Hi there, this video was very helpful, however im skeptical because Im not sure how I would install the module without messing something up. Do you guys have a video for that as well?
Godzilla_SoN, Thank you for your question. The older Nissan Altima models are different but should be very similar. When you find it, please reply here and let us know? It will help others that have same question.
Christanya, That code is referring to the actual side airbag on the passenger side. Side airbags are usually located in the pillar or on the outer side of the seat.
Ok so I hit a curb n nothing is messed up but the airbags came out n I put a lil hole in the oil pan ...........WILL IT START IF I TAKE THE MODULE OUT IMMA GET A NEW PAN IT SOUND LIKE A FAN IS ON BUT IT AINT
Shannon, we have a short article on this topic on our help center: myairbags.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012408547-Can-I-drive-my-car-truck-while-the-airbag-module-is-removed-
FitnessQ, If you reply with the actual code we can help narrow down the problem. If there car was in an accident, the reset service we offer will reset the module so you don't have to replace it with a new one. www.myairbags.com/product-category/repair-return/airbag-module-reset/
hi there , i have just a question for you , i have 2012 Nissan Altima coupe 2 doors , 2.5L , i bought it with front steering airbag deployed , i replace front module airbag (driver side) with both seat belts , with scan tools cleared all airbag codes but still have B1209 don't want to clear , what should i do to clear it ?does a used one from an other same car (without accident) resolves the problem? thanx for your help
For airbags it is okay, you can replace them with any other good airbags, they dont need to be programmed. The airbag computer module is the one that needs to be reset and is best to have the original one reset, so you dont need to have it programmed. Also check your seat belts to make sure they are good. If they are stuck, locked or dont work properly, then you can send them to us and we can rebuild them as well. Here is link for airbag module reset www.myairbags.com/product-category/repair-return/airbag-module-reset/ Here is link for seat belt pretensioner repair www.myairbags.com/product-category/repair-return/seat-belt-repair/
I've got a 2014 that was in a wreack I sent everything to y'all an replace wheel airbag but now I still have airbag light on pulled codes b1422 b00a0. What can I do now
G Paul Welch, our tech support team is standing by to look up your order and provide you with help. Our contact info is the the box we shipped you and right at the top of our website: www.myairbags.com
The first step is to diagnose the airbag light. Hook up the scan tool / scanner to the car and read the airbag codes. You connect the scan tool right into the OBD port/plug. Its usually located below the steering wheel, on the left. You are welcome to reply to us with the trouble code that it reads.
Diego Rebuilds, Great question! We have a short article on this on our help page: help.myairbags.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012408547-MyAirbags-Q-A-Can-I-drive-my-car-truck-while-the-airbag-module-is-removed-
Hi Muhammad Waqas, we don't sell the airbags, however if the airbag deployed, you will also need the airbag module (computer) reset and seat belt pretensioners repaired and we can help with those. Our prices are a fraction of what they cost new: www.myairbags.com/product-category/repair-return/airbag-module-reset/
I appreciate the video. It's very informative. However, a video showing a Nissan Altima with a higher trim level would be helpful. On my Nissan there is a HVAC(AC/hot air) tube running down the center console. The center console or the tube has to be removed to access the module. Out of fear of destroying anything, I put everything back together.
@mrjunior1o Thank you posting letting us know about air tube. I'm sure that one was a lot more difficult because of it! In the future, we may do a video on another Altima as well. What was the trim and year on your Altima?
@@MyAirbags Yes more difficult. A good idea for future videos may be to use a higher trim car and explain the differences that can be encountered on lower trim models. My vehicleI is a 2016 Nissan Altima SL. Thank you for your time.
Hi Eli. Im driving a nissan altima 2013. Im the second owner so to be honest i dont know if there is any accident history. Ive been driving the car for the past six months. But the red airbag light (solid not blinking) has came up few days ago. I checked it through an electrician shop and it showed that i have B0020 and B0028 codes. Saying : side A/B module RH & LH. What is that supposed to mean? Thank you
Abdulkader, It seems those codes are referring to the actual airbags. Left side Driver airbag and passenger side, Right Hand side. It may be that they are just plugged in correctly or the airbags themselves are at fault.
I have a 2014 nissan altima 2.5 S. Bought with 75,000 miles, but. Air bag light keeps blinking. Took in to dealer. $180 diagnostic. Code B0020.13. Driver side air bag module. Part 876003THOC 2(A)Dpw. Part Price $1576.56. 2.0 hrs labor $360. Total $1936.56. Non movable Part. What else can I do?
Looks like the driver airbag is bad. Try car-parts.com or ebay.com for driver airbag. If the vehicle was in an accident, then MyAirbags.com could reset the airbag control module and rebuild the seat belts.
My 2013 Nissan Altima has the dash light that will not shut off. This started after Nissan did a recall on the passenger airbag sensor that affects the center dash ie above the radio light. I have not paid much attention but now need to get the car inspected. I have never been in a accident. Can your reset help with this issue?
@vinceleto Its unlikely that the issue is with the module. My guess is its just a loose connection (wire/plug) in the area they worked on. To be sure, you can have the airbag system scanned at the OBDII port using a scan tool that reads airbag trouble codes. The code will tell us where / what area is causing your light to stay on. You can reply on here and let us know what code you get on the scanner. You can also reach directly by phone or email. Our contact info is on our website and also in the description section of this video. Thanks for your question. I hope we can help you diagnose the dash light.
If the car wan't in an accident, then theres no need to send the module for reset. Which module was it that they recommended to replace? The main airbag module is located under the center console. The one under the passenger seat is the passenger presence sensor.
Excellent video. Thank you for serving the community.

Godzilla_SoN, Thank you for your question. The older Nissan Altima models are different but should be very similar. When you find it, please reply here and let us know? It will help others that have same question.
Hi are you able to tell me where my Front right-hand side airbag module is located on my 2008 Nissan Sentra?
Christanya,
That code is referring to the actual side airbag on the passenger side. Side airbags are usually located in the pillar or on the outer side of the seat.
love the videos! really helps me out at home with my projects, keep up the good work guys!(:
Thank you so much for your feedback, Jason. We're glad to hear it helps.

you replaced the airbags which is good. But did you also replace the module?
Yes, the airbag control module needs to be reset, and most likely seat belts need to be repaired. Check out info.myairbags.com/kb

Got a 2018 bmw 330i..I’m trying to locate the srs airbag module..need help please so I can send it to you guys with seat belt
Kirk, the module should be under the center console, all the way on the floor. Sometimes BMW places them under the radio console, on the floor.
You guys are life savers thank you

Can I turn on the car and move it around
