Welcome to the Education field, I teach adaptive technology now since November. I'm glad you're surviving all of this because it can be hard. I remembered my ex breaking up with me many years ago as I met my fiancé which it was hard for two weeks dealing with it even how it happened over the phone which was even earth shattering. Hope things go well for you because everything will look up! Congrats on the job! I know that feeling about putting the degree to good use, I am feeling the same way with mine at the moment and hoping to get a Grad Certificate in the future. CHeers to you!

I do not wish divorce on anyone. It is not easy. Marriage is not easy. The emotions are so hard to deal with. Some days I am fine others I am sad and angry all at the same time.

So sorry to hear that you are going thru so much. As someone who has recently gone thru a divorce (my Ex left me about a year a half ago and our divorce was final about 8 months ago), just know your journey is your own. Your emotions and what you are feeling are valid (whatever they are). I heard from a lot of people that they “knew” what I was feeling. I can imagine they may have understood some of what I felt, but after going thru it what I realized is that no one knew exactly what I felt because some days I didn’t know what I was feeling. So my thoughts are with you and I do know you will get thru this because I know you are a strong woman but whatever you are feeling and wherever your journey takes you - your true friends and family (both IRL and online) will be there for you.
I really don't think anyone can "know" what someone is feeling in any situation of grief. They might be similar feelings, but they are not all 100% the same. I am so lucky to call you a friend Alexa. I have really enjoyed getting to know you through our comment exchanges.

It has a ring of humor to it that Ex doesn’t. If you can find the humor in anything do it. It will make it easier on the people around you. My poor friends. I thoroughly taxed their last nerves when I was wallowing. No matter what, don’t make your mutual friends take sides. I don’t care if your ex is a two-timing death eater. Don’t do it.
