Have fun. I was on a ferry from Folkstone to Calais during rough weather and from Yarmouth Nova Scotia to Portland Maine. Both were rough but I had a cabin during the latter so it was better.

Well I learned something new today, had no idea you could take a ferry from England to Holland. I do remember that northern England has been known for ships and import/export, but Ferries for Fairies (joke) I had no idea. Should have gone for a Commadore/Club class cabin - we could get 2 adults and 3 kids in one. They are a bit like a low-grade cruise cabin. Done that ferry ride a few time ('ull to Rotterdam). First time we made the same mistake and had a cabin like that one - we managed to get both of us into the lower cabin. Last time I went we were lucky enough to get an upgrade once aboard. P&O used to do some good BOGOF deals off season on their mini-cruises. Used to take the kids to Duinrell at Wassenaar - Keegan it's great for kids (if you can live in a mobile home for a week) - self enclosed theme park, huge indoor water park, Amsterdam easy to get too, great beaches and dunes, bike hire (if you don't take your own) etc. Go 2nd half of Aug as it's less crowded as the Dutch are back in school.

I know your normally the one that is correct 😅 but I even checked on google pronunciation and he was right… I just really felt he need a win after the room trauma, 😂. Hope you enjoy the ferry. My husband and I did the Hull-Amsterdam ferry trip in September, visiting family (my brother & his Dutch wife) in the south of the Netherlands near Maastricht. We found the ferry pretty good & our cabins there & back were OK, nothing fancy but adequate. Food on board pretty decent. We didn’t bother with the cinema on bard. Hope you trip is enjoyable. He’s right about Holland/Netherlands 👍. I just saw your cabin with upper/lower bunks. We had twin beds way out on opposite sides of the cabin, on the return trip we had a small double, all comfy. My days of being in a bunk bed are long since over, my husband feels much the same 😉🤣.
@@TheJoelWood Just realised it was the Newcastle-Amsterdam ferry we did in September (DFDS). I did Hull-Zeebrugge I think it was years ago, P&O, not nearly so nice as DFDS. We drove down from Scotland (near Dundee) for our trip, so Newcastle is convenient, although like Hull it’s otherwise a bit of a dump - frankly so is Dundee, but that’s where my husband has to be for work unfortunately, haha 😂

Yeah it was decent for what it was! I think next time we might look into booking a slightly nicer cabin but the food was lovely!
