      @@timothyskidmore1554I think it’s rather interesting to make the Number Hunter treat the Numbers he has won as a means to an end. It showed that he wasn’t going to be like prior duelists Yuma won against, who relied on their Numbers to get them through. Top this off with Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon being the perfect antithesis of most Xyz monsters, and you have a good opening duel to a new character. And this is further cemented by Astral and Yuma being shook by that duel for a good few episodes afterwards.

    Shun is the hero equivalent of the unhinged villain. Guy is merciless, efficient and fueled by nothing but cold rage. He's like the Punisher of the Yugioh series. The way he exposed Sora live on stream and cared so little about Action Duels being fun and entertaining that he was willing to murder his opponent by carpet bombing the city and dropping a whole building on him made the Standard Dimension arc of Arc-V one of the best arcs in all the series. It went from happy-go-lucky to deadly serious incredibly quickly.
    And then he did it AGAIN against Dennis! "I don't care about this Friendship Cup nor the whole social dynamic of the Synchro Dimension. Eat this satellite laser!"

    Yuri vs Yusho duel school students (his first proper duel against 5 fusion users and destroying them savagely with Starving Venom is really cool. I love how he’s just disinterested in the Ojama user)
    Yuya and Reiji vs Leo Akaba (Although we joke about Leo a lot but we can’t deny that the build up to him was really good and when we finally see him duel, he completely dominates most of the duel and actually makes Reiji, one of the most powerful Duelists of the series struggle and if was just a father vs son duel, Leo likely would’ve won if that had happened)

Yugo was undefeated up until that point and Rin comes in and destroys his D-wheel and his hopes and dreams in a almost completely one-sided duel and she actually got the win. Very badass. The only downside with this impressive debut duel is Rin do nothing else for the remainder of Arc-V and so this storyline was over before it began.

    My favourite part about Ai vs Queen was Ai's nonchalance towards everything.
    Queen sets up this nearly 'unbreakable formation', and when questions Ai asking if he seriously thinks he can break it, his response is just "sure, it'll be easy." Then she cheats & activates one of the most busted skills in Vrains, and Ai's response to that, after calling her out for cheating, is basically just 'oh no, anyway...' - he dominates her so badly that he effortlessly plays around her skill _during the Battle Phase_ and just proceeds to clap her as if she didn't just go back to 4000 & set any Trap Card in existence (which can also be activated that turn).

And I honestly completely forgot that Aoi hit her face in the floor but Ed's loss to Manjoume of all people was already humiliating, but losing to ojama yellow showed how the writers didn't care about Ed at all after Season 2. After that season, arguably one of the strongest duelists who beat Judai, Kaiser and DD became a bigger jobber than Aoi Zaizen.

Second, I guess I'll get around to watching Sevens after that and go from there, even though I kinda gave up on the anime when Vrains was cut short. It's also a shame that Pegasus technically dueled Yugi so early on because I feel that the Pegasus/Kaiba duel was his real introduction as a duelist. Finally, justice for Shun. He didn't deserve to lose to Crow, Kaito or Yuya.

    Quick fun fact, some people think that shingo is a terrible duelist especially because of this duel despite him making the best moves he could with the hand he was given, he burned through his hand but still the best with what he had, it's the logic of you lost once so you're bad that is mostly seen in anime...

    • @BlizzardLuinor
      @BlizzardLuinor Год назад +1

      Kaito is also my favorite Yugioh Character of all time and also what kind of ideas for Yuto and the other Yu-boys did you have in mind?
      I always wanted things to be like this instead:
      Yuya: The Protagonist
      Yuto: The Deuteragonist/Main Rival
      Yugo: The Tritagonist
      Yuri: The Antagonist

    • @SpecsTube
      @SpecsTube Год назад +1

      @@BlizzardLuinor In case, you still wanted to know my ideas for the Yu-boys in ARC-V, here they are:
      The first thing is I would've changed how the Yu-boys interacted/merged. How Yuya and Yuto were managed up to episode 37 was fine. After Yugo defeats Yuto, instead of physically merging, Yuya and Yuto should've just mentally/telepathically merged. I'd still have Yuto lose his duel disk but Yuto would still have his deck and be holding his Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. Yuya and Yuto would have their moment but although we see Yuto give Dark Rebellion to Yuya, I’d still have them faint beside each other with their dragons touching. Yuzu would still show up and her bracelet would still teleport Yugo away but no one else. Now, Yuya and Yuto have telepathically merged so Yuto can't be teleported away now.
      The next episode would play out similarly with Yuya and Yuto asleep in Yuya's room. Maybe even have Yuto in Yuya's pyjamas and Yuzu would be attempting to explain who Yuto is to Yuya's mother. The same shenanigans with Aura would happen except Yuto remains asleep and after waking up and his mother leaves the room, Yuya explains the events of last night to Yuzu including the appearance of Yugo. While discussing, Yuto would wake up and the 3 of them would grow closer together. Yuya and Yuto's decks would be on Yuya's decks but Reiji still has Yuto's duel disk so Yuto is currently unable to communicate with Shun. Between Yuya, Yuzu and Yuto, I reckon the 3 of them could come to the theoretical idea that each dimension has doppelganger of each other (like in the CW Arrowverse) in order to explain why Yuya, Yuto and Yugo look alike. From this, they’d assume the same for Ruri and Yuzu and deduce that Yugo was referring to Rin in the duel from the previous night. I’d also reckon, they figure out/assume that their Fusion doppelganger is the one responsible for Ruri’s capture not Yugo which would give Yuzu more incentive to actually duel Yuri when he shows up during the battle royale.
      Yuya and Yuzu would head off for the Miami tournament but Yuto chooses to stay behind because he feels exhausted. During Yuya’s duel, I’d still have Yuya go berserk except the difference being he never actually took Dark Rebellion. Yuto would also go berserk except no-one would know as he’s home alone and Yuto would shrug it off as a dream. Yuya would still summon Dark Rebellion as it has now materialised in Yuya’s deck due to him going berserk and since Yuto is now a part of him, they both can use each other’s cards when/if they go berserk or when they’re in a pinch. However, after that moment, both would check their decks and Yuto seeing Dark Rebellion in his deck would be more convinced he was dreaming and Yuya would be confused as to how he did what he did. This would also leave Shun angry and suspicious of Yuya during the battle royale expect Yuya would confirm that Yuto is ok, unharmed, and even mention the duel against Yugo.

    • @SpecsTube
      @SpecsTube Год назад

      During the battle royale, as Yuya witnesses the Obelisk Force carding duellists, Yuya and Yuto would both simultaneously awaken and because Yuya can feel Yuto’s hatred for the Fusion dimension, he’d be more berserk, so much so that when Yuto awakens, he can see through Yuya’s eyes and moves and talks as if he’s duelling much like Yuya did when Yugo duelled during the Friendship Cup in the Synchro Dimension. This time after calming back down, Yuto would now be concerned for Yuya and get changed and head for the battle royale to check on hiem but would only reach Yuya moments before Yuya duelled Reiji. Whilst on the way, Yuto would see Yuya duelling Sora and telepathically reassure Yuya he’s doing the right thing. Shun would be glad to see Yuya and his trust in Yuya would grow.
      Looking back at Yuri, when he finally appears to Yuzu, I’d make sure to have him actually beat Yuzu rather than chase her because it really was pathetic. I can see the writers didn’t want to spoil Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, but Yuri could just duel Yuzu with his regular Predaplants to further prove his skills early on in the series. Back to Yuto, after Reiji defeats Yuya, Shun who vouches for Yuto’s skills, Yuto is also formally brought into the Lancers and Reiji returns Yuto’s duel disk meaning he can duel again.
      When the Lancers go to the Synchro Dimension, Yuto would be their with Shun and Dennis and Yuto would also be similarly suspicious of Dennis in their first Turbo Duel. Of course, Yuto would still end up in the facility like everyone else but when seeing Yuya dueltain, his respect for Yuya and even his outlook could slightly change to show some growth that started with Yuzu. The story would stay the same till the Friendship Cup. Yuto would also duel in the Cup but I’d have him duel Serena in the Round of 16 and would have her defeat, Yuto. One reason is because, I’d think Yuto would take the loss well and actually have fun but it would also be another good showcase of his skills and also so that we’d still get Yugo vs Serena later. Also, we could get more backstory for Yuto even with flashbacks to his assumed relationship with Ruri given he is duelling her Fusion counterpart.

    • @SpecsTube
      @SpecsTube Год назад

      When it comes to Yuya vs Crow, I’d have only Yuya and Yuto going berserk because it was overkill for all 4 counterpart to be going berserk simultaneously and also because we could’ve had more build up to the eventual Yugo vs Yuri duel. While Yuya is duelling Crow, you could have Yugo simultaneously duelling Yuri but they don’t use their dragons that they use their usual Speedroids and Predaplants, respectively. It always bothered me that the only Fusion monsters we saw Yuri use were Starving Venom and Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon which were so overpowered. Only until Yuya is duelling Sergey should Yugo and Yuri summon their dragons and that’s when they all start to awaken. I’d also have Yuto present for the duel and even make it a 2 v 2 (Yuya and Yuto vs Barret and Sergey). Of course, that’d mean both Yuya and Yuto would lose as Yuzu and Serena would be kidnapped. Yuya would still duel Jack and Yuto would be present when Yuya and Yuzu momentarily reunited. I’d also have Yuto join Yuya, Shun, Gongenzaka and Sawatari when they got sucked into the wormhole and sent to the Xyz dimension. The events involving Kite would remain the same but I’d have only Yuya start to duel against Edo but as Yuya is either getting pushed back or about to be defeated, that’s when Yuto’s hatred reaches his limit and he joins the duel and summons Dark Requiem - but the duel still ends in an overall draw.
      I’d only have Yuto and Shun duel the Tyler sisters later on and Yuya can still duel Edo in the rematch but I’d dial down on Yuya’s dueltaining but still have him defeat Edo. I don’t have much else to change from Yuto’s POV from this point till the duel against the Professor as I’d have to be a bit more creative given the mess with Battle Beast. However, when it comes to the duel with Ruri and Serena, this is when it gets more interesting. I’d have Yuto start the duel against Ruri with some more flashback etc and when Serena enters the duel, Yuya joins in immediately after and Yuya and Yuto both go berserk for Odd Eyes Raging Dragon. Yuya and Yuto would chase after either girl and get momentarily separated in separate cages but through a screen they both can still communicate with each other and see the main room with the Professor. After bursting out of their cages, they reunite and we have a 3 way duel against the Professor. Yuya and Yuto would once again go berserk but Yusho would pin both boys to the wall. I’d still have Yuri defeat Yugo but without the interruption Kaito and Edo but unlike with Yuya and Yuto, Yuri still physically merges with Yugo, Yuri would duel Yusho like normal but Yuya would forcibly absorb Yuto in his rage and would start to duel Yuri. Whilst duelling, I’d have Yuri and Yuya absorb Yuto/Yugo from each other when taking control of each other’s dragons. Not only could it look cool, but when Yuya goes fully Z-ARC after winning, it makes more sense since he was already 75% Z-ARC rather than just 50% Z-ARC.
      When it comes to Yuto here, my thoughts apply to more or less all 4 of the Yu-boys. Before Z-ARC summons Supreme King Z-ARC, his appearance should appear a bit blurry but once he does, he should expel the Yu-boys from his body as he no longer needs them and he has his demonic form from the Original Dimension. All 4 of the Yu-boys will have a brief moment with each other - Yuya apologise to Yuto for forcibly absorbing him and Yugo also apologising for jumping to the conclusion that Yuto was responsible for Rin’s capture. We could even have some form of redemption for Yuri where Yuri was never really in control of his actions and Z-ARC was using him to reach the rest of the counterparts in order to recombine. Regardless, all 4 agree they have the responsibility of stopping what they indirectly created so they make a run for the ARC-V reactor to retrieve Ray’s 4 Nature cards. While doing so, as Z-ARC summons the corrupted forms of each of their Dimension Dragons, the respective Yu-boy could feel the pain of their respective dragon which ends up slowing them down. Yuri could be the one to help the others as Supreme King Dragon Starving Venom wasn’t summoned until towards the end of the massive duel and it could further prove his redemption. Each Yu-boys collects the Nature card that correlates to their respective Bracelet Girl, join the duel and defeat/kill Z-ARC. (No Z-ARC turning Reira into a baby that needs to smile - that plot doesn’t exist here.)
