Fantastic!!! I've wondered about this, and am very thankful for you proving it can be done!
Just finished integrating this into my daily vault, it looks great!! im excited to see what it'll look like after I use it for a while
Cool! Good how-to with a practical example too. Thanks.
Thanks, Danny.
Tracking food and calories is something I should do to reduce the waistline (looks like you've beaten the college +25lb so far!), but the real value here for me is the illustration of deeper Metadata Menu and Canvas integration.
The recipe concept with what I believe is new sub-table functionality in M.M. has so much potential -- personally and at work.
This is awesome. The only thing I might want in addition to this is a way to track how much/many of a specific ingredient you might need to buy
Yeah, I had that in the past, but didn't keep up with it so took it out.
Wow!😗
Thanks, this is awesome. I have a small question, is there an easy way to add an expiration date of the ingredients you own to help with the planning?
Yes. You can put a date property on ingredients. I tried it but never kept up with it 😅
@@DannyHatcherTech thanks, I’ll try that!
Great content! What is the plugin you are using to resize the input frame of the metadata window 13:55 in this video?
No plugin, I just used the toggle at the bottom of the input box.
Hi, thank you so much for this video. Had been looking for this for a while. Question- do we have to manually create the Ingredient files, or can they be auto-crated once Recipe files have been created. Thank you :)
Obsidian doesn't automatically create files, but when a link is made in one file a 'placeholder' has been created which you can use.
I manually add in eat ingredient but you don't need to.
@@DannyHatcherTech Hi! Thank you for your reply. I have created the files. But currently, I am facing 2 issues, and I will be really grateful if you could redirect me to any resources that could help me with it:
1. How to use the metadata plugin?
2. My dataview query in the canvas for recipes and shopping list is not fetching anything.
Thank you😁🤎
@@chandrashipra I have a recent video on MDM plugin. I would check the query if reuslts arent shown.
Hi Danny. I would like to know if you have repaired the screen of your android ? thank you
Nope. My phone has been broken for iver 2 years but it doesnt bother me enough to get it fixed.
Very nicely done, but what the hell is this Javascript Code :D Use functions and .map()
I copy and paste it most the time 😅
First comment, anyways keep up the good work!
After 5 years obsidian users be like-
If you need to do something make your own program in obsidian using java, python, c++, css etc and still say it's easy and awesome
Easy *if you know how....
