Who would have thought that a character who started out almost as a cliche jock could be developed so well that he leaves an emotional impact like this?Troy is quite honestly the heart of the show and his friendship with Abed is truly amazing. Two characters who really couldn't be more different in the beginning grew so close together as both Troy and Abed accepted one another for who the were. Just one more time for the memories: Troy and Abed in the Morning!

If i would of won the lottery when the jackpot was at the 1 billion, I EASILY would of funded the movie and obviously give Dan Harmon all creative control. Maybe i’ll win the next jackpot. And pay Donald Glover any amount to make sure he comes back
Think there's been some news recently about someone saying he believes it comes, forget who it was but he does have a connection to the show. They could easily have Troy return from his trip.

Im just trying to imagine what a Community would even be like or look like, especially now since it's been years since the original show and now that Donald Glover is a bigger star than pretty much everyone? Like would everyone come back? What about Chevy Chase would he even comeback too? How much time would they spend at Greendale? Where would the movie come out on?

Hell, at this point the "movie" is the MCU with the Russo's and co throwing practically the whole cast a cameo.

I literally teared up at the end there, and I have seen this episode a few times before lol. So good.
I always liked Britta, but this episode made me realized that she's my favorite. And for anyone who stopped watching after this episode, you missed some amazing jokes.
Yeah britta truly cares about her friends even tho she can be annoying sometimes and went from the cool activist with no self awareness to a lovable goofball which I thought was weird I would assume she’s still working on her masters in psychology or she’s finished it idk
The total quality of the show really dropped off after season 4, but yeah, the entire show is absolutely amazing. Even the "worst seasons" of this show are like an 8/10 and it's rewatchable as fuck.

@@zacharyno9598 5 is good, but 6 is really not even watchable a second time through. I haven’t watched season 6 in years. 4 is kinda of meh compared to 1-3, but I still think I like it more than 5. It’s an opinion.
No Srj, Chang and his boys were inspired by Rufio and The Lost (locker) Boys from Peter Pan lore. Rana and Chris mentioned it 3 times at this point. Shout out to Rufio played by Dante Bosco who was Zuko.
Hickey's character and the chairwalkers were mostly inspired by the Smokers from Waterworld.
"This is deep on so many levels". I wish you had realised that during the Dreamatorium episode where Abed's autism was the focus of the story. Instead, you guys laughed at one of the saddest, deepest moments on the show.
I just finished community again since it being on Netflix and Abed is still my favorite. He’s learned to cope with the complexities and uncertainties of life by using pop culture references. If anyone is crazy it’s the people around him that think he’s crazy. Abed is brave.
I have spent several months trying to piece together a community movie outline. It involves Abed leading the team on an expedition to rescue Troy and LeVar Burton from South America.the movie would show that pierce faked his death and trick Troy and LeVar Burton into taking a boat around the world so he could abduct them and make them hang out with him on an island off of the coast of South America that he happens to own. Space you could even have Pierce recast and just say that he had facial reconstruction surgery to look like someone else.
Or. We have Betty white in South America kidnap Troy and LeVar Burton.
They're lost in the Gulf Of Mexico
This is the kind of emotional depth that season 4 lacked for me, it was fun, but it never got to the highs some other episodes did, specially the PERSONAL aspect of how deep it is
Season 4 relied too much on old tropes and traits instead of going forward and deep
It has a few emotional moments tho

@@smarkslowplay3512 yeah and it’s my first time watching this show as I’m commenting this, I’m on season 5 (almost finished) and realizing that 4 wasn’t bad at all (especially the game episode) I kept hearing it was only to enjoy it quite a bit, of course it’s not as golden like 1-3 but 5 picks it up again
I think the issue was creative development of the course of the situations for the group, and 5 takes that direction of different courses, but all and all I’m still having fun
@@ninjanibba4259 good for you. Style, look, sound, direction for seasons 5 and 6 are pretty different from the previous ones. But that doesn't make them worse, just different. First half of season 5 is almost perfect imo
I remember crying watching this. Troy is my favorite. Good thing is the rest of season five is just as good.

Just watched this episode for the first time ever and this is my favourite episode ever. Loved it so much! I love the floor is lava, all their imagination (the shout out to Hook cracked me up) but especially cloning Abed so he could cope and the emotionality of the ending ahhh it was all so perfect. What a great episode of TV and I loved your reactions too!!
Aww Well now Troy and Peirce are gone. I still liked the rest of season 5, and I liked season 6.

Avxx00 Yeah, but he doesn't quite knock it out of the park like she did. He had some weird jokes that don't land (could blame the writing) and his character wasn't as flushed out as hers. Would have loved to see him and Pierce interact.

Doctor Beverly Crusher did travel into a star in one episode using a Ferengi's metaphasic shielding in a shuttlecraft to prove that he was murdered by that other dude. Season 6, episode 22.

I'll always be amazed at how often Greendale can go post-apocalyptic at the drop of a hat.
Apparently you guys aren't familiar with Waterworld. Or The Warriors.
Waterworld is also a reference to Troy's ending of sailing away and living on a boat, and also the kinda film whose place in cinematic history woulda been interesting to Abed and thus to Troy.

@@Ratchet2431 Not as badly though, since he was almost MIA in most of season 4, only making a couple of appearances/one liners for much of the season, he had one foot out the door already. Troy was still a huge part of the series up until this moment

As great as this episode is, it really does bug me when Troy asks "Why don't they call it Planet Trek? You never go to a star. Not one episode." Except that they did in the first episode of season 3. They monitor a star to monitor the decay of neutronium!
You can technically add the episode Reunion as well, since they investigate a Dyson sphere, which is a structure wrapped around a star to a livable environment.

I love this episode but one thing that gets me is he says why is it called star trek you guys never went to a star like ever. Yes yes they did many many tedious times. I love that LeVar Barton did this multiple times though and still appreciate trek and who being parodied

Another great season 5 episode. The contrast with season 4 is frighteningly huge.
Now, it didn't have the spark of the paint ball episodes, especially the double-season 2 finale, something was missing... but still, it was very well crafted, and pretty meaningful. I remember when it aired, I thought they were gonna handle Troy's departure in a cheap way, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Oh, and : "I wanna say something to you guys about mental health" XD
Arbed always my favourite and the reason that I keep watching this show is because Troy and Arbed together. I'm a little sad now, want them together again.😢😂
Guava Island is kind of a extend version of a few songs/clips of the Childish. It's cool if you are a fan, but it's not "the new awesome thing made by Donald Glover "

i cant say i love any episodes after that point as much as my other favourites from this and previous seasons.
please note that this is a personal opinion and not some grand fact. i am also not claiming community episodes are bad after that point, just that i dont have many favourites left. the show is still good and i can totaly see why others would love some of these later episodes. ^^
