  • The Primary Wing students of Lotus Valley International School embarked on an exciting journey to commemorate National Space Day on August 23rd. With a range of activities designed to inspire and educate, our students learnt more about the wonders of space exploration, paying tribute to India's remarkable achievements in this field.
    Grade 3: Art Connect
Grade 3 students participated in the ‘Join the Dots’ activity, where they created astronauts and let their creativity soar. The provided printouts sparked their imaginations, allowing each child to bring out their inner artist.
    Grade 4: Draw the Symmetry
Grade 4 students applied their knowledge of symmetry to complete drawings themed around Chandrayaan 3 and space exploration. Their artwork beautifully reflected their understanding of mathematical concepts, blended with creative expression.
    Grade 5: Online Quiz
Grade 5 students took part in an online quiz on the Bharat on the Moon Portal, testing their knowledge of space and earning certificates. This quiz encouraged them to delve deeper into India's space achievements and fueled their curiosity.
To further inspire and enrich our students' understanding of space exploration, we showcased a series of videos in class. These included documentaries on Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of the Indian Space Programme; the Journey of the Indian Space Programme; Gaganyaan, India’s maiden human space mission; the triumphant voyage of Chandrayaan; and the Chandrayaan Utsav, celebrating the first National Space Day.
The National Space Day celebrations at Lotus Valley International School were a resounding success, making learning both fun and engaging. These activities not only honoured India's space achievements but also encouraged our students to envision themselves as the next generation of space pioneers. We look forward to many more such events that will continue to inspire our students to reach for the stars.
