    I am a purist, not enough of the original car left. I saw a video about an original Porsche, they only replaced what needed to be replaced, nothing more.

    Not much of the original car left there! Looks great.

    I don't understand, This is a restoration or a new built ?

      It is essentially a brand new car.

      I had an uncle in Phoenix who restored cars from the early 1900's. Some you wouldn't even think we're restorable. It would take him about 10 years, but they were award winners afterwords. Doing what he did before all this technology, it could take him a couple of years just to do research and start finding parts, or have them made by a machinist friend of his.

      They kept the radiator cap and screwed a new car underneath it.

    Why not buy a Dynacorn, 1965 mustang convertible body to start with?

    • @darnoldie

      That's the question I asked too. A lot of effort went in to preserving the original cowl. It makes you wonder if the VIN comes in to play.

      @@darnoldie The vin is stamped on the inner fender panel

    Beautiful build, but not a restoration. There isn’t even enough of this car left to justify using that VIN number.

  • @StabTheDabb
    @StabTheDabb 2 года назад +1

    It’s more of a Restomod not a Restoration because the car was Originally a Coupe that someone Converted to a Convertible at some point into the Cars life. Then Most of it was replaced with Dynacorn Panels excluding the Trunklid, Door hinges, Cowl and Dash. Plus the Aftermarket suspension. That’s a restomod NOT an OEM Restoration. Other than that, The final product turned out nice in the end.

    You should just start making new 69 mustangs and sell them. For whatever fords sticker price was.

  • @nefaurora
    @nefaurora 5 лет назад +1

    Hardly a Restoration....If it is, Its a VERY poor one as the car was way more original before they started to rip it apart... Chalk up another one for the Restomod crowd.....as this car IS a Restomod...!.....Not even close to Original anymore.

    Took an old car made it modern, tastefully rebuilt, and restored. Ya’ll don’t do cheap and it shows! Not perfect but close, and if the customer is happy then job done. I would be proud to have this automobile. And I would probably have each and everyone of you sign it!

    How to build a better 65 Mustang from scratch. Get some really good craftsman and 175K and you're ready to go. Will it ever be worth more than it costs to build? With inflation growing by the minute, this is a million dollar car by 2024. So there's that...

    You turned a perfectly good metal body into a bondomobile. Once it's painted you'll say... Ah but the tap test gives it away. Panels, doors, hoods and lids for rigidity are bowed out in the middle, not perfectly flat. Under seal spray inside bottom third of doors.

    Anybody recognize that station wagon in the background on the lift. ?? It's the huckster mobile it's sold at Barrett-Jackson for big big big money. It looks to me like the only original pieces left on this mustang is the door hinges and the hood.
