Love you video Whitney runs and riffs, Inflection and growls is perfectly set I couldn't pull this song off in that style, Anything she sings most people have a really hard time trying to pull it off the only way possible is if they change it to fit their vocals l style.

Not sure if this reaction was blocked but for some reason it has just appeared on my screen. The reaction you have made recently 'All the man I need' by Whitney Huston is still blocked. I hope they will unblock it soon. Anyway, thank you, Bryden. Whitney is definitely one of these 'artists of all times', isn't; she? It is pleasure to listen to her, and it is pleasure to listen and see your reaction, Bryden. Your love for music speaks to my love of music although all I can do for music is to listen and admire, ha ha ha .. Thank you, Bryden.

Clive Davis was trying to make Whitney Houston sound like a bubble gum pop singer that was the real controversy over this performance people were pissed and thought she sold out to the music industry because Clive is racist and always telling black female artists to stop singing like a black woman and didn't want them to sound black at all, which is sickening. She has gospel roots and is black so will sing in the way she was taught. I really couldn't stand Clive , Whitney was tired of him after this song too when she saw how people reacted that's why for the later 80s and 90s she started really adding her own inflection and style on her songs.

What are you talking about? She doesn't sound like a "bubble gum pop singer" in this performance, nor is this a "bubble gum pop" song. Strange that you supposedly know about " gospel roots" but can't recognize that this amazing song is an R&B slow jam. R&B has its roots in traditional blues, jazz, folk, AND GOSPEL. There was no controversy over this performance. I remember it and everyone loved it and praised Whitney. I don't understand why you are trying to rewrite the narrative. Additionally, maybe you can enlighten us on what it means to "sound black." No one ever tried to get Whitney to sound any other way than the God-given voice she was blessed with because everyone recognized her talent and knew it would be foolish to try to change her voice or way of singing. Clive certainly knew Whitney was perfect as she was. That's why he signed her.
