Absolutely agree. Though I don’t think Roa counts as much of a rival. I know he is best friend as well but I think Luke is the rival, they dueled 4 times and Yuga only beat him at the very end and was quite happy for it. Yuga was Roa’s rival not the other way around

Varis/Revolver is arguably the best rival after Kaiba because he turned out to be right in the long run. His methods of dealing with AI (blowing up the internet and forcing everyone back into an analog world) were wrong, but he was right on the mark in predicting that AI would try to destroy everyone.
Kite is def my favorite, he did loads of wrongdoings but overall saved people from control of the numbers, and all in the name of saving his brother. The way he learned to duel for more than just his brother was so heartwarming, and the execution of that moment where he activated XYZ Double Back was so perfect (I say this because Kite was never shown to revive his monsters much, unlike Yuma, who's strategy revolved around reviving Utopia if fallen, Kite using this card shows how he became more like Yuma from this duel, and how he changed from Enemy to friend)

I consider Shark the Best Friend. He helped Yuma constantly not because he felt like he owed him, but because Shark genuinely cared about Yuma. When Yuma beat Shark in their final duel, it mentally and emotionally broke Yuma. Contrast that with Kite, whom Yuma challenged at the end of season 1 merely to see who was better. Yuma had a deep respect for Kite, but the two weren't as emotionally invested in their friendship like Shark and Yuma.

As a Go Rush viewer, i would put Zwijo(The last one) as perfect. Starts as the main antagonist, then as an anti-hero, again as the main antagonist and finally as a friendly rival. And i think having a deep voice in japanese would also be for the rivals(Kaiba, Jack, Declan, Varis and Zwijo).

Kaiba has never beaten Atem in a duel fairly at all. Doesn't make him any less his rival. Hell, Chazz is basically the strongest rival Jaden has by the end of GX, since Zane can't duel and he beats Aster. Jaden has multiple rivals across GX, and Chazz is one of em.
