- Yamaha Keyboard Club Online aims to help you get the most out of your Yamaha Keyboard. In this edition we look at the Smart Pianist App and how you can use it to arrange songs in your music library. This specific tutorial uses a CVP805.
Following along you will arrange the piece Red River Valley, but you can arrange any song from your devices music library.

Does this app work with android Tablet , I have CSP 170 Clavinova?
Hi - I use the smart pianist app to record songs. But then if I want to redo the song using the same accompanying drum and rhythm pattern for example it doesn't tell me what pattern I used on that particular song. Or does it?
If I use the app, select a piece and press play. Will the sound come from the piano or the iPad?
I have a CVP-805. I can get it to connect via bluetooth and play songs in my song library thru the speakers or play RUclips videos thru the speakers, but I cannot get the bluetooth to connect thru the Smart Pianist App. Do you have any suggestions?
Does this app work with CVP 509?

@@YamahaMusicAu that is really helpful. Thank you. I wondered if that was the case. Also, it is my understanding that if I import ANY .midi file into the app, that it will generate sheet music. Is this correct?

I have a HS8 from the late 80s, very little for this instrument, organs seem to be out of favour.
Does this work with the Yamaha PSR EW310?
Hi. I have a Yamaha p515 - the best portable piano Yamaha makes. But I cannot get "Guide" button on the app to play "Lesson" section in teacher mode for Czerny , Hanon and Burgmueller books. I can only see the sheet music but not use built in teaching mechanisms. How can I do this? Do I need to upgrade somehow? I really would like to, similar to FlowKey app I have, also from Yamaha, so that it monitors my performance and corrects it, one or both hands at a time. How can this be done? Thank you.
@@YamahaMusicAu Thank you for your answer. I understand that is where things stand today, but, in principle, the software can be modified to support this piano as well, it seems to me. Flowkey app does work on this top-of-the-line Yamaha portable piano, and other apps provide this function as well on p515. I would like to officially request Yamaha to add this feature for many of us users who paid thousands of dollars for their wonderful Yamaha pianos and would like to be using these features users of other pianos enjoy ! ;-)😀I would be willing to pay for this upgrade on this app...
I just bought the P515 and was looking for this function to use. Doesnt work on my P515; I would be very disappointed if could not get it to work..

I have a Yamana P-125 piano and I'm using the Yamaha smart Pianist app on my apple I pad- when I hit songs Red river Valley I get a message says "When an Audio is selected, the Score cannot be displayed. Is there a way to fix that problem
I get the same as you on my P-121 (same as P-125 but shorter keyboard). It seems that some of the functionality being demonstrated in this video is exclusive to the CSP Clavinova. Are you able with your P-125 to select & control the various rhythm accompaniments? Can't see how to do it on mine (via the app, I mean)

When I try this, I get the following message: “When an audio song is selected, the score cannot be displayed.” I have a new CLP 745. Any advice please?
The app seems very useful, but I don’t find it easy to use at all.
