I had one of these Rangers, and only did kicker cs 6.5s in the doors and it was decent. I really should take the drive across the bridge with my Bronco and see what kinda magic y'all can do. The quality involved with the install and attention to detail you guys have is second to none. I'm always impressed watching your install diaries.
Hey Guys, great job. I am busy with a Ford Everest in South Africa which is very similar to the Ford Ranger. I ran into a problem with the factory signal on the speaker wires. I measured a lot of EQ with my RTA, lots of clipping with the volume around half way and ANC. After a lot of research I found a guy on Australia that had used FORSCAN to remove the factory EQ and distortion. He would not help us with any information but my client eventually tracked down a DIY guy who was able to help. I still measured ANC or fake exhaust noise even though I had unplugged the 3 mics in the headliner. I reconnected the system which has a Helix ultra, Focal 5 channel and Audiofrog 4 channel amp and I couldn’t hear any rumbling bass (ANC or fake exhaust noise on the speakers. The factory system has an active subwoofer and I am using its signal into the DSP Ultra. If I remember I didn’t pick up ANC / fake exhaust on the RTA on this signal. I only get the ANC / FA on the front speakers but I think the 80Hz 24dB crossover I am using on the front speakers filters the ANC / FA. Any suggestions, thought’s? Thanks for the great videos🙌
great job on that install it came out super clean. i tried getting the educar test tone app and was unable. i live in california and wasn't sure if that is why? i reached out to educar and no one got back to me. bummer...
@fivestarcarstereoinc Do you ever have issues with the t harness having shorts/loose pins in the plugs? I just the PAC LPHFD21 LocPro Advanced T-Harness trying to duplicate your fantastic job but having issues with the quality of the plugs on this harness.
I dont understand how a kicker key can tune your car when it has nothing to do with the sub amp. I mean if the bass is not time aligned, wouldnt it be the most noticeable being off?

Lol lol dean definitely xm antenna's. 😂😂😂😂
I’m curious how much does something like this cost I got a system installed on my truck also but I feel like I got ripped off forsure
I would guess around 7-10k
@@webberfan1234 I’m thinking somewhere in the mid $5k range.
There’s a lot of work that went into this
between 3500-5000 dollars.
The hardware, amps and speakers is like $1k msrp it's all fairly cheap gear. Those amps use to be $180 a few years ago.
@@e.emerald3224the original Key 150.4 did run just under $200. The newer version key 200.4 just a lil more at $230ish.
I will be uploading mine mine is loud and I made my sub box my self
Doesn't the key amps have built-in load resistors?
I think he’s using those for the speakers being powered by the factory radio.
Not enough
🔥👍
