I managed to get him while I was at the B rank watch. I was a TINY bit over levelled from quest grinding, had some beef tongue from recruiting a blazion, and got a golden heart wisp. It was like the game wanted me to have him. As if it was rewarding me for doing so many quests
Yeah it does that i don't think its cool to level up gargaros's power because you crossed the street wrong i beat him once but didn't befriend him in the bony spirits way...

I made a point to befriend Snartle very early on in the game. I think I got him when I was only about 10 hours in. As soon as Shopper's Row was available I went and bought a marbled beef, saved my game in front of a cross walk, and kept battling and resetting about 10 times until I got him.
Before I got snartle, I got kiwinyan which is really good tank, so when I fought him, I spammed kiwinyan’s soultimate which buffs his defense lol and it made the fight ten times easier

I find Awevil is useful for defeating Snartle, Awevil's inspirit can do up to 1220 damage to Snartle, and with enough revives and healing items, you can defeat Snartle with a bit of luck. My team was about level 60-70 when i got Snartle.
I used 2 Rhyths with the seaweed trios equipment to constantly buff SPD and heal my damage dealer. I think they got hit about 3 times throughout the fight.
I know what I am about to ask is asking the impossible, but, will someone do a video on how to get Gargaros, Ogralus, and Orcanos? You CAN get them idk how though.
Namanamahage (Japanese: なまなまはげ) is a Rank S Ice-attribute Yo-kai of the Brave tribe. The Yo-kai Medallium bio reads; "Snartle has removed his mask and his true, raw nature has been revealed! He doesn't discriminate between good or bad kids anymore." Namanamahage evolves from Snartle when fused with a Namadama.
anakin blood Ogralus is a He, Gargaros's 2nd brother, & Orcanos is the 3rd and most Brutal 99 lvl. yokai stand a chance but mine didn't prob cause i had a 80 something level in there... apparently Gilgaros is also related to gargaros. Every oni but suspicioni, Tantroni, Contrarioni, Damona, & Oni king. plus the others not in yokai watch games for 3ds' if i missed any, i think.
I'm not sure if anyone else has had this same experience, but if you know the "cycle" of crossing the red lights (Snartle >> Snartle >> Gargaros >> repeat) the 2nd time I fight Snartle was really hard, even with my best Yo-kai, but after losing that fight and the Gargaros afterward, fighting the "1st" Snartle felt easier for some reason. Idk if that's intentional or I was lucky, but I found it a bit strange...
TheLuckyThirteenth it's just a psychological mind trick; when you fight something strong, then do something stronger, it makes the first thing seem easier
Abdallah if you want to do a tutorial on how to get sporink you go to the hot springs and in front you have to summon washogun and take his quest then you go back at night and you fight sporink but don't save because he is an auto befriend but you have to bring something back for him and he will be your friend didn't go too much into specifics but you will get it once you take on the quest.
One thing - defeating any individual PART of a boss activates Sword Hunting. Things like Massifase's eyes, Hans Full's globes, and Slimmander's heads will activate it. Enjoy the boost on bosses. It won't work on bosses with no separate parts, like Sproink.
I highly recommend "poisoning" him (inspiriting him in a way that his HP decreases each turn). As a matter of fact, i actually befriended this guy using Rawry of the Eerie tribe (that Yo-kai with maracas that evolves using a Horn, as in the music horn) since not only his inspirit poisons, but his ability strengthens these effects. This kind of ability cuts the enemy Yo-kai's HP by a fixed percentage, so you can do massive damage against Snartle even with a lvl 1 Yo-kai. Of course, just as Abdallah said, it's best if you have a strong frontline since you do not want Snartle to defeat your allies and get pumped up because of its ability.
Just as a warning when trying to befriend snartle. If you kill him twice and unable to befriend him, you may end up fighting an oni. It happened to me once. To add a tip, I would strongly suggest saving before attempting to befriend snartle.
You really should try and get him while you have a c rank watch. He is roughly level 35 at that time and a good team in the 30-40s can beat him with a smidge of luck.
Me! He's like the yokai watch wiki, but it's a lot easier to befriend certain yokai with his videos though its mostly rare ones. Here's a tip: toiletta for foiletta or just cause is in the 3rd floor of the school bathroom, just stand in the bathroom for a sec and she appears behind you. Her fave food is snacks you get those from frostia's place at night.

Fed him Fruit Drops (best I could do right now) while using Buchinyan(LV6), Victory Soultimate Jibanyan(LV8), Baddinyan(LV15), Coin-purse Komasan(LV8), the Brushido from the battle tutorial(LV8), and Shadow Venoct for insurance(LV5).
i have lvl 36 komane ,lvl 37 buchinyan,lvl27 pinkipoo,lvl 29 slicenrice , lvl 24 lodo and lvl 15 baddinyan but i have a lvl 50 robokapp and wondernyan but nothing i need help with getting snartle im at A rank

Insomni and Frostina work great together. Lower all stats and then lower attack. Any very good attack yokai are good too.

Lets be honest here. Snartle is very strong but gets ousted easily as well. Gleam is a prime example.

Me, you can get Berzerker from conbining Hissfit and a Raging Blade, Berzerker's about 2% as powerful as Snartle.

Popped a gold wisp, and I recruited first try! That was the most satisfying recruit that wasn't a rare from the Crank-A-Kai

I got Snartle twice in yokai bony spirit by repeatedly battling him with high level yokai from fleshy souls at the beginning of the game.
I already got snartle near the end of the story and I didn't even feed him and got him and he was one of the only reasons I beat the game

I got Snartle Without giving him meat! I got a whisp with a heart in it which probably helped me
