I think the natural progression is at this point we’ve had a robotic threat, a hollow earth threat, the next locally would be a titan genetically grown titan so Biollante would make sense, I’m happy there adding more depth to the human characters but I do wish they didn’t keeping rotating the characters I loved Dr Andrews, Trapper, Bernie and Jia but as long as they are good I’m happy

Theory - Ghidorah confirmed extra terrestrial life exists and more and more titans are being introduced. We could see an alien invasion from a race that sent Ghidorah. They limely expected him to remove or subjigate all life giving the aliens a planet to easily settle, but instead they find their monster dead and life still teaming. So in frustatrion they unleash more - good way to introduce titans like Gigan, Megalon, Hedorah, Destroyer, or all new beasties. G is out matched , even calling on all Earths titans, so begrudgingly calls on Kong and kin and other Hollow Earth titans. Could end up being Legendarys take on Destroy All Monsters / Final Wars.

Kong has had the limelight in two movies I think it's time for Godzilla to take center stage and just have Kong be there when Godzilla needs some extra muscle.
Maybe this new film will be a mix of KOTM and GxK, where Kong takes a similar role to Mothra (KOTM) who helps Godzilla face the antogonist. I think the two mostly likely antagonists to come next are either Destoroyah or Biollante, and maybe SpaceGodzilla. Reasons being that we've already had multiple teases for them in the MV (except Biollante, but she could make sense as either a man-made organic Titan as teased in KOTM end credits or as an already existing creature in the Hollow Earth). I'm hoping it's SpaceGodzilla because I feel that he would be a threat and a challenge to both Kong and Godzilla due to his extraterrestrial origins (assuming that doesn't get changed) and the energizing crystals he could power off of in the Hollow Earth.
I’m all for Godzilla getting the spotlight back. I do respect Kong too, but he should be relegated to focusing on his new role as the leader of an ape tribe whilst Godzilla continues handling monsters on the surface world until he’s faced with a powerful opponent that’ll really push him to his limits. As for the humans, I’m just hoping their roles will be well written and impactful for the story.

I'm expecting a space Titan. I feel like they could explore that, specially because of Ghidorah, it would make sense if Monarch starts to speculate the existence of more extraterrastrial Titans besides Ghidorah.
I hope Kaylee Hottle and Rebecca Hall at least make a cameo appearance with Kong if not that truly sucks 😔💯. Sounds really interesting, can't wait for more updates on GxK 3.
I’m really glad they’re making Godzilla more of a focus, because ever since KOTM, he’s just been displayed as some rabid monster who’s just a killing machine. In kotm he was so obviously meant to be seen as more and rooted for.
I know everyone wants a Godzilla solo film, but just think about it, in the last film we had Godzilla getting a new form, to make him stronger, which also means: becoming more OP, more than he was already getting, so, if they are going to introduce a threat that can be really challeging to an OP Godzilla, he'll need help once again, so its very unlikley this will be a solo film

It's not that they don't want to do it, Toho's ridiculous recent restrictions are making it harder for Legendary to do so. Even if they did want to do it, they'll have to follow Toho's new rules which is just ludicrous. So, I suggest that you at least be thankful that Godzilla is still in the Monsterverse and he at least has a role

Happy to hear that Godzilla will finally have a centralized story based around him. Though I don’t agree with the cast change, I find Jia and Illene, especially now with Bernie and Trapper to be more than Kong’s human cast of characters at this point. We’ll see how this next group of characters will be for the next MV film. Just hope to stick with Godzilla and have more scenes with him and less about Kong, even though I would’ve liked a solo film instead. I don’t mind, Sonic 4 shouldn’t be able to affect Godzilla X Kong 2 if the stories good and I guess Legendary could also delay the films release.
I wouldn't worry about Sonic 4 coming out at the same time as GxK3 and it effecting its performance. Not only because the monsterverse is massively popular anyway but also because Kung Fu Panda 4 and Godzilla x Kong the new empire came out at the same time. Kung Fu Panda is of course a massively popular animated franchise and the 4th film had a lot of hype and despite both films releasing at the same time they still both made half a billion dollars so it'll be fine
I really want the monsterverse to branch out to other titans other than kong and godzilla, i dont hate any of them but give us a films on mothra or rodan make the monsterverses universe feel more like a universe where things happen out side of what kong and godzilla do
Sadly that's never going to happen. A Monsterverse Rodan solo film would be the first movie to make a total of 8 dollars. It would be a massive financial loss for Legendary and they know that.
Unfortunately Mothra and Rodan haven't been built up to have their own stand alone films. We've only focused on lizard and monkey and Legendary knows that is what will make them the most money. It's why we got new empire in the first place, because money.

I want to see a Godzilla focused film with a Toho monster returning as the villain (preferably Biollante or orga) but I do also really want to see kongs empire now that he’s king of his kind. I hope we get to see both stories but in the end Godzilla is the main character and finally has more than 10 minutes of screen time. I also hope they don’t kill either off because it would be nice to see more solo movies of Kong and Godzilla
Kong had enough time in the Monsterverse spotlight. It's now his turn to take a back seat to let Godzilla have his rule. It ALL started with Godzilla for ALL of us. Godzilla should show some more character development in the next movie as much as he showed in recent Monsterverse comics, especially Dominion. Even if it means we get MORE human character development again.
5:40 I’m definitely looking forward to both Sonic Movie 4 and the Godzilla x Kong sequel. Fun Fact: Sonic Movie 3 has Sonic mention Godzilla when he, Tails, and Knuckles are about to jump out of a helicopter into Tokyo. And Sonic Movie 3 came out in 2024, during Godzilla’s 70th anniversary.

@@CarnagePlays1 all for Godzilla and his species. For one is that Godzilla can’t die nor can he eat humans or become an enemy of mankind. Another is that Gojira species can’t carry over to the monsterverse effectively banning space Godzilla and adding more gojira’s as either allies or enemies, that’s why they made humans being able to create monsters so in order for space Godzilla to carry over then humans have to create him. This is also why they initially got rid of the Zo zla howla who was a Gojira who went mad after eating a star that it took both gojira’s and kongs to lock away in hollow earth but they cut it out because of toho’s restrictions and changed it to “the monster who ate a star” In GxK And gave it to Godzilla.

@@CarnagePlays1 destroyah is a special case because he was created by the oxygen destroyer dissolving Godzillas DNA into sea creatures if I remember correctly and the oxygen destroyer was already used in the monsterverse and it hit Godzilla and Ghidorah which (speculating) mixing both Godzillas and ghidorah’s DNA into sea creatures or one sea creature as Godzilla tore off one of his heads in the water and it would also explain how destroyah is able to regenerate instead of just blatantly giving him regeneration and in the old toho films it took destroyah 42 years to evolve after taking in Godzillas DNA so that explains why they haven’t added him in any movies in the timeline yet and plus they have to make Godzilla stronger. As for biollante? It could be made the same way it was made back then but from either a monarch failed experiment or some terrorists who was the ones who found one of ghidorah’s old head and gave it to apex for mecha Godzilla, it was stated in one of the novels that there are a lot of ghidorah heads just lying around earth too so ghidorah isn’t really truly dead right now either as all he needs a one cell to come back. but I doubt monarch would do it because they’ve learn not to mess with things they don’t understand. Space Godzilla would have to be created too.
@ so Destroyah is possible but too early because of the years (not enough time has past yet), Biollante could get Created maybe for GXK Sequel? And Space Godzilla also has to be created and can’t just come out of the Vortex right? So that would be really hard to do since they can’t use any other Godzillas right? 🤔 in this case for me personally Biollante would make the most sense to use in the Sequel, as much as I appreciate Original Titans … Scar King was for me very disappointing Shimo was great tho ^^ , but yeah I’d love to see some OGs back for once now that we got Mothra back I hope we can see some more OGs or even Rodan return :)
Kong's arc is finished, side content is where he needs to be for more fleshed out Kong stuff, as much as our hopes are on a Godzilla focused movie, if Kong's in the picture it'll always focus on him and I'm slowly getting tired of it despite my love of both. Also Soniczilla is already being coined by fans so I think they'll be fine, it's in line with how Doom and Animal Crossing released together, both movies are going to do great

As much as we want that, you can blame Toho for preventing them to do so. Their new rules are ridiculous to say the least, even if Legendary does want to do another Godzilla focused film, they'd have to comply with Toho's new rules which would be a pain in the ass. On top of that, considering KOTM's flop, that also adds another problem to the equation, do they want to risk another flop at this time? No, of course not. While I do agree Godzilla should get more focus, at the same time, we should also be thankful he's even in the Monsterverse to begin with and that he's still relevant

As much as i love the big monkey we need a godzilla focused movie but i have a idea on how they can include kong and jia (idk if thats how you spell her name) So mabey twords the middle of the movie they have godzilla face this world ending threat like in kotm with the arctic fight but he gets his butt handed to him and jia and the other human king characters go down to the hollow earth to kong tribe and ask him for help but kong would sign "i cant leave my kind alone i cant looks my species again" but at the end of the film kong shows up to help this would be a good way to include kong but not have it be a kong movie
More human-centered? I sure hope Legendary doesn't forget how good GxK was without them trying to make the humans compelling, and how poor their human characters have been since after GvK. I want Godzilla to fight Gigan in the next film. It would continue ghidorah’s legacy in this universe as in the showa era, Gigan would often be controlled by the same civilisation and tag along with ghidorah so it could bring aliens or just hint more towards it. I just love Gigan in general too. Make him have new attack features like his buzzsaw chest being able to launch out and magnetise back similar to shredder from the live action tmnt movie.
We finally get rid of Wingard, we can finally have a respectable villain again and not let his fanboyism towards Godzilla prevent Godzilla from actually having a challenge.
I just hope the next film is Godzilla-focused and Kaitlyn’s character having a close connection to him like Madison Russell, Miki Saegusa, and Tina Llewellyn from the Godzilla 1994 script, which never got filmed.
With the exception of Skull island, the human storyline was the weakest part of the monserversse movies so i am not thrilled to hear they want to focus more on humans.

I’m really glad they’re making Godzilla more of a focus, because ever since KOTM, he’s just been displayed as some rabid monster who’s just a killing machine. In kotm he was so obviously meant to be seen as more and rooted for.

I know everyone wants a Godzilla solo film, but just think about it, in the last film we had Godzilla getting a new form, to make him stronger, which also means: becoming more OP, more than he was already getting, so, if they are going to introduce a threat that can be really challeging to an OP Godzilla, he'll need help once again, so its very unlikley this will be a solo film

It's not that they don't want to do it, Toho's ridiculous recent restrictions are making it harder for Legendary to do so. Even if they did want to do it, they'll have to follow Toho's new rules which is just ludicrous. So, I suggest that you at least be thankful that Godzilla is still in the Monsterverse and he at least has a role
Because it makes the most money. Having the two most popular monsters in history of cinema having a trilogy of teaming up and fighting other monsters together makes more money than a stand alone Godzilla movie

@@shanewalters2565 this was never about Toho. This was because Kong is more profitable than Godzilla because Kong skull Island made money than Godzilla 2014 they’re just putting in Kong because he makes more money.
Happy to hear that Godzilla will finally have a centralized story based around him. Though I don’t agree with the cast change, I find Jia and Illene, especially now with Bernie and Trapper to be more than Kong’s human cast of characters at this point. We’ll see how this next group of characters will be for the next MV film. Just hope to stick with Godzilla and have more scenes with him and less about Kong, even though I would’ve liked a solo film instead. I don’t mind, Sonic 4 shouldn’t be able to affect Godzilla X Kong 2 if the stories good and I guess Legendary could also delay the films release.

I wouldn't worry about Sonic 4 coming out at the same time as GxK3 and it effecting its performance. Not only because the monsterverse is massively popular anyway but also because Kung Fu Panda 4 and Godzilla x Kong the new empire came out at the same time. Kung Fu Panda is of course a massively popular animated franchise and the 4th film had a lot of hype and despite both films releasing at the same time they still both made half a billion dollars so it'll be fine

Sadly that's never going to happen. A Monsterverse Rodan solo film would be the first movie to make a total of 8 dollars. It would be a massive financial loss for Legendary and they know that.

Unfortunately Mothra and Rodan haven't been built up to have their own stand alone films. We've only focused on lizard and monkey and Legendary knows that is what will make them the most money. It's why we got new empire in the first place, because money.

I want to see a Godzilla focused film with a Toho monster returning as the villain (preferably Biollante or orga) but I do also really want to see kongs empire now that he’s king of his kind. I hope we get to see both stories but in the end Godzilla is the main character and finally has more than 10 minutes of screen time. I also hope they don’t kill either off because it would be nice to see more solo movies of Kong and Godzilla

Kong had enough time in the Monsterverse spotlight. It's now his turn to take a back seat to let Godzilla have his rule. It ALL started with Godzilla for ALL of us. Godzilla should show some more character development in the next movie as much as he showed in recent Monsterverse comics, especially Dominion. Even if it means we get MORE human character development again.

For one is that Godzilla can’t die nor can he eat humans or become an enemy of mankind.
Another is that Gojira species can’t carry over to the monsterverse effectively banning space Godzilla and adding more gojira’s as either allies or enemies, that’s why they made humans being able to create monsters so in order for space Godzilla to carry over then humans have to create him.
This is also why they initially got rid of the Zo zla howla who was a Gojira who went mad after eating a star that it took both gojira’s and kongs to lock away in hollow earth but they cut it out because of toho’s restrictions and changed it to “the monster who ate a star”
In GxK And gave it to Godzilla.

@@CarnagePlays1 destroyah is a special case because he was created by the oxygen destroyer dissolving Godzillas DNA into sea creatures if I remember correctly and the oxygen destroyer was already used in the monsterverse and it hit Godzilla and Ghidorah which (speculating) mixing both Godzillas and ghidorah’s DNA into sea creatures or one sea creature as Godzilla tore off one of his heads in the water and it would also explain how destroyah is able to regenerate instead of just blatantly giving him regeneration and in the old toho films it took destroyah 42 years to evolve after taking in Godzillas DNA so that explains why they haven’t added him in any movies in the timeline yet and plus they have to make Godzilla stronger.
As for biollante? It could be made the same way it was made back then but from either a monarch failed experiment or some terrorists who was the ones who found one of ghidorah’s old head and gave it to apex for mecha Godzilla, it was stated in one of the novels that there are a lot of ghidorah heads just lying around earth too so ghidorah isn’t really truly dead right now either as all he needs a one cell to come back.
but I doubt monarch would do it because they’ve learn not to mess with things they don’t understand.
Space Godzilla would have to be created too.
@ so Destroyah is possible but too early because of the years (not enough time has past yet), Biollante could get Created maybe for GXK Sequel? And Space Godzilla also has to be created and can’t just come out of the Vortex right? So that would be really hard to do since they can’t use any other Godzillas right? 🤔 in this case for me personally Biollante would make the most sense to use in the Sequel, as much as I appreciate Original Titans … Scar King was for me very disappointing Shimo was great tho ^^ , but yeah I’d love to see some OGs back for once now that we got Mothra back I hope we can see some more OGs or even Rodan return :)
Kong's arc is finished, side content is where he needs to be for more fleshed out Kong stuff, as much as our hopes are on a Godzilla focused movie, if Kong's in the picture it'll always focus on him and I'm slowly getting tired of it despite my love of both.
Also Soniczilla is already being coined by fans so I think they'll be fine, it's in line with how Doom and Animal Crossing released together, both movies are going to do great

As much as we want that, you can blame Toho for preventing them to do so. Their new rules are ridiculous to say the least, even if Legendary does want to do another Godzilla focused film, they'd have to comply with Toho's new rules which would be a pain in the ass. On top of that, considering KOTM's flop, that also adds another problem to the equation, do they want to risk another flop at this time? No, of course not. While I do agree Godzilla should get more focus, at the same time, we should also be thankful he's even in the Monsterverse to begin with and that he's still relevant

So mabey twords the middle of the movie they have godzilla face this world ending threat like in kotm with the arctic fight but he gets his butt handed to him and jia and the other human king characters go down to the hollow earth to kong tribe and ask him for help but kong would sign "i cant leave my kind alone i cant looks my species again" but at the end of the film kong shows up to help this would be a good way to include kong but not have it be a kong movie

More human-centered? I sure hope Legendary doesn't forget how good GxK was without them trying to make the humans compelling, and how poor their human characters have been since after GvK. Also, I still can't wrap my head around so many Godzilla fans not being able to appreciate Kong. Are you fans of the character or the franchise?

I’d certainly be down for seeing Sonic and then Godzilla. Two good franchises that I’ve got nostalgia for both.
I think the new main antagonist of this film will be a man made kaiju created by mankind and is designed to kill off all the titans around the planet and in the hollow earth, including Godzilla and Kong.
Also, I think this film will be Godzilla focused. Give Kong a break and let him take care of his civilization!!!!

Godzilla is peak cinema yh, but Sonic is literally known by every single individual in this planet, and with the hype that Sonic 3 brought, Sonic 4 is bound to be way more successful.

I want Godzilla to fight Gigan in the next film. It would continue ghidorah’s legacy in this universe as in the showa era, Gigan would often be controlled by the same civilisation and tag along with ghidorah so it could bring aliens or just hint more towards it. I just love Gigan in general too. Make him have new attack features like his buzzsaw chest being able to launch out and magnetise back similar to shredder from the live action tmnt movie.

I just hope the next film is Godzilla-focused and Kaitlyn’s character having a close connection to him like Madison Russell, Miki Saegusa, and Tina Llewellyn from the Godzilla 1994 script, which never got filmed.
With the exception of Skull island, the human storyline was the weakest part of the monserversse movies so i am not thrilled to hear they want to focus more on humans.
