💨 FAA Downwash Testing with Midnight 💨
Midnight recently completed a downwash testing campaign with the FAA that included a series of six flights in four days. The campaign will provide the FAA with valuable data about the impact of our aircraft’s downwash/outwash footprint when taking off and landing at helipads across the country - an important step in unlocking access to additional aviation infrastructure that will further support the ramp up of our commercial operations.

I can’t wait for the opportunity to fly it. I’ve been looking since launch day for the details and qualifications to fly. I’m a commercial pilot with current IFR rating, and CFI.

I’m hoping to fly it as well someday. I believe the FAA is working on a certification called a Power Lift Rating for Pilots for these type of aircraft. I will continue to keep a close eye on this company.
