@@santiinx737 I've been trying to spread awareness for a while that the wayback machine only allows us to view all of this media that would be lost because old forums and websites allow that. The wayback machine doesn't work with Discord, so any communities (of which there seem to be a tonne) that use Discord should be expected to become lost media unless someone is actively archiving (of which there seem to be very few). People are unknowingly creating a modern-day Library of Alexandria. The fact that there are *lost media communities* that use Discord blows my mind. tl;dr Discord is dog shit spyware that creates lost media and you shouldn't use it if possible. Please inform community administrators of this and try to convince them to switch to forum software.
Jaleco has been re-releaseing thier Famicom and NES games on Nintendo Switch via a new "Jalecolle" label and during one of thier streams mentioned "expect some surprises" wouldn't suprise me if they're just sitting on the Booby the dog Rom waiting to release it under the Jalecolle label, I'm grateful the Jalecolle label exists too because I doubt we'd see Hidden Gems like Pizza Pop (announced to be coming) come to switch otherwise
Not only that, but it could still very well see an official cartridge release on the NES/Famicom if they do indeed still have the rom, since Retro-bit has a good working relationship with the current Jaleco IP holders.
Stranger things have happened - I was surprised that Nintendo released Star Fox 2 on the SNES mini. It seems like companies are finally becoming aware of the fact that people want to play these unreleased games. Take this with a pinch of salt, but I heard this sort of prototype-hunting and rom dumping and such is incredibly frowned upon in Japan, which has an impact. Like, it's culturally taboo to do this shit or talk about it, for whatever reason. Here in the west people are definitely rompilled and protopilled lol.
The game footage stream of the Baseball game being lost is definitely one of those "Aw come ON" type moments You mean to tell me that nobody who was watching that thought "Yeah, I should record this footage of this lost game being played" But then again, it might've been Japan only and they have weird copyright laws
2:55 Hey, don't disrespect Yoshi on NES, I like that game.. 1:55 You never know, maybe they could have done a River City Ransom type thing and made A punch, B kick, and A+B jump.
jaleco rocked back then. r-type III was a masterpiece. it deserves a sequel. r-type final and beyond are terrible. the bosses stopped looking awesome and became gross and weird.
@@marcusbullock630 Irem actually created and own R-Type. Jaleco didn’t have anything to do with the series other than releasing R-Type III in North America.
I think the game was canceled due to the name alone. It feels as if it's forbidden to talk about female breasts in public like this; they're just not kid friendly.
That has literally nothing to do with it. Two reasons, first Japan wouldn't care because they don't think of the word the same way the west does. Japan hardly knows what english words even mean in the first place, and they mostly think this one just means "silly" or "funny". And if you're talking about the west, they would have just renamed it to something like "The Adventures Of Barkus McToony" or something.
@@sirprower Yeah. I don’t have anything to say about them. It’s not creating lost media, it’s just Sega being one of the stupidest companies on the planet again.
First game is basically a specific Tom and Jerry Cartoon, heck in the west they could reskin it as such given the proper license
Tot Watchers but as a game~
Couldve skinned iit as roger rabbit and that baby with the cigar.

I hope this channel never becomes Lost Media.
It is likely to be lost media when RUclips dies

Also you just blew my mind… City Connection owns the Jaleco library …. Jaleco created City Connection
1:00 Why hello there Upa~
Also looking at this game feels like it could have been a massive inspiration to Buttons and Mindy from Animaniacs.

Continuing my streak of never getting my hands on Booby.
that's some great animation .especially for a famicon title.
I love Booby
I own City Connection. It's either not a cancelled game, or I own something very valuable.
I've seen this game before in my life at stores over 30 years ago.
@ChristopherSobieniak I didn't realize that Jaleco's spinoff company is also named City Connection.

Like I said in the video, I doubt it, because a game called Booby Kids released for the Famicom before.
