One of my all time favorite songs. I've been trying to look for other material by Aidan Baker that are 20 minute long epic drone post-rock masterpieces like this, what album is the best for these by him (other than The Sea Swells A Bit)?
I highly recommend Oneiromancer, especially the limited edition with the live disc of untitled tracks... easily my favorite Aidan Baker release. I can't seem to find any of the songs from that album here in yt, though.
Try Nadja, the album Ruins of Mourning. This is his other side project that tends to be more dissonant and heavy, but Ruins is a pair of 20 minute tracks which are very slow and incredibly mellow. There is a "heavy" moment but it retains its ambience.
This is so great. Field Of Drones(brokenspineprods.bandcamp.com/album/field-of-drones) is similar to this. Dog Fox Gone To Ground,Green And Gold, Loop Studies, all great CDs too. His newer stuff (Exoskeleton Heart, Already Drowning, and a lot more) is good too, but different than this.
Fine, Mr. Baker, make fun of my reviews, even if they were positive ones. Helps me not feel so guilty about not owning any albums and listening to your stuff online! You don't deserve my money if you are going to poke fun about a review that was a good write up. By the way, I've been listening to various ambient music for well over a decade now, some of your releases are simply not that great. Hard to imagine, isn't it? Dick.
I've solved numerous inner problems whilst meditating to this, perfect length, perfect sound.
Always I enjoy this album... my traveling my static character
