THANK YOU DANNY YOU ARE GOAT AT THIS MAN SINCE I FIRST CAME TO YOUR CHANNEL AND WATCHED THE BOY'S AND MUCH OTHERS YOU'VE NEVER SEEM TO DISAPPOINT ✊🏾👍🏾💯🦸
Can we all just take a minute to recognize the time and effort that Danny puts into his work? Your willingness to cover lesser known comics and bring them to life can not be understated. I am always impressed with your attention to detail and production quality. Little things like the background noise and sounds(in the hospital, "code blue"). Keep up the great job, sir. we appreciate you!
So basically it's Millar's isekai Edit. Also great editing job, this is some comics trailer stuff, really puts you better into the story. If some day there will be Watchmen story cover with such dedicating, I'm all for it.
Proud of you Danny! Been watching you since I was a freshman in college! the highlight of my Sunday mornings is getting one of your videos man! Keep on the good work and don’t give up your awesome!
I have a theory, based purely on what I know from this video and no knowledge of any future events, so I could be WAY off: this isn't the outright after life but a sort of limbo or middle ground to give them a second chance before going to the ACTUAL afterlife. Like what if you are sent to the badlands but actually try to improve and be a better person. There is *ALOT* of grey area on what decides where you end up, your a psycho killer=bad lands or humble saint=the good place but what about the people who just lived an ordinary life? Not bad, not good, just straight middle of the road neutral, what happens to them? Edit: an additional thought that supports my theory: where are all the dead superheros from 1986 or any of the super characters that have died in Millar World? They died a super good/bad person so get VIPed right to the ACTUAL afterlife so the ordinary joes can have a chance to be super to.
I just want to take a minute to say that Danny puts a lot of work into this. We really need to step it up and start dropping some more likes. Get the channel growing again.
Sensational volume!! Beyond the clichés and other details, it really develops such an existential topic very well! I loved the entire heroic cycle, its characters and especially the reinterpretation of the afterlife! (Considering the different cultural interpretations in relation to reincarnation) Life and Death are an absolute mystery, especially reincarnation believes in you. Really great plot twists, message and more! Thank you very much for reviewing such a spiritual epic!
I'd just finished Danny's vid in We Have Demons by Scott Snyder with *art by* Greg Capullo as well and this was next, really enjoy Greg's style, it's so distinct. I always remember the New 52 Batman art, it's so unique and distinct, always recognise his work when I see it.
That the "1st after life" is set in a "battle world", I think was common in warrior religions throughout history. It certainly was for the Vikings, where each days start out like "battle royale" but come dinnertime, everyone is resurrected and they have a great feast in en enourmous dinner hall called Valhall. The next day, it starts over!
I was actually waiting for this video, so while I waited I ended up buying the comics and I enjoyed it. I also enjoyed your thoughts on it, keep up the great work!
I think you missed the idea of the premise altogether. The reason they are all tied to Bonnie and it is this particular fantasy is because it isn't real. It's a dream before death.
I thought that the cat coming back as a humanoid & been able to talk & have those powers & still been neutered was weird but the dog just comes back just a bigger dog was strange. 🤔🤔but at least the dog could speak thru their minds? 🤔🤨
I had the same thought and wondered if it was a play on the old "All dogs go to heaven, most cats go to hell"thing that I heard said after the animated movie came out. Or maybe Millar is just a dog person.
The premise is fine if you take into account that everyone gets one of these worlds where everyone gets to be the central character of the world, based on how you lived. Also, is the medevial time because of Bonnie's own interests?
This book never got a volume 2. I’m curious what the story would be if it did. I have a feeling Reborn might get referenced in his Big Game crossover potentially.
This reminds me of heavy metal. I bet the people from Big Game are gonna end up here and that magic group will be involved because now magic is involved so they can do something about. Also does anyone else get "Heavy Metal" vibes?
wait you can die there?! and people can be born there too?! this is like Supernatural with the monsters getting killed in purgatory, so where do they end up after?! Meh ima go with new born on Earth
I’ve dropped in and out of Millar over the years, I like that his books are usually one-offs so I don’t have to commit to months of videos in a row. Covering some now because of added interest because of Big Game. But I’m moving onto a new non-Millar book this Sunday.
So...he was 3 when he got there but remembers his daughter. The place is bigger then Earth but they're enemies are in eyesight. He still cant find his wife who probably is around the same age as the father for plot but he's probably not even thinking she could be any age.
It doesn't matter her new looks, as the pet cannot find her either, yet. The pets don't care about looks. It's very likely he just settled down next to the dark place since he probably had others die to them and he is a warrior
This was painful to listen to. Every YA (young adult.) fantasy trope he could think of. I’m 41 minutes in and I seriously do not care about any of these characters. The only thing that is holding my interest is the brilliant artwork by Greg Caputo. Old fashion, storytelling, character, design, backgrounds that are not overly cartoony or over rendered, and a clear, controlling the pacing by all the other tricks of the trade. Mark made so much money off of that Netflix deal that he can afford to hire the best in the business to illustrate story concepts that would have never been pulled out of the slush pile if he was an unknown writer. I’m going to fast forward this to see what the ending is and how it ties into the story of the elderly schoolteacher dying. If I like the ending, I’ll go back and finish watching the video for more of Greg’s artwork.
hey all i have to say is Valhalla. lol let the medieval land of D&D with future tech be.. Great video once again. Have you ever read Birthright? or Oblivion Song?

My guy here, has real comic content
Always covering the best comics nobody else talks about

Yo, Huck is going to be unstoppable when he gets there

Hearing Capullo was the artist this caught my attention, I’m gonna check this one out!

What a coincidence that i was just reading this earlier, and then i find out you uploaded a video on it today.
Thank you for your work. Excellent content. You are very talented, Sir.
Another impressive video Danny! I really appreciate the effort you put into the character cards, very well formatted!
Danny I fucking love your videos dude especially your coverage of the MM verse

Always excited when you drop something...random thght....this art makes me think of Venture Brothers

Great Job Danny boy! Love your channel!
Im here on a weekly basis❤
Thank you
This Comic feels like it was written by an AI machine that has been trained in Mark Miller's writing style.
I love this series dude, thank you so much!...
I’m 25 minutes in. At the start of issue 3.
My prediction is that there is gonna be a massive plot twist soon.
They all have an orgy party?
Love your content man. You definitely made me pick up a lot of Mark Millar.
Thanks Danny
I think I generally agree with your conclusions 👌
I tend to clown you for being a goof, but Well done DANNYMALT! Those transitions and extra touches to the video were fantastic. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for this vid. I needed a refresher after reading Big Game and having a friend say "what about the Reborn verse??"
dude id lose my shit if you covered kickass fully
Great video! I always wondered for these videos are the comics you read web comics, or physical comics?
The one thing I liked a lot is the killing General Frost. The series seems ok not much surprises.
I think you missed the idea of the premise altogether. The reason they are all tied to Bonnie and it is this particular fantasy is because it isn't real. It's a dream before death.

ill be suprised if Reborn comes up in The Big game.
I'm surprised Millar wrote an American "Isekai". Haha
You got to do Superman Red Son
Oh for god's sake. Mark Millar has written so many books I'm getting scared now.
It would have been interesting if Harry was Lord Golgotha
Will you do a vol 2 if the is one? I do share the majority of ur final thoughts
This book never got a volume 2. I’m curious what the story would be if it did. I have a feeling Reborn might get referenced in his Big Game crossover potentially.
I’ve been watching all the Millar movies. Kings man is the best, followed by kick ass. Wanted wasn’t as brutal as the comic but decent movie
May be the dead heros from big game will return because of reborn
This reminds me of heavy metal. I bet the people from Big Game are gonna end up here and that magic group will be involved because now magic is involved so they can do something about. Also does anyone else get "Heavy Metal" vibes?
I’m pretty sure that a code blue a heart attack
It's the old there's as many heavens as there are people to dream them theory
I thought Walter would be the main villain (Jupiters Legacy)
wait you can die there?! and people can be born there too?! this is like Supernatural with the monsters getting killed in purgatory, so where do they end up after?! Meh ima go with new born on Earth
bro make videos on lucifer comic books (sandman spin of one) if it could possible then make videos on other spin offs of the series
Good story remind me I read in college called the five people you meet in heaven Mix with the Lord of the rings
Love your videos but why so many Millar comics?
I’ve dropped in and out of Millar over the years, I like that his books are usually one-offs so I don’t have to commit to months of videos in a row. Covering some now because of added interest because of Big Game. But I’m moving onto a new non-Millar book this Sunday.

My review at the end kind of agrees with you. I have problems with the story, but there is no denying Greg’s artwork is amazing.
You have to cover a comic named dark
I just noticed... this is basically a isekai anime.... without trunkun
the cat thing was so dumb but i’d be pissed if someone cut my balls off too
and quintuple pissed if I got a buff brand new body after death, but still no balls!
hey all i have to say is Valhalla. lol let the medieval land of D&D with future tech be.. Great video once again. Have you ever read Birthright? or Oblivion Song?
You going to keep avoiding 100 Bullets?
Yes. Cause it will take me 3-4 months to cover it all (13 volumes, 100 issues).
@@dannymalt That would be some damn good content, lol. Do some of that, cut out, then do another series if that is how you do it.
Wow 🤩 nice 👍 anima shine 7:21

Mrs. = Missus. Meaning married. Not Miss. Miss= Ms.
It was ok
Mark miller is cool and all but Mike Mignola would be dope
Bonnie's HOT!!
Did I hear isekai!
Frank frazzeta....but bad...
Isekai
He's pronouncing it wrong, it's pronounced "Adystria" . I know this because I heard the creator say it in an interview.
