Honestly Cody you could just fuck around on any mountain sport you want, wherever, and I'd still watch it (as long as you start each episode with buenos dias of course)
I think I'm realizing that I watched The Fifty more for you and Bjarne and the other characters that showed up than I watched it for the original end goal. Stoked to see you continuing the channel!
having ur channel with the fifty series as well as following along with mediocre amateur i think this has been some of the best mountain content on youtube.
Cody - FWIW - I stuck my hand over the edge of a little overhang in Idaho one time when I was scrambling on a rocky slope only to hear a very distinct rattle. I took my hand back and looked into the crack to see 2 young timber rattlers less than 1 ft away from where my hand had been. I took their advice and became somewhat more careful about blind hand placements... Your 50 classics series was a favorite for our whole family viewing together. We're looking forward to the new series.
It might just be your opinion man but so was the book the opinions of the authors. Also, your opinion has a lot of credibility with all of your experience and transparent decision making with experienced friends. Looking forward to the new series. Stay humble.
So good! Following all of the original 50 videos I was often curious about what you would consider 'classic',...what you find aesthetic, meaningful, and worthwhile. Can't wait to find out!
Welcome back Cody and to all of us, your fans! So many lines, such a short life. Give it up - while the background looks E Sierra, the line you scramble up looks like Terminal Cancer Couloir. Tell!
So stoked for this! I wonder if 3/4 Couloir at Morraine Lake, AB will make the plus list. It’s definitely the most photographed couloir in Canada (and used to be on the $20 bill!) and at least as aesthetic as the nearby Aemmer Couloir.
Thank you for continuing to put out great content in a mindful way. The only thing missing in this video was getting back to the car and having a beer (or whiskey)
sounds good I look forward to it. Especially as I was starting to get the vibe that some of the 50 classics....were getting a bit tired. Perhaps no longer showing up in their former glory.
Really hoping Chimney Couloir on Katahdins or Rioux Couloir in the Chic Chocs is on the list. Might have moved out west but those east coast lines are more than classic
I think the thing you really missed in this objective... is embracing the love of discovery and adventure. The best part of adventuring in the mountains is the love of being in the mountains and discovering new and more things to do and learn.
Does it have to be Classic Lines or do other "Classic" ski experiences count now too? Like an all-time classic Hut or winter camping spot to ski out of, even if it's 300m laps cause you're guaranteed beauty views and waist deep pow?
I recall the Cody from the early days of the 50. He seemed to enjoy the challenges of touring and suffering to pursue the 50, making the videos wonderful to watch. Later in the series, the enthusiasm and joy were absent and I felt I was watching videos of a fat guy who complained about having to tour mountains. I wish the joy aspect could return. I'm not sure I understand the direction of this new series. In the next video, don't understand why Cody and wife are camping during a day hike, and I don't understand why Cody is now the solo arbiter that determines what constitutes a 'classic'. I would be much more interested in seeing some climbing and those beautiful turns that Cody makes.
Hey dude, I appreciate the comments. While I disagree with the overall viewpoint, if that’s the way you feel, then that’s the way you feel. To the more specific statements, I think we covered it in the first episode, I wanted to take Elyse winter camping for the first time and this was a great excuse and easy place to do that. Everything doesn’t have to make rational sense. As far as the solo arbiter of what constitutes a classic, because that’s what I’m doing. It’s an irrational game to play that makes a great excuse to climb, ski and talk about these lines. Regarding the fun aspect, I think this new series is going to be more fun simply because we get to follow the true philosophy of backcountry skiing, “You ski what the mountains let you ski”, not trying to force a check mark of an arbitrary list on to the day’s plans.
Was hoping we'd get an update soon. Last 50 video ended pretty anti-climatically after a long time of invested screen time. I hope you haven't lost viewer interest momentum. But im looking forward to new videos
Dude, please stop rock climbing with rings on! Safety fist. No one wants to see you degloved! Love the channel and everything about the adventure. Thanks for the inspiration.
Honestly Cody you could just fuck around on any mountain sport you want, wherever, and I'd still watch it (as long as you start each episode with buenos dias of course)
nevermind i just saw you hating on mt baker skiing on your website, unfollowed, blocked, and reported
@@skymaze777lol
Will Bjarne be joining you?
Hope so
I watched the first episode at a film festival in Seattle, no Bjarne :(
I think I'm realizing that I watched The Fifty more for you and Bjarne and the other characters that showed up than I watched it for the original end goal. Stoked to see you continuing the channel!
it really is the Top Gear of adventure sports. These 2 can do whatever they want and i'll tune in.
having ur channel with the fifty series as well as following along with mediocre amateur i think this has been some of the best mountain content on youtube.
Criminal not to add Nikolai Schirmer to this list!!!
Man, the idea of doing this voiceover while just climbing up to the camera but never really getting closer in most shots is pure genius. Love it.
You're totally right, sometimes you just gotta climb for the shot!

Skiing hidden gems and obscure classics is way cooler than checking off known lines. I’m diggin it 👍
It might just be your opinion man but so was the book the opinions of the authors.

Looking forward to the new series.
Stay humble.
My whole family is stoked to watch this series!!!
So happy you are continuing the adventures.
Like someone else here said, whatever you do Cody, many of us will watch. You're engaging and fun, of course skiing is amazing. Safe travels.
Cody, I'm so pumped you are sharing this with us. We missed you man!!!
Thanks for continuing the adventure! My family loves watching your stuff.
You could post any skimo video and I'd be here for it. Thanks for always sharing the stoke!
Thought the 50 plus was a mountian adventure show for aging athletes
It really holds the room together
Cody!! Buenos días from Spain. Thank's for came back. I really enjoy a lot watching the Chanel 😊and all your works are good
Great to have you back Cody!
Stoked for the continuation of a rad adventure!
So good! Following all of the original 50 videos I was often curious about what you would consider 'classic',...what you find aesthetic, meaningful, and worthwhile. Can't wait to find out!
I love your episodes. Thanks for continuing the fifty.
Totally looking forward to some new adventures!
Nice,
glad to see you back!
Yeah dude bring it. I'm stoked!
Cody is crushing it so hard he started New game Plus
psyched! thanks!
Welcome back Cody and to all of us, your fans! So many lines, such a short life. Give it up - while the background looks E Sierra, the line you scramble up looks like Terminal Cancer Couloir. Tell!
Tram Face in Olympic Valley.
Love the intro. ⛰⛰⛰

Can't wait!!!!!
stoked to get to work on one of these after watching them since the begining
Fifty + sounds like a streaming service! I'd sign up for that.
Yay! I’ve been jonesing for some fifty!
Yes! Love your content.
Thank you for continuing to put out great content in a mindful way. The only thing missing in this video was getting back to the car and having a beer (or whiskey)
Stoked!

Stoked
Yes!!
Yeah buddy!!
We need MORE videos of Cody just talking and touching rocks :)
Hell ya! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Are you going to have merch at some point? New logo is sick, hyped for this new series
It looks like your first episode will be in my hometown of Alaska!
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?
Really hoping Chimney Couloir on Katahdins or Rioux Couloir in the Chic Chocs is on the list. Might have moved out west but those east coast lines are more than classic
Gotta come ski the avalanch couloir in rogers pass it's an all-time classic. Far better that some of the lines in the pass in the 50

also, FYI you have a 404 error on the "Episodes" tab
Does it have to be Classic Lines or do other "Classic" ski experiences count now too? Like an all-time classic Hut or winter camping spot to ski out of, even if it's 300m laps cause you're guaranteed beauty views and waist deep pow?
Was the line you just hiked, the same line the boulder tried to take you and Bjarne out?

Is this class 3 romp in tahoe? Im in sac and don’t know many scrambles close by besides that ridge in desolation
And here I am thinking Cody was introducing 50 rad hikes. Thank god!
Awesome! It would be pretty funny if there was some Squallywood bias built into this too….
buenos dias 😎
Give us Cody and Bjarne, and some type 2 fun, and we will watch it!
Are you hiking up one of the lines? Cause it sure seems like that could be the tram line.
You're supposed to yell "ROCK!!!" 😜4:00
Real missed opportunity to call it Cody's Classics!
woohoo!
Does anyone know the area in the video where Cody is scrambling up the rocks?
Tram Chute.
The Dude abides
YIPPEEE!
Oh thank god.
I just wanna see Cody + Nikolai team up for a few videos.
Whoooooooop
Awesome 🙌 Cody and co up mountains 🎉 very glad to have the videos and adventures back . Thank you 🤩
Was hoping we'd get an update soon. Last 50 video ended pretty anti-climatically after a long time of invested screen time. I hope you haven't lost viewer interest momentum. But im looking forward to new videos
First!
So excited to see what you've got in store for us man!
Alright, Anyone know what mountain Topo the logo is?
Edit: Definitely Denali
I'm leaning towards a vertically exaugurated Denali.
What watch is he wearing?
I like it too. Swatch Neon Jelly
Come to Europe
how did you get down?
we just walked off the back its really fun you get to run down the scree slope
Bro said I'm running out - time to make my own
And you thought judging Rampage was complicated!
Fifty+ should be cody going to st elias 20 times in a row, never summiting, always barely escaping death
Hopefully you can chase ideal conditions after freeing yourself from the 50 classics list.
Bjarne….where are you!!!
Done
Dream quality?! Have you been microdosing in the mountains?
