Mantap. Baru nemu saya channel youtube Indonesia yg kontennya tentang machinery tapi videonya buagus, editing rapi, sound nya nggak berantakan, penangkapan gambarnya jelas. Lanjutkan 👍
Ma shaallah that was brilliant, creativity in making your own tools, your machine set up , and employ what's available to do the job on a very high level of skill and accuracy. Thank you that was very enjoyable.
This reminds me of a friend who used to use his little hobby shop shaper and a dividing head to make 8" long gear profiles for his mini lathe. It was back when you could only really get nylon or alloy gear sets, so he decided to make some for his own lathe in steel, and as the amount of work was pretty much the same for an 8" long gear blank as it was for a 1/2" single gear, he just made 17 sets and sold 16 of them on an engineering forum he's a member on. The first 16 sets were all sold within about 45 minutes. After that he'd make about 30 complete sets each year just to sell to the ever expanding list of people who were asking for them on that forum. He once said that he was happy when China finally started selling steel sets, because it meant he "could now quit the tedious job of making these damn things". He only continued making batches of them between other projects because he always had a stack of PM's from other forum members pleading for him to make them a set, and he didn't want to disappoint them.
An elegant workholding solution! I've done gears that way but without the live center to permit using power feed- instead cranked the carriage back and forth by hand doing all the work... going to do it this way next time :)
Really very creative!!! Wow! But....that splined shaft you made, what material is it? The stock looks like ordinairy mild steel? Not suitable for shafts!
He notado que trabajás duro y que has adquirido muchísima experiencia. ¡Felicitaciones!
That's a nice try. But triangular teeth would wear out faster and would have significant backlash. You need to use a different endmill or you can try to grind it to give it a better shape.

You can do the same with a shaper. Or a gear hob. Or a broach. Nice job though. You've basically made your own tool post grinder.
