Totally agree. Taron's quite a talent. Like most I really enjoyed his work in the first Kingsmen movie, but I wasn't sure he'd turn out to be such a versatile and talented actor/performer. Let's hope he steers clear of Robin Hood-quality films in future and puts his abilities to good use. It would be odd to see the star of this years musical biopic win, after last year. But it's not unimaginable. He has the talent (not that Hollywood's particularly about that!), and the Academy does love a true story, and drama with a hint of redemption. And Taron is white, so that's in his favour (I'm joking, I think the actor, from what I've seen, appears deserving and a good fit for the award).

Oh look, low IQ people getting together and patting themselves on the back. Welsh has more vowels than English, which makes it more flexible. The only people who insult it are those who are either lazy, ignorant, or lack the intellectual capacity to understand not all variations of the Phonecian/Latin alphabet are pronounced the same way as it is in English. English doesn't have the moral authority on how Letters should be Pronounced. If anything, it's the other way around seeing how Welsh was using this alphabet several centuries before the English. But hey, ignorance is Bliss. Oh, and btw....its not a difficult language to learn. Y and W are vowels, DD produces a TH sound. English is harder to learn than Welsh!!! Look up the "Welsh Not " to see Wat I mean... ...The English establishment sacked every Welsh speaking teacher in Wales and replaced them with English only speaking teachers, when the children were caught speaking Welsh, they were beat after class. It's also called "The Treachery of the Blue Books". These effects are still present today, many Welsh children grow up looking down on their language in order to score points with the English. Side note - It's happened twice, the first time under the Norman kings of England was effectively stopped thanks to Elizabeth the First who ordered the Bible translated into Welsh. Effectively saving the language....apparently, she was one of only three Monarchs of England that spoke fluent Welsh.

That last bit, though... hearing him singing Rocketman with that funny little vowel sound in "man" shows in its tiny way how well he did. It's subtle but you'd notice it if he hadn't done it.

@@Aniisananime I'm not saying that elton is better than freddie. I'm talking about the movie itself, while rocketman (the movie) was thoroughly made, bohemian rhapsody (the movie) was a bit underwhelming. Sure bohemian rhapsody (the movie) has far better actors, but the writers completely shat on freddie's true story by adding historically inaccurate senarios in order to have the most cliche'd, cookie cutter story. Again I am just simply implying that BoRhap should have been more accurate because if it did, BoRhap would be miles better than rocketman.
@@ferdinand9555 yeah agreed bohemian Rhapsody movie is a bit messed up with story, one reason is that the director was changed between the shooting, rocket man movie is actually better
Btw I like how Taron acts as well as sings perfectly, 'a strong talent for an actor'
@@Aniisananime man imagine if they would've made it properly, it would have probably been regarded as one of the greats.
Not only is elton an amazing piano player and a great singer his stage presence his something else
You can tell Taron is really singing and does so well. I believe Joaoquin Phoenix was the same deal doing the film about Johnny Cash. Definately a multi-talented stage school kid (as in his training growing up).
As a follower of Elton since the 70’s he nailed 😀
this movie was absolutely amazing
it deserved 91% fresh
Edit: Diamonds is also one of my favorite Elton John albums
Teron really did an AMAZING job on ALL sides of this role!!
Taron just can do everything
Love it......watched Rocketman over 5 times.....and will watch it again & again!!
"Egg-r-ton" umm...that is not correct, because according to the encyclopedia of jdhjskehdbdj
I think that the last word is a place in Wales where Taron grew up 🤣
@@gregorbaby4269 omg yes🤣🤣
"Welsh is of this soil, this island, the senior language of the men of Britain, and Welsh is Beautiful" - J.R.R Tolkien
@@taffyducks544 sorry if that offended you. We were just joking around🤣. To be honest I think it's quite an interesting language. Once again sorry if that offended you in anyway :)
@@alondradiaz6639 It's not a personal thing towards you - It's just annoying to see because people are unaware of the attacks the language has suffered at the hands of the English establishment for centuries. I don't think people would make off the cuff jokes if they know a bit about its history.
Effectively saving the language....apparently, she was one of only three Monarchs of England that spoke fluent Welsh.
what a great and delicious surprise for my Christmas 2021, when I decided to check out the musical. Result: Due to Taron's brilliant acting and charisma, I fell in love with Elton's story. I can't stop watching it, I think Taron's performance brought extra magic to the movie. :-)
I think this man needs an Oscar
From learning to sing linke him to learning to move like him, all of it comes together into this.
(shows shot of Elton in a baseball cap walking in a straight line doing no remarkable action or singing)
10/10 editing, boys.
MY BABY IS GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
I always thought taron would play Elton John ever since he did I'm still standing in the animation picture sing I could feel the same energy from both of them and I felt taron done this perfectly well. I have enjoyed a lot of his films recently and have found him to be quite an amazing actor 😊
3:09 anyone else notice Elton’s head gesture which Taron perfectly imitates
He did an excellent job portraying Elton. He is an amazing actor!! Loved this movie!!
I saw him at Cardiff 2 days ago! Amazing
He should have received an Oscar for that film. He was fantastic.
My uncle Is friends with Taron they went to drama school together and have been friends ever since
🤩
Loved the movie. Well done all round. Thanks 😊👍
That last bit, though... hearing him singing Rocketman with that funny little vowel sound in "man" shows in its tiny way how well he did. It's subtle but you'd notice it if he hadn't done it.
I love Rocketman ,Elton and Taron❤❤❤
I wonder of this movie idea came from Kingsman 2. Elton John had a cameo in that
rj yes it did
Yea they both was in there haha
slim shady no, it did not. The idea to make a biopic about Elton John did not come from Kingsman, and neither did Edgerton being cast as Elton. Elton had his heart set on Taron playing him after hearing him sing one of his songs in the movie ‘Sing’
Taron debió haber sido nominado a los Oscars!!! Es muy talentoso y profesional!!!
When you do all that research but you still manage to pronounce it “egg-er-ton”
So, this video proves what a great actor Taron is.
My friend was in rocket man (young Elton)

Taron was absolutely brilliant, the movie was great!
