advice on where to find a circular curtain rod like the one pictured at 3:06? THANKS!
thank you bro
Excellent Thanks
I wonder if these will help block noise from saws, live in a duplex and work out of the garage.
respects great vid
This watch I been needing bro ....... but Marcus there out of stock right now how long is the wait time?
Does this actually help when you do play your set? Or are they basically used for when you're recording/producing music at lower volumes? Kind of curious, if they would help remove some of the overtones of steel snares and rings from cymbals. Your other videos sound like they did help. Looking to cut a large room in half with these. Thanks
Hi Marcus, so I live in a studio apartment, and I desire to have loud mini parties, will neighbors hear?
Great video! Thanks! What about the ceiling by the way? No blankets or panel either?
